I love black with grey, but navy gives the shirt a softer edge, and for this drapy shirt that was the “look” I was aiming for……a relaxed elegance. I think this simple bar necklace has been so successful because it SIMPLY WORKS…….Wear it with a Tee shirt, a sweat shirt, a hoodie, a Tee shirt dress, a WK sweater, a Jersey dress, a faux Shetland sweater [shown above], or anything else you can come up with. It doesn’t clash or look too much. It isn’t so minimal that why bother….it’s just enough. It draws peoples attention, and always gets stares and compliments. ……………………………The WING COLLAR SHIRT, A259103, is back and ready for ordering. For me this is the best cotton shirt I have done. Don’t get me wrong, I love the Kate shirt, and the previous cotton shirts, but the WING COLLAR works under everything, and all types of collars…..even stand collars as shown above. If you like to flip your collars, which is the proper way to wear a Wing Collar, this is your best choice. A “Wing Collar” comes from men’s dress formal shirts. They have very short back stands so you do not fold them over. The front collars “flips” automatically. Of course for those who do not “flip” the back stand can be folded over to create a very narrow stand, and doing this will keep the front collar flat. It frames the face like no other collar and doesn’t have to be adjusted all day. The wing collar shirt, for those new to Linea. is made in my custom cotton/span fabric. Why do I say custom, because this fabric is made exclusively for me every time I create a shirt in this fabric, or reorder a style in this cotton. It is a very fine twill with a minimum amount of span to give just enough stretch. If you are tired of buying white cotton shirts that are thin and cheap looking, even though they are not inexpensive……I think this will be your answer. There are no “chemicals” used in creating this fabric to prevent wrinkling so some ironing may be required. I think you should know that up front, but since the shirts in this fabric have been reordered MANY times, it doesn’t seem to be that big a problem. The fabric, handled correctly, will always look CRISP…..The shirt has a button cuff and a placket and button on the sleeve as do traditional menswear shirts. The bottom has a curved hem. Shirts worn on the outside can be more flattering with a curved hem on some body types than a straight across hem……If you are a WHITE SHIRT LOVER like many of my Linea Ladies are, you may want to own more than one, two or even three as many women already do……………White shirts can really spike a spring, summer and FALL outfit and give it a fresh spirited look……….Above, a good example of how a White Wing Collar Shirt can give a fall look a lift is the DARK UMBER FAUX SUEDE JACKET, A279526, with the DARK UMBER LINEA BODY LEGGING, A260034. I have chose some simple, but impressive accessories. The DEMI HOOP earring in CHOCOLATE, an umber calf belt and a NEW SLIDE NECKLACE due in November in time for Holiday presents. The slide necklace above is in CHOCOLATE METAL with a REAL TIGER EYE LARGE DROP!! It’s so new I do’t even have the style number yet!
