……………………………..OLIVE is the other color being offered in the JACKET and TANK in the LACE pattern…………….As you have guessed…OLIVE is a KEY color for me this fall. For those of you who have tried garments in my Olive color, some of you hesitantly, you have come to realize the shade of olive I do is not difficult o wear….That is because my olive has more brown in it than yellow……………….Though the jacket and tank shown above, looks very suited….these are pieces to mix with other things you may own. Above I have the LACE TANK shown with the olive WK short skirt and the BLACK LEATHER & KNIT JACKET, A228554….the TARRAGON leather blazer will look just as good. For those of you who have the OLIVE WK TN you are ahead of the game…..I told all of you it was going to be important…..Black will be good too… The new OLIVE or BLACK WK DRESS, A259112, and SHAWL, A259111, added to the jacket is still another alternative…..BLACK JEANS and the TN in BLACK or OLIVE, another more casual way to go……I can go on and on……BTW….there will be another WK SKIRT offered in OCT….it is longer than the PENCIL and A-LINE…..just another option to wear will all of your LINEA jackets……For me the metal of choice would be GUNMETAL or SILVER, but nothing is wrong…..it’s all up to you………………………………

……………….This is the first dress I have done in WHISPER KNIT….A259112……………The color above is………..OLIVE…………The dress is made in the ENR [Every Needle Rib] construction……It is  approx. 42 inches long for the XS….It has a V-NECK LINE, and it has a LONG SLEEVE with a wide RIBBED CUFF, approx. 6 1/2 inches. If you push them up a little you will get a nicely bloused sleeve. ….There is a ribbed mid section that is approx. 3 inches wide. This gives the dress a terrific waist shape without being too tight………………I will say….this is not a dress for everyone. I think you know whether it’s something you can wear or not. For some Spanx will be needed…just to give a smooth line. This is an any occasion dress….day or night….casual or dressy…… worn alone….with the MATCHING SHAWL, A259111 in OLIVE….or with any kind of jacket…from a classic blazer to a motor cycle or jean jacket….it just works. I would suggest a nude sheer tight, a black opaque tight…or the walnut herringbone tights….will give you many options and looks. …………………..ABOVE…………………..THE WALNUT WK DRESS, A259112………………Depending on the look you want to achieve I would recommend either, NUDE, OPAQUE WALNUT or the WALNUT HERRINGBONE TIGHTS. Around her neck is the CHOCOLATE DOUBLE STRAND BEADS, J296893. The other necklace was a trial and will not be offered. There will be another option coming. I would have used two of the Chocolate Bead necklaces, but I only had one sample when I took the photo…………….Wearing dresses is probably the simplest and easiest way to dress, and you all know the comfort of WK………………………………………………………….

…………I remember that morning well………….What a glorious Sept morning it was here on the Long Island Sound. It was the first cool crisp morning of Sept……a cloudless blue sky…..everything wonderful about the coming of fall was in the air………I was in the kitchen squeezing oranges for our morning juice. Jac was upstairs in her mother’s room getting her ready for the day. I turned on the TV and put on the morning news…..everything was normal, and the big discussion was about the beautiful weather……then, in a split second,  everything changed……It was reported a plane had flown into one of the buildings of the World Trade Towers, and at first it was thought to be a private plane. No one even thought that it might be a commercial plane. The live pictures started coming in. I ran upstairs and turned the TV on in Marianne’s room [Jac’s mother], and we watched in amazement and horror. Then Jac’s mother said another plane flew into the other building, but we thought it was a rerun of the first plane…..we were wrong…………….That is the day the world changed for all Americans…..never to be the same again. As more and more news came in and the true story was being told…I felt sicker and sicker. Then the news of two more planes, and the Pentagon was hit. My nephew James worked and continues to work in the pentagon….he was safe. We all know what happened in the days and weeks that followed. Where I live many people worked in the financial district of NY, and many worked in the towers…..they never came home. When the names of the passengers on the planes was finally released , after the families were formally notified, I found out I knew someone on the plane from Boston that hit the first tower……………..Today is the day to remember, and there will be many services in my community, but there isn’t a day that I don’t remember the plume of smoke we could see from our lawn on that glorious morning rising from the ruble of what once were two magnificent buildings…..the pride of NYC.

I only wish that the children today, like my nephews Jonathan and Peter’s two newborns, could know what it was like to grow up in the innocent 50s. Where our days were filled with hide go seek, tag, cowboys and Indians, King of the Hill………a “Dick and Jane” life………..What happened?…………..Today is another day, another time, and nothing will ever bring back those wonderful days….Today we pray and remember, and hope for a better tomorrow……………………………………..God Bless…………………………much Love………………………………Louis
