QVC has scooped me again. The BEET RED ZIP FRONT HOODED CARDIGAN/JACKET, A239315, wasn’t planned to be presented until Dec. 27th, but I’m glad they have posted it early for those of you who may want to give it a try. All of the measurements are posted on the Linea site so I won’t have to repeat all of that………The WHY of  this style, and HOW I see you wearing it is what I wan to discuss …….I wanted to create a jacket/cardigan that was casual……something different…..something out of the ordinary….. that you could wear with a sweater and a pair of jeans……a legging…..a slim pant….. I call it a CARDIGAN/JACKET because it it totally unconstructed and has the comfort of a cardigan……..yet can easily be worn as a loose easy jacket. It has a DROPPED SHOULDER SEAM which adds to that casual modern look and easy fit. The silhouette is very important…..This is not a fitted garment or a baby doll shape, but it does have a definite silhouette. The shaping on the upper torso GLIDES over  it and follows the lines of the body without being tight in any way…..at the seam, which is lower than an empire seam, the garment starts to GENTLY flare out…..not too much…..not too exaggerated……just enough to give movement and to camouflage  any trouble area you may have. This is easy dressing and meant to be worn by, and flattering to, ALL BODY TYPES. Jac and I just got back from California, and this would be the perfect jacket for all of my west coast ladies, and ladies who live in the southern regions to just throw on and go…..no fuss, and it has a lot more style than any zip front ordinary hoodie. For the ladies in the more northern regions……this can easily be worn indoors, as any of my ponte knits can, but it can also be worn under a coat…..like any other unconstructed  jacket. With this jacket you have the added PROTECTION of putting the hood up and wrapping a POSH KNIT SCARF for the added protection I know you will need. The zipper starts at the very bottom and zips up to the neckline……so…..if you wanted to wear it as an easy comfortable dress or tunic with leggings or tights and BALLET FLATS or FLAT SKIMMERS…..you could……Of course boots is always another option……..For my petite ladies….before you say “it’s too long for me”…..think about the possibilities and it may just be the something new in your wardrobes that gives you some pizazz…..instead of always going with the tried and true…………you may be pleasantly surprised…………… The jacket has wonderful rounded patch pockets placed for easy and comfortable access….pockets you can SINK YOUR HANDS INTO!………This is definitely something new for my Linea Ladies and I think you will be just as surprised with it as you were with my HOODED PONTE BLAZER…which….by the way…..is being REORDERED for next fall…… If you want something FUN…..something DIFFERENT from what you already have…….I think you will really enjoy wearing this NOW…..next SPRING…..and definitely next FALL…….you may even want to swirl…..just a little…… in this jacket…….The BEET RED and the CADET BLUE POSH KNIT is a wonderful color combination…..especially with jeans!…..scroll down for more………………………………………………………………………………………………….Enjoy……………………………..much Love………………………………………Louis

I have photographed the HEATHER GREY ZIP FRONT HOODED JACKET, A239315, from all angles so you can get a good idea of exactly what this jacket looks like. You can see that due to the drop shoulder and softness of the fabric….the jackets molds to your natural shoulder line. If you wish you can always add a shoulder pad if you need it. The upper body is NOT TIGHT…….it gently follows the lines of the body and then GENTLY flares out, again following the line of the body……There is nothing exaggerated here………..it has a NATURAL FLOW and MOVEMENT………The back has a beautiful drape, and from the seam creates beautiful “Cones”…….a word used in the business to describe undulating folds……Certainly my “apples and pears” have nothing to worry about with this silhouette……. I decided to show the HEATHER GREY jacket with my BLACK WK T-NECK and SKIRT to illustrate that this jacket can also be worn for less casual outings. It is certainly work appropriate for those of you who don’t have to work in very strict traditional environments. Black tights and a beautiful pointy toe suede pump would complete the look….. This has  the look of a soft suit…..a “Designer” suit…..my simple black PONTE DRESS, with this jacket, would be perfect too… With black leggings and shoe boots you have a completely different look. It is always a pleasure during the dreary winter months to see a woman in COLOR…………..this time the color is……………..SAPPHIRE………………………….Let me be clear, because I know the question will definitely be asked….”is this LAPIS BLUE?”………………it is not………….yes, they are both bright blues, but not the same. I understand this bright blue is one of the colors of the new season. I guess I was ahead of the curve….LOL…..IMHO………..wear what you like……………………………I tempered the blue with the PEWTER POSH KNIT TANK & SCARF……on the bottom is the HEATHER GREY PONTE SLIM pant, that are sold out, but I am happy to report that they will be reordered for next fall in ALL of the colors…….It is such a simple elegant way to look…..but…..makes a HUGE STATEMENT…………..scroll down for one more………………………………..

Last but not least………………………THE PONTE KNIT ZIP FRONT HOODED JACKET…….A239315……in BLACK………..How could I possibly offer a new dramatic silhouette like this and not offer it in BLACK!………….. A WHITE TURTLE NECK, BLACK LEGGINGS or BLACK SLIM PANTS a pair of BLACK SUEDE BALLET FLATS……A HUGE BLACK TOTE,  BLACK SUNGLASSES…….and Ladies……this IS BIG CITY DRESSING. I guarantee……there isn’t a head that would not turn seeing a woman dressed like this…. walking down Madison Ave……….it’s super CHIC. I know there are those who don’t care for hoods….but …..this goes beyond JUST A HOOD…….this is about a dramatic effect, whether it is worn up or just draped down the back……….. it is a design element that works perfectly with the silhouette of the jacket………..and it’s practical too. You can’t tell me in windy Chicago, where I have been a zillion times, this hood wouldn’t be welcomed…..worn up……with a coat over it and s POSH KNIT SCARF wrapped around the neck to keep the hood snugly and warm…….. I have chosen to post the POSH KNIT SCARVES, A238530…..because ladies besides owning them yourselves……………treat your husband, son, father or who ever that special man is in your life that you would like to get something very special for. I can speak from experience…………I wear mine constantly. I have enjoyed the softness, the warmth and the fact that they aren’t bulky at all……they fit beautifully under a top coat, a blazer or a storm jacket. In the evening I wear the IVORY or BLACK, and during the day I wear the Camel, Pewter or Cadet Blue depending on what I’m wearing. The Purple Haze happens to look great with my Charcoal grey blazer too.
