……………………………The SEA GREEN and BLACK TSV PEPLUM jackets both had silver signature buttons. You can see in the middle photo to the left, the cuff turned back. I like the matching suit look, but I really like the colors mixed…………Ivory, Sea Green and Black to the lower left and Black, Ivory and Iris to the right were just two possible combinations.
………………………CORAL and NAVY is a special and exciting combination, and yet very classic…….This color Coral always reminded me of the beautiful real Coral beads that I would see in the window of one of the jewelry shoppes on the Pont de Vecchio in Florence Italy. If you have been to Florence I’m sure you know the shoppe I mean. It is near the beginning of the bridge on the left as you are walking over the bridge away from the city….The windows were always filled with all shades of the most beautiful coral jewelry……You can see very clearly the peplum in the back at the upper right. The fullness of the peplum was concentrated at the center and became less as it got closer to the side seam. From the front the peplum wasn’t seen……………This became a very successful jacket in spite of the “peplum” concerns!
………………………The Whisper Knit scoop neck sweater was the UP-SELL to the TSV Peplum jacket and coordinating pieces. It had a waist whittling ribbed hip which women began to see was very flattering. It also had very flattering elbow sleeves. It came in the Iris, Navy, Sea Green, Coral and Black………By now Whisper Knits were a staple and essential in every Linea Ladies wardrobe.
…………………First, I want to thank everyone who was concerned for my safety!……….Henri turned out to be a non event where I live. There wasn’t any wind at all…so at high tide [which was high also do to the full moon} there were NO waves to push the water on shore…..There was plenty of rain but my basement is dry…..so for me it wasn’t any worse than a rain storm. I’ve see where others got it much worst, but not in my area. There aren’t even any power shortages……….Again, thank you all for your concern……and good bye to Henri!
