“THE INTRODUCTION”

………………….Each book had a brief introduction of what the customers would find on the following pages. I would have conversations about the clothes with the writer, and these conversations would be condensed into a few paragraphs………The books were so popular that many were stolen out of the stores and we always had to replace them. In some stores it got so bad they had to be under lock and key, and were shown to customers by the sales people!

DECEMBER .COM ESSENTIALS”

…………………………..Ten years had gone by in a flash…….For the most part they were good. By now Elaine, Rowena and I had become true friends, not just working associates……The models had become an extended part of the family , and Jac had made friendships that would last for another nine years…….I had seen many many designers come and go, and in the next ten were to see many more become part of the QVC stable only to be let go too…..The few of us that remained would look at each other and say, “well, at least we’re still here!”…….There are only three or four of those originals left……The Dec. offerings were a sweater set. A classic cardigan and tank in Red and Black……..What the New Year at QVC was to bring was uncertain.

All of the button holes were bound. The bound button hole on the 3/4 sleeve was a nice touch……These items never received air time, and were only sold on the Linea site…Now is when my photos on my blog really became important….The only problem was very few of the Linea Ladies knew about the site yet.

“OCTOBER 10 PM STYLE”

……………………For October 10 PM Style there was a Roma Ponte knit tunic and a novelty cardigan……The cardigan was in a rayon/nylon jersey knit [WK]. It had ribbed starts at the cuffs, the hem and the placket fronts. There was a row of black round beads that bordered the placket….From the placket there was a band of shirred georgette, and on top of the georgette, close to the placket was a 1/2 inch black velvet ribbon. The georgette had a raw frayed edge to give the cardigan an edgier more modern , yet vintage look. The cardigan came in Pink, Ivory and Black…….The Roma Ponte tunic had a open stand collar and a button front. It had 3/4 sleeves and slant easy entrance pockets……It came in Loden, Magenta and Sweet Potato. The beautiful faux horn buttons were dyed to match. I didn’t have any shows for Oct….just outside “hits” as they were called. These were appearances on generic multi vendor shows…like PM Style.
