………..A May Day treat………………..Beach Glass has always been a source of inspiration……………….Growing up on Long Island, the beach was my summer playground. Long Island can boast having some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The sand has a fine white grain, and the beaches themselves are long and wide. The Atlantic ocean can be as calm as a lake and as powerful as anything on Earth. It is magnificent. I started collecting beach glass early on……nothing serious……….just intrigued by the variety [if you were lucky] of sizes and colors you could find. I always wondered about each piece I found…..each piece had its’ own history. How long had it been tumbling at the ocean bottom, smoothing out the edges, giving it a cloudy, milky effect……finally to be washed ashore into my hands….Where did it come from? Was it from a sunken ship…..maybe a pirate’s ship!….The photo above has a small portion of my collection mixed with the new Beach Glass necklace…My parents migrated to Florida in the winters, and when I could visit we spent the days at the beach. My mother would say, “Lou, lets go for a walk” and off we went. Our eyes were focused on the shore line looking for beautiful shells, and beach glass. She was a collector of sorts too. We got great tans………….Beach glass always brings back wonderful memories of those times walking and talking with my wonderful mother…………………………….enjoy……………….much Love…………………………Louis

……………………….The NANTUCKET BEACH GLASS NECKLACE & EARRING SET, J335577 ,was originally done for a summer Anne Klein collection. It was part of my Anne Klein Couture line. This was the jewelry I showed on the runway, and was sold to high end department stores like Saks, Neimans and Bloomingdales. Each resin piece was molded from actual beach glass. There are a variety of shapes and shades of blue, as you would find on the beach. Notice the broken piece from a bottle top……a real find which gives the necklace an authentic look. The “glass” pieces are clustered towards the bottom half of the necklace, and the substantial gold chain is just the right proportion. The necklace closes with a ring and toggle with additional extension ring…….The necklace is surprisingly light weight……….I can say with great confidence that you will never find anything like this….anywhere. The original was created over twenty years ago, and I have never seen anything like it. It is definitely a collectors piece, a conversation piece that will garner many comments and compliments…….I can also tell you that the quantities are limited….sounds like a broken record, but I want you to know if you have any interest in this set to be vigilant. I will certainly give you a heads up when I hear something…….Expect it towards the middle to end of the month…………..To the BEACH…………………………………………..enjoy…………….much Love………………Louis

Here is an inventory update…….there are 23 Alabaster Aztec necklaces left and under 30 of the chocolate and gunmetal cuffs…..supposedly there are 7 silver left, but the Q shows they are sold out…..checking?

My manufacturer got back to me about the dress sizing. She says if you wear a size small tank then that is the size you should buy in the dress. She does not recommend sizing up. It should not be big or it will lose it’s shape.

…………………The FLORAL PRINT TOP, A290933 will be shown during one of my May shows…..the 8th or the 15th………but you don’t have to wait until then to purchase it since QVC has ALREADY posted it on the Linea site!……………..By the time May comes around I will have NOTHING to sneak peek because QVC has jumped the gun on everything! They are out sneak peeking me!!….No complaints here, because that means you will be able to purchase these items a month before they were planned……This top is a simple pullover Tee with a slight swing that glides over the body……so there is nothing to bind. The bottom is simple too…..no asymmetric or high/low hems here……just a classic straight bottom…..The short sleeve is a good length….not too short so it should please everyone. The neckline has a modest scoop. It looks cool and comfortable. Jewerly isn’t required, but the Mardi Gras [if you have it] or the BLUE COBALT or GREEN HOWLITE DROP, J333066 are just perfect…..not too much, but a nice finish!….. The top is made in my silky RAYON JERSEY, that has lots of give. It feels wonderful on the body….Isn’t that what you want your summer clothes to feel like? Smooth, silky, light and comfortable……nothing too close…..If the print looks familiar….it’s the same print that I did the boho and the new safari shirt in…………..This is a no fuss top…..a get up and go top. I know you will enjoy how easy it will be to get dressed  for whatever the day has in store for you………………..enjoy……………………..much Love…………………..Louis
