“THE CARAMEL BIG DEAL’

…………………..For the CARAMEL story the NEW STYLES in this color are the BIG DEAL CARDIGAN, and the SLEEVELESS TURTLENECK. The Super Ponte Boot Cut Pant in Caramel has also been reordered to go with the group. Since the Caramel Blazer, A343162, was reordered last season, and there are still jackets in inventory there was no reason to bring in a new solid style jacket when this is a proven style in the same Trench Coat fabric……..I think I will have to come up with a name for the TCF so I don’t have to keep referring to it as the “trench coat fabric”! Any ideas??…….Speaking of TRENCH COATS…the Caramel trench coat adds the finishing touch over all of the caramel pieces! There are only TWO TRENCHES LEFT and only in CARAMEL in a size 8 or a size 10!!! Now if this outfit at the lower and upper right, of the layered Caramel pieces, doesn’t look like thousand of dollars!!!! nothing does!!!! Coming in Oct. there will also be the new BOUCLE TWEED V-NECK JACKET in the CARAMEL and BLACK combination….BEAUTIFUL!……The cardigan looks fantastic belted for those of you who belt. Of course a lizard or croco belt would be ideal, but a beautiful calf belt, as the one above looks fantastic too. The men’s department usually has great Caramel color belts…Jac used to buy men’s belts and bring them to a shoe repair shop to have them shortened…..Caramel isn’t only a great column of color, but it’s the perfect accent to Black, Navy, Grey, Browns, Ivory, Camel, Tan, Chino, Wine, Mallard, Pine,Forest Green and Plum….just for example. There are many many more colors that look incredible with Caramel. If you love the south west you may even want to try TURQUOISE….Besides the new jewelry the Gypsy Coins necklace and earrings look perfect with Caramel, as well as so many other Linea jewelry pieces…like the BISTRO CHAIN NECKLACE & EARRING SET, and the AMBER TASSEL GRANDE…..Anything in CHOCOLATE METAL, like the GYPSY DISC NECKLACE, BRACELET & EARRING will look like a match made in heaven………….enjoy…………………….much Love………………….Louis

Thank you Louis! Of course you are absolutely right. Now if I can just stick to the plan. There are so many wonderful things you have coming up!!!

I so love and appreciate your chez Louis shows too! They really show your delight in everything, which is infectious. FYI I got the tubular ring necklaces in both metals after you showed them and they are amazing! They might be named status link. I immediately did a review of them as northwest current, which was the name of a local newspaper in DC before it closed. Since it is gone now I thought I could use the name. The necklaces are like nothing I have ever seen before. I also love the brown one ( triple strand) you are showing even though the other colors are what I am planning to purchase in the clothing–bisque, black, and plum. Do you think it will go with those colors? I have made my list over and over again and again and it is different each time. You have made it so hard to choose, and everything is fabulous! Thank you Louis!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy….the Status necklaces in silver and gold will certainly work with black plum and bisque. If you are referring to the Caramel triple strand necklace when you are saying chocolate then it will work on black the best.

Hi, Louis. As for the name for the Trench Coat Fabric, how about JacFab–Jac recommended it and Jac was fabulous! Sheila

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Shelia I think I will just use TCB, everyone will know what it is after a short while. Thanks for the idea

Oh, Louis, I loved seeing all your Ladies present your lineup especially for Fall. A true Runway show! Truthfully, your Ladies know how to present. stand, pivot, show and walk! They were, always,so finished, so professional because of you and your attention to detail. I will tell you…………what you are doing, now,is FABULOUS!!!! The videos are wonderful and you are able to give us all the details of the designs plus the closeups and all without phone calls, host chatter, interuptions, just pure Louis! Add to this your collages with even more detail and it’s a home run! I was, always, impressed years ago when you would even purchase shoes for your Ladies to wear and then the gloves and berets as well! Smashing! Who wouldn’t fall in love!

Even your blog is amazing. You treat every single one of us as Private Clients. You dress us, co-ordinate all our previous Linea with the current, answer all our questions even if they are repeats, put up with the pressure of what’s next, when is it coming, tell us more, no we don’t want to wait!!

You are so loved and appreciated by us as well as your Models……………….you are our treasure and yes, YOU are WONDERFUL! oxoxox Cat

    Louis

There are not enough words to tell you how much I love the caramel set. I love them all, of course, but I have to admit that the caramel set is my favorite. I have all of your caramel pieces and can’t wait to get these new ones home to start playing.

Oh, the things you are going to do to my credit card later this month! I’m going to need a fire extinguisher to put out the blaze! Lol.

