……………………….The “BIG DEAL” Leather Jacket…… A343472…… will be presented on OCTOBER 10th at 9:00pm on QVC2. For QVC to even select a leather piece for the Big Deal…..is a BIG DEAL! The leather is LAMB, and is so super soft. The different qualities of leather is as long a list as the different qualities of fibers. The animals selected, the size of the leather, and the purity of the surface [no scars] all goes into the grades of leathers avail. Inexpensive leathers have painted surfaces to hide all of the imperfections…making the garments stiff, and with time the “paint” cracks. This “paint method” only covers the top and does not penetrate the skin. That is certainly not the case with my jackets. We use special dyes, and the skins are dyed in vats allowing the dyes to penetrate through the skins keeping them supple and natural. Then the skins are tumbled and treated to make them even softer. This is a time consuming process, but the more care given the higher the grade of leather.

…………………PORT……….is one of the colors I have chosen for the jacket. With all of the coordinates….the blazer coat, the new blazer, the many W Knits….sweaters,  pant, and skirt, the wing collar cotton shirt , and the Ponte pant….[have I left anything out?]……I felt the leather jacket completed the group, and provide the COLUMN OF COLOR so many of you favor. Who else at QVC, or anywhere for that matter, offers you such an extensive range of of garments and coordinating accessories, in different fabrics all in one color………The jacket is in numerical sizes for a more accurate fit. If you have purchased any Linea jacket or coat in a numerical size I would recommend choosing the same size. The collar is called a WIDE SPREAD like a man’s dress shirt collar. There is a back “half moon” stand which gives the collar a beautiful stance…..great for flipping up when it gets windy. There are five buttons down the front, and five BOUND BUTTON HOLES. They are not machine button holes, again quality….There is a TOP YOKE front and back, which with the attached shoulder pad, gives the jacket a good line………The body has a slight fit through the rib cage. It does not nip in at the waist. It glides over the body. There are princess seams that provide this gentle fit front and back. The back has a very wide panel of leather so when it is on the body the leather is the predominate feature…..The jacket for the size 4 is approximately 31 1/2 inches….We used to call this “The Car Coat Length”…The RIB KNIT….creates side panels on the jacket, and a panel on the under sleeve. There are so many advantages these knit sections provide…..mainly FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT! Of course there are inseam pockets placed on the princess seam so they are easy and comfortable access. The jacket is FULLY LINED except for the knit panels so they can stretch without the lining constricting them…….You can see in the photos how DEEP and RICH the color is….now just imagine how soft all that beautiful color is!…………………..Above, I have the jacket with the Port tunic sweater with side slits over both the WK Port pant and the WK Port skirt. When wearing the skirt you must wear the PORT TIGHTS, A343938….It is very important in keeping that column of color, or else it is broken up by a bare leg, and the effect is no long there.. QVC has a nice range of Pumps, Booties and Boots in BURGUNDY which is a nice deep shade and matches very well. Marc Fisher is the brand I usually request in this color…………The PLUM STATION GLASS BEAD necklace and earring set, J356989 is the perfect finishing touch!…..The PLUM CARNIVAL necklace, J354006, will also be a fabulous accessory for something a little more dramatic…There are many Linea necklaces from the past and more recent that will work beautifully with PORT……These are MILLION DOLLAR DESIGNER LOOKS that you will never be able to find anywhere else except LINEA……………enjoy…………………much Love………………………….Louis

……………………….Jac used to own a Dark Forest Green maxi leather coat that she got as a present from one of the designers she worked for. I must admit it was absolutely beautiful. She rarely wore it, because I think she didn’t want to hurt my feelings…even when I said to her, “why don’t you wear that beautiful green leather coat?”. She just chose something of mine…..It just hung in the upstairs closet until she gave it away. Jac would say to me, “you should do that beautiful dark forest green like my leather coat”…….I knew she loved that coat, and I felt badly that she wouldn’t wear it………………she was my girl……………….so here it is……………..Jac’s Dark Forest Green………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

