**********************FUCHSIA………………..PEACOCK………………FLAME………………….are the color names of this amazing print…………………worthy of framing…A263353…….Tie Dye….Dip Dye and Ombres are one of the major print trends of the season…..but they have all been done before…..so….. the challenge for any designer is how to make them……FRESH and NEW………Dip dyes have been done many many times at all price levels. At the high end designers as diverse as Prada and Oscar de la Renta come to mind. The simplest and most common way is to dip one end of the fabric. A more complicated way is to have three very different colors…one at the top….one at the bottom, and one in the middle…..not an easy feat, but Prada and Oscar did it………..What I have chosen to do is something quite different, because this is a SCREEN PRINT using many different colors. The effect I wanted to achieve was the look you get when you soak a large piece of water color paper and add different color dyes at the top, bottom and center, and have the paper tilt back and forth until the colors run into one another. Believe me when I say that it’s  easier to achieve the “look” using this method than PRINTING it. To get the gradations of color is much easier on a wet piece of paper than a dry piece of cloth. The screens and the colors have to be perfect to get the best result……………I am very pleased with the way this WATER COLOR OMBRE PRINT came out…..I hope you agree…………………enjoy……………….much Love…………………….Louis

The prints we wear are as personal to us as the food we chose to eat or the furniture we choose to surround ourselves with. Yes,  it may be only clothes, but it’s the clothes we choose to wear that express who we are. So….what does this print say?…………For me it’s about a strong individual….someone with a unique taste level who isn’t conventional…….definitely someone who has their own strong opinions, and knows what is for them and what isn’t….someone who is open to  new experiences and not set in their ways…..a risk taker………..I call this my WATER COLOR PRINT……A263353 is the style number…… If you have ever taken a very wet piece of paper and put dyes at each end and then let them  run into one another……what you get is always unique….always a surprise…..nothing that can be repeated exactly as you did it before. That is what I tried to achieve with this print. A print that by the process  of  printing is very controlled, but looks totally SPONTANEOUS….the look of  “one of a kind”…. Once again, I  have chosen to print on my poly/span jersey…..not only for its’ practically, but because I knew I could achieve the desired effect, and depth of color I was looking for…………………….The body is similar,  but not exactly the same as my Ombre Medallion print. The sleeves are 3/4  length and it has a ballet neckline. I chose to use a  high /low hem, because I felt it showed the print to  its’ best effect….with the deepest colors trailing in the back. The front length is approx. 27 inches for xxs, and is approx 3 1/2 inches longer in the back……………………The color above is called…….FUCHSIA……It starts at the top with a bright fuchsia and ends in a deep eggplant with all the various shades in between…..It was inspired by the flowers I have seen all over the Caribbean. This is a very happy joyous print……… I hope you enjoy wearing it…………..much Love……………Louis

……………………………COOL WATERS………..is what comes to mind when I look at this print……water I would love to jump into. I would venture a guess that BLUES are probably the most popular colors for most people. There is something calming and relaxing about the color blue……………………..In this top the blues range from South Sea Island blue at the top, green blues to the deepest Navy at the bottom……with all shades of Peacock in between. Above, I have it shown with both my White and Navy Linea Leisure pants. If you bought the hammered link necklace in Gunmetal,  shown above before it sold out, it just happens to be the perfect touch. I am a true believer that accessories should be an impulse buy…..you see it…….you like it ……..you buy it. You may not know at the time what you will wear it with, but eventually you will  find just the right outfit, and you will be so glad you have it. There is a wonderful feeling of accomplishment when putting everything together…..piece by piece…..to create  just what you were trying to achieve…….Sometimes it’s a great surprise!

………………………..FLAME…………………..isn’t that the perfect name for this coloration. This  print, out of the three, took the most strike offs or trials before the printer got it just the way I wanted it……….FLAME RED rises from the DEEP BOYSENBERRY bottom. Ladies, this is a “Designer” print, Why so? because this is not a print that is easily achieved. It takes many “trial and errors” to finally come up with the right placement of colors, with just the right intensity…..overlapping one color upon the other to create the desired effect. If not done correctly the colors can come our muddy…..if not done correctly there is too much separation of colors creating an unwanted strong stripe effect…..Of course picking the right colors to play next to one another is the biggest challenge of all….These prints are a CHALLENGE….that is what “designers” LOVE. That is the joy in designing. For me it’s not about designing a skirt, a blouse or a pair of pants……It’s about all the elements from the fabric to the final button that makes each garment interesting………and trust me…..designing clothes at this price level is the greatest challenge of all. It’s very easy to design beautiful clothes when price is not an issue.  Of course there are a lot of ugly clothes out there that cost thousands of  dollars..go figure!?.LOL…..You may be wondering what is that pant I’m showing with this top? It is A235315, the faux washed silk pant in the BOYSENBERRY color which many of  you own. If  not it is on CLEARANCE for $27.48….now that’s a buy!…… I know when you get this top home, in any one of the three colors, you will  enjoy looking at it as much as wearing it…..and don’t be surprised if  other people stare at it  too…………………………………………………………….

…………..A265607, is the new COTTON 92%/SPAN 8% Knit top with EMBROIDERY………..You all know the fabric….it’s the same cotton knit that I have been using for many years, and it is now the staple fabric of my Linea Leisure line….I think one of the things most of the women love about this fabric is that it has some substance. This is not a thin clingy fabric that is going to show every lump and bump……On the contrary….it glides over the body and seems to smooth everything out…..Too many times I see women in these thin clingy jersey tops, and I wonder if they really have taken a good look at them selves in the mirror….especially from the back….not a good thing…..This fabric does just the opposite……. The garment has a body contour fit through the top, and then flares to an A-Line bottom. It has my signature patch pockets with the inserted band opening for easy access. The sleeves are short, and the neckline is a “V”. The length for the XXS is approx. 29 inches……so it covers the derrier, which makes it perfect for leggings……The Linea logo is subtly emb. on the pocket. It is so subtle that I had to double check to see if it was there!………Once again….I took a mind trip to Morocco for inspiration for the embroidery….which is all done in a chain stitch………The color above is simply called BLUE/TURQUOISE. I have chosen to show it with my AQUA JEANS, A252357….and why not!? I really don’t understand the hesitation so many women have about wearing a color bottom….especially with TUNICS or long tops. Must you be confined to always wearing the most basic colors? It’s really time to not only step out of that box….but CRUSH IT!…..You will have so much more fun, and I guarantee you WILL receive compliments………..For another look….wear this top with my new WHITE CROP JEAN, A265539, and either the AQUA DENIM VEST, A252356, or the AQUA DENIM JACKET, A232350…….The white vest or jean jacket will look fresh and clean as an alternative……. A pair of TURQUOISE earrings and maybe some bangles or just a watch…..like my BLUE ENAMEL watch, J277885, will complete the look……It’s always a good thing to add some emb. to your wardrobes to break up all of the solid tops you already own, and they are so much more interesting to take away on a vacation or a cruise……………………………………………………..
