……………..A closer look at the Nutcrackers, and my Nutcracker pillow that matches my new Nutcracker tree skirt.

……………….This CHRISTMAS STOLLEN has been in the DUBELLE family for generations…..Jac used to bake it every Christmas morning with her mom, after a full day of kneading and rising until it was braided in currants, and left to rise for the last time overnight. When Jac’s mom moved in with us it became a DUBELLE-DELL’OLIO tradition….When Jac’s mom passed, Jac and I continued to make it ever Christmas……Now….I am keeping the tradition going by making one every Christmas morning…..It baked for 30-35 minutes and then out of the oven it came to be basted with lots of melted butter…..Once cool I dusted it with powdered sugar….or as Jac used to say….”SNOW ON THE MOUNTAIN”…….My coffee is brewing, and then I shall cut myself a BIG PIECE!…….MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERTONE!!!…….and a MERRY CHRISTMAS….to my JAC.

I can only guess that my Christmas Eve video wasn’t allowed to be played because of the Christmas music playing in the background!?….But…it can still be seen on my FACEBOOK page……

…………To all of my friends of the Jewish faith……I’d like to wish them all a Happy Hanukkah!…It’s very rare that Christmas and Hanukkah are on the same day!…..It’s a special day that we all celebrate together!!!!….Be well and be safe in the New Year!