The caramel is beautiful too and I can see wearing it with my forest green faux suede pants and I must add the chocolate grecian necklace too. I like the idea of a belt, but maybe I will put the belt on the sleeveless turtleneck and then leave the cardigan loose? I think I can pull that off better. I do need to sit down and write my list out. Hard to narrow everything down. I do miss seeing multiple models with different looks too, Louis, but this will have to do for now.

  8. Melissa W

Thanks for responding Louis about how tobacco and caramel differ. I will play with my wardrobe and figure out what works. šŸ˜Š

  9. Carol

I must have all things caramel. I’m so happy to get the sleeveless turtleneck. It’s my favorite style in wk. It makes layering so easy. I go crazy trying to layer two long sleeved wk sweaters. The sleeveless t-neck is the modern day dickie. LOL The Fez pendant looks so good with it.

Maybe something like Super Suiting for your trench coat fabric?

    Louis
Will you still be showing in October your black with silver embroidery skirt in October? I am already planning on that skirt for events. My list for your fall clothing is so long. Such fun, but so many decisions!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes, I will. I haven’t received my samples yet

  11. Melissa W

Oh my…what a rich color. I suppose the tobacco tank wonā€™t work under the caramel sweater? What color tanks do you think would work best?

    Gorgeous necklaces!!

Please tell me there are no more colors in the big deal. Youā€™re making it very hard to choose!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

You suppose correctly. the Tobacco is very gold and the caramel is very sienna……There are many colors that will work with the caramel. Starting with black, grey, navy, chocolate, pine, plum, wine, turquoise, forest green, olive, royal etc…I can keep going….Just pull out all of your tank colors and play…accessories can pull any color tank with the caramel together.

  12. Joanne C

    Hi Louis
Are the new black slim pants the same fabric as the blazer?

  13. Chris/Jazzmom

    How about calling it TCF?

  14. Enjay

Wait … Tartan?! Jean blazer?! These are a few of my favorite things!

  15. Enjay

Louis, Iā€™m beyond excited for these gorgeous pieces. I own the caramel trench, and I agree this is a very special color. Iā€™m definitely in for the cardigan and turtleneck. Which means (so far) that Iā€™m in for the plum, black, grey, and caramel! These quality knits and TCF blazers are truly core wardrobe pieces.

(My heart also beats a little faster every time you say tweed! Canā€™t wait!)

  16. designista

Trench Coat Fabric name: it’s not very imaginative, but for my records I call it “Super Gabardine” and “Super Gabardine Light”.

  17. Somersault

Oh, Louis, those new plaid boucle jackets sound amazing! I love the choice of colorways! There goes my credit card! Your Fall Presentations are, always, fabulous! oxoxox Cat

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Cat….I only wish the virus was over so I could go back to showing 5 and 6 models so you could really see everything…with only 2 models it’s 1 model per style!

  18. Seka

Louis, Thank you for describing the Boucle Tartan Jacket. I like that itā€™s on the shorter side. Both colour options sound beautiful!
And now thereā€™s an A-line Faux Suede Skirt!
My list this season is becoming endless!
    Seka.

  19. Shay

Oh my, I love the caramel; there always seems to be a bit of a gleam in the brown; I guess thatā€™s why itā€™s so appropriately named; caramel has that same gleam when you are stirring it in the pan, just when it has come into being. Speaking of names, you asked about a name for the ā€œtrench coat fabricā€- how about Jacknit? Jac was the one who suggested you make a blazer with it, and itā€™s kind of a play on ā€œjacketā€. Anyway, I thought Iā€™d submit an idea and get the creative juices flowing.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Shay it’s a cute name but it may confuse as the fabric is a woven not a knit……any other ideas?

  20. Seka

Whisper Knit joy! The Cardigan, Long Skirt and Sleeveless T-Neck are all on my List – in all colours (in multiples – not taking any chances).

Louis – thereā€™s the Boucle Tweed Jacket coming soon – Bisque/Gray and Caramel/Black.

Is there another Jacket coming later as well – you described as ā€œBoucle plaidā€¦..itā€™s primarily Pine and black, with accents of Magenta and a little fuchsia.ā€

If yes – would you please describe the style.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes Seka….it’s a classic 3 button blazer with band pockets….on the shorter side…..perfect with the A-line faux suede skirt. The plaid I would describe as a BOUCLE TARTAN. The Black, Pine, Fuchsia, Magenta combo also has a thread of Bisque and a lighter accent green I call Spearmint. It has antique brass buttons. There is also a second color combination….Scarlet Red, Navy, Pine, vivid blue, yellow and ivory…..a classic tartan. This is a jean blazer!…..fun with tees, TN, and jewel neck sweaters. A button down shirt in white, chambray. pale yellow and pink would be perfect too….a real Sat. blazer.
