“THE CANEEL BLUE SAFARI SHIRT & BOHO SKIRT”

……………………..Caneel Blue is another new color being introduced in the Safari Shirt with tank and the Boho skirt. It is a color I have used only twice in the past…..a jacket and an accent in a Stone/Caneel WK sweater. Everyone loved this color, and many have asked me to repeat it. It may not be exactly the Caneel of the past, but it’s very close. Again, the new Nugget Beach Glass Necklace and Earring was made to coordinate, but it goes with so much more……………….enjoy………………..much Love……………………………Louis

“THE KHAKI SAFARI SHIRT & BOHO SKIRT”

……………..Anything in the KHAKI/TAUPE range are difficult colors to achieve. They can come out too yellow and sometimes too pink…..I think this one hits the nail on the head!. Most of the pictures show the Safari shirt with the accompanying tank, and the Boho skirt…….except for the two photos at the upper left. There is a tunic and crop pant, both with chiffon borders, in a color I call “Dusk”. It is slightly deeper than the Khaki, but still tonal…They illustrate another way to mix these pieces…….Again, the Beach Glass Nugget necklace and earring set will be avail in Khaki. There are different Khaki colors, shapes and sizes, and some are clear and some frosted to give a nice variation to the pieces. You will find it blends with lots of things……Khaki is a terrific spring/summer shade transitioning right into fall and winter…….enjoy………………..much Love………………..Louis

GLORY HALLELUJAH!

I have some wonderful news I think many of you will like hearing……It’s official….my buyers have placed orders for a………TUXEDO JACKET….&…..SEQUIN PANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!They will be delivered in the 4th quarter which means Oct/Nov. for the Holidays….The Tuxedo Jacket and the Sequin Pant will be avail in BLACK ONLY…..Let’s face it….Black is going to be EVERYONE’S first choice anyway……If they do well and get reordered then we can think about a second color, but let’s not get the cart before the horse…………….I have been pushing and pushing to do the Tuxedo Jacket ever since the original ones got destroyed in the Hurricane.  I can’t remember the name of the hurricane, but it was the first to hit this area in a long time, and it hit hard!…………..As for the sequin pants does anyone remember how long ago I showed the sequin pant sample in a show??? They never bought the pant no matter how I pleaded, and told them many of you wanted it. Well it seems sequin pants are the hot item…..When were they not?????….Don’t be surprised if you see a sequin pant on another line…..it’s the HOT item!….Anyway,  I will finally have mine and I am very happy to be able to bring them to you. There will be a pant, and only a pant in the same fabric as the tuxedo to coordinate…..Now we just have to be patient…..It’s a loooooooong time until Oct.!

“HAPPY EASTER”

………………….As I post this I am at my brother’s house with his family………I chose this picture of the “Easter Egg Hunt” because it represents a full circle for me. Yes, there’s a little story behind that. Many Many years ago, before Jac and I were together, I was invited by my brother to spend Easter with them. The  single “young” uncle was invited over for the Holiday…..My sister in law Cathy had her sister Maureen over with her five sons. Cathy organized an Easter Egg hunt. Maureen’s son John was the youngest of all the children so I took him by the hand, and helped him find eggs before all of the other children found them all leaving him with none. I made sure he got his share…………..Today, we will all be going over to this young boy’s house for Easter! John and his wife Laura now have two children of their own, and an Easter Egg Hunt is planned. I will be out there helping the youngest boy find his share of eggs the Easter Bunny left for him……….I’m once again the single “old” uncle invited for the Holidays……….full circle…………Have a wonderful Easter everyone, and I hope you create new wonderful memories that will last a life time……

………..much Love…………..Louis

“Jac’s Pansies”

……………………….Pansies are one of Jac’s FAVORITE flowers….but only the ones with FACES….Jac loved the ones with the SMILING faces….Every spring before Easter Jac would plant her pansies with a little help from me…….My job would be to get the pots and  saucers out of the garage, and once planted, set the potted pansies  in their place around the brick porch, clean up and water. I would also take the pansies out of their containers and set them in the pots for Jac to plant…..”always the director” she would say…..Every year Jac would say “I’m not going to get as many flats as last year….it’s too much work!”….. Off she would go to the Garden Center. Sometimes I would go with her, but many times I would stay back and get the terracotta pots, saucers and stands out of the garage and set them up along with the potting soil. We have two garden statues that she loved, and I would put them in place….. When she would arrived home from her shopping expedition, she’d come and get me, and saw all the pots I set up. She would say, “you set up so many pots!”. Then we would go to the car, open the trunk, and take the FLATS of pansies out…….one after the other, after the other, after the other. I would joke, “I don’t think I took enough pots out!”……….and she would give me her sheepish grin……….She loved her pansies, and I didn’t care if we needed a million pots…………………………as long as Jac was HAPPY……………………I was HAPPY!
