“THE 2013 COTTON/SPAN PONTE KNIT BLAZER & PULL-ON PANT”

……………….For the 2013 Spring Linea Collection I introduced many new fabrics to the Linea Ladies. The Cotton/Span Ponte knit was just one of them. The unlined blazer { I think the front was lined?] had many seams in the front for the close to the body shape. It had DTM buttons and 1/4 inch top stitching details… It came in……BLACK…..WHITE….LIMOGES BLUE…..and NECTARINE…….The pull-on pant was avail. in BLACK, LIMOGES BLUE and WHITE………..It was great as a matching suit, or broken up to mix colors or wear with other things.

………..The NECTARINE in the Cotton Ponte knit pieces was my personal favorite…….It just looked fresh and new. It looked great mixed with black, gray and navy…..but with white it was like a delicious CREAMSICLE!!!!! The drawstring short skirt had the look of jogger pants, but as a skirt. It gave the “skirt suit look” a more CASUAL ATTITUDE!…..The skirt came in….WHITE….LIMOGES BLUE…..BLACK and NECTARINE…..perfect with the FISH PENDANT.

…………….The White Cotton Span Ponte Blazer with the Limoges Blue skirt looked so clean and sharp….With the mix of the Turquoise WK Mock Neck top it had a very European vibe. I loved mixing different blues together……Of course with the Limoges Blue and White there are a zillion other colors that would look great….starting with a clear pop of red…or lime…or orchid…or yellow….etc. etc…..That’s the fun of dressing……PLAY…..PLAY…..PLAY ……You don’t need all new clothes to create a NEW WARDROBE…….you just have to be creative mixing what you own already!

“THE SHRUG”

………………I was always trying to create what I thought would be the perfect cover up for sleeveless tops and dresses. This OPEN KNIT SHRUG…….IMHO is the closest I came to perfection. I used a BOUCLE chain yarn knitted on an open gauge so it as really open and airy, but gave you full coverage. It weighed nothing and could be carried in a tote during the day and pulled out when it got cooler, or if you went into an airconditioned room…….It was so soft and pliable that it could be worn as a scarf [photo at upper right]. Due to the yarn and type of open stitch it never wrinkled and always looked perfect no matter how you stored it away…..It was really season-less…..It came in BLACK and IVORY. You could wear it over everything! I’m showing it over a WK tank with the waist whittling rib bottom, but it worked over all kinds of dresses, and prints as well as all solids….It looked great with a tank tucked into pants or tucked into the drawstring skirt and the SHRUG…..If you have it you know what I mean! Jac took them everywhere.
