……………………….The PAISLEY pieces were printed on a DOUBLE GEORGETTE, which prevented any see through, but was still light weight and airy…….The TOP was a HALF CIRCLE and was sort of a cape pattern. It had a pull through belt in the same fabric, but any belt could be substituted……It had a bateau neckline…….The PULL-ON skirt had a high low hem with a RUFFLE BOARDER!…..The photos truly don’t show the colors accurately. The combinations were TURQUOISE with BLACK………..VIBRANT RED with a VIOLET background and AMBER with a WALNUT BROWN ground……There were many Linea separates that worked with these pieces.

……………………The TURQUOISE was simple to pull together….Anything in a matching TURQUOISE, BLACK or WHITE were easy answers……….The AMBER with WALNUT just needed some neutral accessories…..A LV bag coordinated perfectly!

“THE RUSSIAN PRINT DRESS & THE KNIT SHRUG”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

…………………..As I was looking through one of my hundreds of books….I started to look at this one book on Russian Art and Textiles……”SOVIET COSTUME AND TEXTILES…1917-1945″….The painting I referenced for the print was created in 1920…..The Azure Blue combination was the original, and I added the Grey combination and the Hibiscus combination. The print was on a jersey. The dress had a scoop neck with cap sleeves….a waist seam and a gored skirt……The SHRUG was made in a jersey fabric also, and came in Hibiscus, Black and Azure Blue.

……………….By 2013 this crepe had become a signature fabric on many Linea collections…….The shaped, three pocket, fully lined blazer was detailed with The SIGNATURE LINEA METAL BUTTONS…….The BLACK…..RED….and TURQUOISE….all sold out once again.
