For anyone who may think the Caribbean may be too hot in the summer, let me say…..it’s HOTTER and more HUMID in NYC! The trade winds are always blowing and then you have the incredible water to dip into. One thing Anguilla has plenty of is GOOD RESTAURANTS, and the hotel we stay in, Cap Juluca, grows their own herbs and vegetables. There are also local growers that farm vegetables…..most islands import them. The variety of plants and flowers is outstanding, and they have nature walks with signs posted to let you know the names of each plant…………but…most of the time you could find us sitting under our umbrella reading……only moving …to move the chairs into the shade……………..what a life…….Speaking to the ladies in the office, exclaiming about the views and how beautiful everything was, they confessed that living there they don’t pay much attention…..they need two weeks in NYC’s cement jungle, and then they would really appreciate what they have!

POSTCARDS FROM ANGUILLA

Once again, we had a wonderful time in Anguilla. Every flowering plant was bursting with the color only Mother Nature can provide. We arrived in Anguilla, after landing in Saint Maarten where we were met by the hotel representatives, and headed straight for the “Fun Time” launch to take the 25 minute ride over to the island. What we love about Anguilla is there are no big airports, only small private jets land there, and there is no big harbor for the cruise ships to dock……so the island is very quiet and laid back. We had a magnificent villa with a living room, dining room, full kitchen, three terraces, a huge bedroom and bathroom and a wonderful pool…………it was paradise…….I also had my own golf cart to tool around the property………..driving on the left is tricky!………..Cap Juluca is HEAVEN on earth!
