“L’AMOUR L’AMOUR TOUJOURES L’AMOUR”

…………………………….LOVE LOVE ALWAYS LOVE…..is what is inscribed in side the NEW ring………..in FRENCH!…….J406417 is the style number. This is one of my newest STERLING SILVER and STERLING SILVER with 18 KARAT GOLD PLATE pieces……The BOMBE top and down the sides are totally paved in CUBIC ZARCONIA……It is meticulously made in ITALY like all of my other Sterling pieces, and it is a SPECTACULAR RING. Right now it’s avail in sizes 5 through 11, but a warning…….it already is selling incredibly well and it’s only been avail for two days!……..Ladies this is a BEAUTY…..Of course LOUIS DELLOLIO is inscribed inside……..One of Jac and my favorite movies is “THE WOMEN” directed by George Cukor in 1939. It has a stellar cast of all WOMEN…….One of our favorite characters is the “COUNTESS” played by Mary Boland……She has a famous line…..After quite a few cocktails, the thrice divorced Countess exclaims…..”L’Amour L’Amour Toujoures L’Amour”…..Every time we looked at the movie, and she delivers that line…..we would crack up……I know you will love this ring!!!!On another note…..I have been informed that Linea fashion jewelry has been found in one of the warehouses…..so periodically you will see older pieces suddenly appear. I don’t know how all of these pieces could have been misplaced, and for so long, but they have. There are very few pieces of each so if you do want to add these to your collection….DO NOT HESITATE! I noticed the TASSEL GRANDE reappeared in BOTH COLORS. This is a great piece…..a one of a kind special piece….so consider these “new” arrivals as a second chance!

“THE WOMEN”

…….You never know where inspiration comes from…..In this case it’s a line from the movie “THE WOMEN”……. L’Amour L’Amour Toujoures L’Amour was uttered by the “COUNTESS” after a few cocktails by actress Mary Boland. She is wearing the funny black hat in the center photo. She was a wonderful comedic actress, and her character in this movie made for some very special moments….This was one of Jac and my favorite movies, because it is so hilariously funny. George Cukor directed these incredible actresses in 1939. Thought the COUNTESS was used for comic relief what she says is very true, and has always stayed with me………………..LOVE LOVE ALWAYS LOVE…..I knew one day I would use this quote for something………The new PAVED STERLING SILVER RING was the perfect piece to have it engraved in.

“OUR WEDDING DAY”

……………….I don’t think Jac or I really believed this was happening. It all happened so fast we didn’t have time to think or plan……Jac’s big question was….”what will I wear”. Jac was never a wedding gown type. She had worn so many when she modeled that they didn’t hold any magic for her…………so she picked an Ivory Anne Klein jacket and a silk top with black pants…..that was much more her style….However, we did have time before we left NY to get simple gold band wedding rings….Jac is holding the red flowers Andrea, on the right, picked for her from the flower bed in front of the Bellagio Hotel…..Does that meet the requirement for something borrowed?…We could hear Jean Pierre, on the left, weeping during the whole ceremony!…..Jac and I could barely hold in the laughter….Afterwards we all went to the Needle for dinner with the revolving restaurant, and the roller coaster on the roof……It was a little touristy, but we didn’t care…..It had the best view of Las Vegas….In the following days we went to Hoover Dam and went on the tour inside the dam itself….Workers had written their names in the cement….It was very interesting….Years later they stopped the tour because of terrorism…..We also took a plane ride over the Grand Canyon and over Monument Park….I sat next to the piolet and Jac sat right behind me…..She was petrified and gripped my shoulder so tightly she left marks in my skin!….We spent a few days in Vegas and saw lots of shows….What started as a lark became our favorite trip……Later on I did get Jac a beautiful diamond wedding band, but she always wore the simple gold one……When Jac passed I put her gold band on a gold chain and I have worn it every day ever since….it never comes off.

“HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO MY SWEETHEART”

On February 3rd, 2000 Jac and I became man and wife. Today would have been our 22nd Anniversary. We got married in Las Vegas at the famous “Little White Chapel”. There were so many pictures on the wall of all the celebrities that got married there…..some twice and three times! It was strange that they would have pictures of all their spouses posted on the wall! We were married by Reverend Stone. Andrea Pfister and Jean Pierre Dupre, our best friends, were our witnesses……Actually it was their idea that we accompany them to Vegas for the international shoe show that they were showing in. It was all spur of the moment! We were having dinner in NYC and Andrea said, “come with us to Vegas and get married”….It was so random…Jac and I looked at each other and thought why not! We knew we were going to get married, but we were always so busy we never could plan for it ….so let’s do it!. Off we went. We asked the concierge for help, and he recommended a few chapels. Jac wanted Elvis to marry us, but I said if an Elvis impersonator married us I would never feel it was real….so we went with The Little White Chapel…..We bought their package!……A limo…..a video and the music on a  boom box. They also offered a bouquet, but Jac said no. She also said she wanted a black limo, but they only had white or pink. I explained to Jac that in Vegas they used black limos for funerals. So the white limo showed up in front of the Bellagio Hotel where we were staying. Andrea thought Jac should have flowers so he went into the flower bed and picked some red flowers and handed them to Jac…..It was all a little crazy….but so memorable.

“GREECE 1982”

…………….This is one of my favorite photos of Jac and me…………We were in Greece [look at the newspaper], and spent the day site seeing with Elena. First we went to the Goulandris Natural History Museum of Athens. It is owned by the Goulandris family, one of the wealthiest in Greece……Elena worked for Nikki Goulandris as her personal assistant. Nikki was a lovely older lady, and for all of her wealth was very humble. She invited us to dinner at her modest home where we met her husband. I remember Nikki, who was about 5’3″, reaching up to me and taking my face gently in her hands. She said to me…”you could be Greek”…..Elena latter told us she was flirting! How cute is that!! Next we went to the National Art Museum. There were incredible things to be seen, but I was a little surprised at the condition the museum was in. It certainly was not up to par with the standards of American, British and French Museums. It really is a shame that masses of Greece’s treasures and artifacts were stolen by the English, French and even the USA……..Next we went to the open air market, or as it is know in Athens…The Placca…..It was brutally hot, as Athens can be, but we shopped anyway!!. Elena took us to the famous tiny sandal shop that made sandals for many celebrities over the years, and there were photos of them all over the walls. There were photos of Jacqui K Onassis having sandals made. The owner, a slight older man was there. He helped Jac and I, and we bought three pair of strappy sandals each. They looked like something ancient Greeks would wear….I still have a pair in the back of my walk in closet…..We were starting to melt so Elena suggested we go for an iced drink and ice cream! PERFECT! It was just what we needed. The photo was taken by Elena at an outdoor restaurant. I think I had three iced coffees!. I just had to rest my weary head on a wonderful welcoming pillow. I remember this moment as if it were yesterday! The very best memories!
