Hi Louis, could you please address how the newest cross compares in size with your other multi-stone cross. I have always loved the old one and finally ordered it the other day and now I wonder if I ordered the right one!!
I know that either one will be magnificent, but would like to hear your comparison. Going to Italy the first week of Sept. and HAD to have one of them!!
Hi Nancy…………first I would say the cross you ordered is wonderful, and I know you will be very happy with it.. Everyone that owns it loves it and gets lots of compliments. There hasn’t been one time that Jac has worn it that someone hasn’t paid her a compliment. There is a big difference between the two crosses. The one you ordered has 5 baroque stones in different colors, it is double sided with the same color stones on both sides. The texture of the metal has a slight wave effect…..the look of hand made artisan. The new cross is approx. the same length from north to south and east to west…it is maybe 1/8 inch bigger than the old cross, however it is approx double the width, so the overall look is bigger. While the Byzantine cross has the 5 stones, the new cross has one large center baroque stone. The texture of the metal of the new cross has a hand hammered effect. Even through they are different, it still maintains the artisan look. The new cross is also double sided, but the stone colors are different on both sides. It will be avail in three combinations….GOLD/RED/PURPLE……GOLD/SAPPHIRE/EMERALD………..GUNMETAL/BLACK/AMBER………………….all of the crosses are the same beautiful quality and I know cross collectors will want them all.
