“A DAY AT THE POOL CON’T”

………….It really was the perfect day to skip the bush and take a day off just to relax. The weather couldn’t have been nicer. The shaded lounges were very welcome, because the sun was very strong. The breeze off the river kept you cool from the blazing sun. The water was cold but refreshing once you goy used to it. I asked Dolly if she was the life guard too. “THE POOL, GYM, GIFT SHOP & SPA AT DUMA TAO”

…………..The pool was located just after the last room down the path. It was between the DumaTao camp and Small Duma camp and was shared by both camps. It was situated right on the Linyanti River…WHAT A BREATHING VIEW!!!!! Chris and I decided to take an afternoon off from going into the bush and took advantage of the pool, gym and spa. I ordered lunch, a Cesar salad with chicken and COLD AFRICAN WHITE WINE! which Dolly brought me with a smile and a giggle. The pool water took some getting used to, it was cold, but once I got used to it….it felt wonderful under the heat of the African sun. After lunch and a swim Temmy gave me a fantastic massage followed by a sea salt scrub. She was great. I played my music and I was lost in the moment. After the scrub Temmy escorted outside to another small building which was the bathroom and shower. It was fully equipped with shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and moisturizer and huge soft bath towels…..wonderful. Chris was up next. One wall of the massage room was all glass and Chris had a audience of monkeys! He agreed with me that Temmy was fabulous, and Chris should know because he owned a spa for a few years, but that’s another story. I truly wish we had a few more days at DumaTao to just lay out at the pool!
