I saw “Gatsby” yesterday and re the clothes, kept thinking, “the more things change, the more they stay the same.” Long jet beads, long pearls wrapped in layers. And the gossamer fabrics in black and white prints, similar to your lotus print. Visually “gorgeous.”

Dear Andrea, even though it was a “period” film, the clothes all were designed for the film, and many by PRADA, so they are clothes you could wear today.

Feather knits look lovely! Will the gold bead necklace be available for sale? It is fabulous. I do have a question on your Anne Klein collection for years ago. I do not remember the year but the runaway show closed with a Swarkowski crystal bead dress that was spectacular! A show stopper……were you able to keep it when you left AK? Or is it part of the AK archieve?

Dear Somersault…..the GOLD BEAD necklace will be on my fall 2013 line for LINEA. It will also come in SILVER and a stunning combination of….GOLD/SILVER/GUNMETAL/CHOCOLATE…….Ah yes….the Swarovski beaded dress. No, unfortunately that dress stayed in the Anne Klein archives, but I was told they were all sold off when the company was sold, so I have no idea where any of those clothes are. It was a 26 year collection of clothing. Six of those years were designed by Anne Klein herself. Needless to say I was heartbroken when I learned what they did. I wasn’t surprised as the people in charge at AK were not the wisest…..to put it mildly. Jac was fortunate enough to not only wear it as the finally piece in the show, but she wore it to the Metropolitan Gala, and was breathtaking in it. It’s the kind of dress you could only wear once. It was $20,000 then…..all hand sewn with thousand of stones.
