………………………….MALACHITE GREEN was, for me the perfect pure green…..It wasn’t too blue or too yellow……The necklace had clear malachite resin and GOLD beads…….It was very long so it could wrap around the neck several times………….Beautiful then……….beautiful now………..CLICK TO THE NEXT PAGE FOR MORE
………………….The necklace had swirled oblong resin beads mixed with smooth oblong gold beads and gold small spacer beads….It was long enough to wear long….doubled or tripled……..The BUTTON CLIP ON EARRING was an irregular elongated square with a CABOCHON CENTER RESIN BEAD. It balanced well with the necklace.
…………………….My nephew Chris and his girlfriend Danielle paid me a Birthday visit, and they helped me finally clear out my storage room!…….after 10, YEARS!! Danielle and I folded and packed up all of the clothes while Chris took the 7 racks apart. I also had Jac’s mother’s father’s Captains Bar stored there….her grandfather. It originally was on a ship and has a brass rail surrounding the top. Inside are designated places to store bottles. It’s a handsome piece, but it really didn’t work in our house, and I know Jac was worried where it would end up. I’m sure she is happy now that Chris will have it. You can see the top of the bar in the far left center picture…….It took a long time to accomplish all of this, but now it’s done and I released the storage room!…….Afterwards I was treated to a delicious Birthday lunch at the “Clam Shell”. It’s located on a marina. It was a lot of fun…..the food was delicious , and a Frozen Margarita went down easily!…..Then back to my house to unload everything! I have four huge bags of hangers alone…..I was told to bring them to Good Will……………It was a smoldering day, but there was a beautiful, though warm breeze by the water. That ended our little visit. Thank you Chris and Danielle for helping your Uncle out!!!!!
………………..I had company yesterday….Rowena from Lai Apparel and her boyfriend Chris..It was Rowena’s birthday…. It was too hot in the house to serve a meal so we went to a nice cool restaurant to eat!…..”RORY’S”, one of the oldest restaurants in Darien…………. I thought I’d serve a sweet treat with ICE TEA……so…..I made a batch of PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES using CHUNKY peanut butter……and a bag of semi sweet CHOCOLATE CHIPS…..They came out great if I say so myself!…..I love theĀ combination of peanut butter, peanuts and chocolate chips…….yummy….yummy….yummy!…..Afterwards I served an Ice Cream Oreo Cookie Birthday cake from a store called “Sweet Ashley’s”. The owner and I decided I’d been going there for 30 years!…..He said how lovely Jac was, and how she was one of the few customers he remembered and liked a lot……It was very sweet of him to remember.