There are so many colors that look incredible with DFG like all purples from lavender to jewel colors, reds, oranges, aqua to royal blue, mint to malachite green, pale pink to tea rose to hot pink….and fuchsia and magenta…caramel and port, raspberry and merlot. I can go on and on…….Above, I have chosen what has become a signature…..the column of color…..It is definitely the most slenderizing way to wear color. Fashion is moving away from all the mixes of pattern and color, and coming back to the uber sophistication of tonal column dressing………The outfit above comprises of the DFG WK TN, A72448, new this season and avail. now…..the DFG long open front cardigan, A343439, and the DFG Super Ponte pant, A268216, also avail now……….Yes, the cardigan is longer than the jacket. It’s a look that is now universally accepted. There was a time that this bothered many, but it is like anything else….your eye gets used to seeing it and you start to like the new proportion and casualness of it……The SAGE necklace, J356989, again is the perfect touch. The Teal and Plum Carnival necklaces work well to, but for something less showy, the station necklace is superb!…………………….enjoy…………..much Love………………..Louis

………………………….DEEP RICH LINEA NAVY LEATHER…..not an easy color to achieve! You don’t want it too too dark so it looks black, but you don’t want it too light either…..When it gets really cold I recommend layering with light WK sweaters. You know what they say…..”many light layers is better than a heavy one”. Each layer traps the body heat and keeps you warmer. I have chosen the mock neck tunic, A303029 worn with the short cardigan, A343031, and my Indigo jeans, A304733. All of the BLUES work perfectly with one another………To finish it off the BLUE STATION NECKLACE, J356989, which just adds enough bling when worn with jeans…………….For a dressier look, switch the jeans with my Navy WK pencil skirt, A343131, and the necessary LINEA NAVY TIGHTS, A343938………………………enjoy………………much Love………………………..Louis

………………………………How many BLACK Jackets can one woman own? That is a question you would never ask Jac. There were never enough. Her walk in closet is 90% black. Other than white, it was practically all she wore. Yes, Jac would have definitely worn the Port, and the DFG when the mood hit her, but BLACK anything was her go to. Sometimes I’d laugh when she asked if I liked a certain outfit on her or not. I’d say “Hon, it’s black, you always look great in black!”. She’d squint her eyes and look to see if I was being sarcastic or not…..The truth is….Jac always looked fantastic no matter what she put on………………..So, if you need, or better still, want a black leather topper, that’s up to you. I will say, black is always the biggest seller, the  color that is always bought the deepest…….Black takes on so many personalities. If you’re feeling casual….a tee and black jeans…….Saturday running around with friends, layer a color over the tee, like the Malachite V-neck swing sweater or the WK Black tank, keeping the look EDGIER……..A black dress, sweater and skirt for dressier occasions will be perfect…..and over the new SEQUIN PANTS, when going to a neighbors Holiday party will be just the ticket! I guess that’s why Jac wore Black so much. …………………………Achieving a BEAUTIFUL CLEAR SCARLET RED, in leather no less, is no easy task! I looked at many lab dips before I approved this beautiful color. If you ever wanted to own a red jacket, in this case Lamb Leather……..Ladies…….this is it!…………Really what’s to say….it’s SUPERB!…….Would you believe I had to argue to get approval on this color!!!!!! The mind boggles sometimes!…..All of your Scarlet Red WK pieces work perfectly!……I have the A295877, black TN with the A297627 black WK long skirt…all avail now!. I have chosen the A302014 Marc Fisher slouch black suede boot to show with this outfit….and….TWO of my RED and GOLD SEED BEAD NECKLACES, J329589……It is close to impossible to find beautiful RED jewelry. These Red glass beads are not to be missed!…………..Really…….this is an eye turning outfit that anyone would feel glamorous wearing!!!!………Now, Jac would have broken her all black code, and would have worn this into the city when we would frequently go to see a show…..Of course under it was all black!………………..enjoy……………………much Love………………..Louis
