I think this simple bar necklace has been so successful because it SIMPLY WORKS…….Wear it with a Tee shirt, a sweat shirt, a hoodie, a Tee shirt dress, a WK sweater, a Jersey dress, a faux Shetland sweater [shown above], or anything else you can come up with. It doesn’t clash or look too much. It isn’t so minimal that why bother….it’s just enough. It draws peoples attention, and always gets stares and compliments. It’s the type of necklace anyone, at any age can wear…………The gold is classic, the silver is cool and modern, the gunmetal has an edgier more downtown vibe, and the new ROSE GOLD is softer and gentler…………………There are many who own many, and have collected each color…..They make the best presents!…………………………………………………………..

……………………………The WING COLLAR SHIRT, A259103, is back and ready for ordering. For me this is the best cotton shirt I have done. Don’t get me wrong, I love the Kate shirt, and the previous cotton shirts, but the WING COLLAR works under everything, and all types of collars…..even stand collars as shown above. If you like to flip your collars, which is the proper way to wear a Wing Collar, this is your best choice. A “Wing Collar” comes from men’s dress formal shirts. They have very short back stands so you do not fold them over. The front collars “flips” automatically. Of course for those who do not “flip” the back stand can be folded over to create a very narrow stand, and doing this will keep the front collar flat. It frames the face like no other collar and doesn’t have to be adjusted all day. The wing collar shirt, for those new to Linea. is made in my custom cotton/span fabric. Why do I say custom, because this fabric is made exclusively for me every time I create a shirt in this fabric, or reorder a style in this cotton. It is a very fine twill with a minimum amount of span to give just enough stretch. If you are tired of buying white cotton shirts that are thin and cheap looking, even though they are not inexpensive……I think this will be your answer. There are no “chemicals” used in creating this fabric to prevent wrinkling so some ironing may be required. I think you should know that up front, but since the shirts in this fabric have been reordered MANY times, it doesn’t seem to be that big a problem. The fabric, handled correctly, will always look CRISP…..The shirt has a button cuff and a placket and button on the sleeve as do traditional menswear shirts. The bottom has a curved hem. Shirts worn on the outside can be more flattering with a curved hem on some body types than a straight across hem……If you are a WHITE SHIRT LOVER like many of my Linea Ladies are, you may want to own more than one, two or even three as many women already do……………White shirts can really spike a spring, summer and FALL outfit and give it a fresh spirited look……….Above, a good example of how a White Wing Collar Shirt can give a fall look a lift is the DARK UMBER FAUX SUEDE JACKET, A279526, with the DARK UMBER LINEA BODY LEGGING, A260034. I have chose some simple, but impressive accessories. The DEMI HOOP earring in CHOCOLATE, an umber calf belt and a NEW SLIDE NECKLACE due in November in time for Holiday presents. The slide necklace above is in CHOCOLATE METAL with a REAL TIGER EYE LARGE DROP!! It’s so new I do’t even have the style number yet! ……………………………..BLACK………………..was the most requested color when I asked all of you for color suggestions for the reorder of thew Wing Collar Shirt……so…..by popular demand here is your new BLACK WING COLLAR SHIRT. I think it is well established how beautiful Black and ALABASTER look. Above the Alabaster Crepe Gauze pant, A267294, and for those lucky few that own the Alabaster/Black color block cardigan, you have one dramatically beautiful outfit…….BTW….the Lt. Khaki Gaucho or the Slate Blue Gaucho above, A273865, can look just as beautiful…………In the spring and summer there is nothing quite like a BLACK SHIRT, sleeves rolled for a casual confident look, and a white bottom…..be it white jeans, trousers, white shorts or leggings….or a very sexy white pencil skirt, boho skirt or maxi skirt. A good black shirt will be an ESSENTIAL part of your wardrobe………………….The RIBBON NECKLACE above, J331643, in SILVER is just the right length to work perfectly with the wing collar shirt……..For the black and alabaster I have chosen a spot of color with the new GOLD SLIDE NECKLACE, and the simulated CARNELIAN RED DROP……………….EVERYONE should have at the very least….one BLACK shirt in their wardrobes……………………….enjoy………………………much Love……………………….Louis

………………………………..PALE PINK………………….in the WING COLLAR SHIRT is returning………Yes, I know, I said I will not bring back “old” colors and will offer only new…..however the demand to bring the pale pink was so strong that the buyers wanted to bring it back…….I was happy to do so……………There probably isn’t anything as flattering to the face as a pale pink…..whatever. The wing collar, framing the face, immediately casts a pretty glow. A Pink shirt is a CLASSIC timeless piece. It’s not about fads or what’s in or out……it’s always IN. It works for women of any age. It’s up to the individual how they want to style it. I always love PINK and BLACK. Above, I wave the Pink shirt with the Black Gaucho Moss Crepe Gaucho pant, A273865, the new LACQUER BLACK TRAPEZE NECKLACE, the BLACK WIRE CUFF, not shown, and the GUNMETAL Demi HOOP EARRING . Since there aren’t any black earrings avail. I think the Gunmetal hoop or stud [avail in the set of for, on clearance] are your best bets. A Diamond stud will also look wonderful. ……………………………A280938, is the style number of the new OPEN FRONT CARDIGAN……..This is a Whisper Knit cardigan with Jersey sleeves which has approx. 6 inch 2 by 2 rib starts.The top part of the cardigan is made from the same 2 by 2 ribs cut on the horizontal. These ribs create the fold over collar…..The bottom of the sweater, and the complete back are made in the jersey stitch as are the sleeves. The bottom of the sweater also has a 2 1/2 inch rib border. The sweater is cut in such a way as to create an asymmetric looking hem, meaning the front hangs lower than the back. as you can see in the photos above. It is the GUNMETAL ZIPPER that separates the top ribs from the jersey bottom that gives this cardigan that special panache….that special verve that you look for in a Linea garment………….The quality is all there…..the Whisper Knit yarn, the craftsmanship….the details. You know instantly that this is no ordinary cardigan…..you know that it is a special designer piece. Since this is an open front cardigan without any closures…..I thought it would be a good idea to give you some ideas how to close it, if you wish, with a brooch. Also a “jewelry” safety pin would work just as well…Look at all the photos above….There are also many ways to wear this cardigan! Wear it over a dress both short and long…..the same for skirts. I have chosen A267882, the ALABASTER short sleeve jewel neck sweater, coming back in Jan/ Feb, over the ALABASTER GAUZE CREPE PANT, A267294. The color combination is so elegant…..very “Art Deco”……..I have often said that not every style is suited for everyone, and I think this is one of those pieces. I think most of you know instinctively whether an open front cardigan will work for your body type. It can be especially challenging for those with a large bosom, and or large mid sections. There are however ways to handle that problem…..wearing the cardigan over all black or dark colors where the contrast isn’t as severe as the alabaster and black will camouflage the problem areas……..Also wearing the cardigan closed with a brooch as shown above will work very well for women with a large top. This will keep the cardigan from falling out to the sides. The weight of the metal zippers also helps to keep the cardigan in place…….For my petite ladies I think this cardigan will work well for you, because the front is basically short and the sleeves can easily be folded back to create a nice ribbed cuff………….This is a special piece to add to your wardrobes…………………………enjoy………………………..much Love………………………….Louis
