Dear Louis,
Hope all is progressing with your reconstruction efforts. While we enjoy the holiday season, and play with all the wonderful fall and holiday Linea clothing we purchased, wondered if you might have a minute or two at your convenience, to give us a tip or 3 about where the general Linea “COLOR” directions will be going moving forward from the Dec. 27, early Jan. and spring lines will go? NOT looking for Sneak Peaks, photos, etc. yet, just some broad paint brush ideas of what colors will be featured, so we can be on the lookout for accessories, etc.? If you’re way too tied up with restoration, sketches etc., or it’s just TOO EARLY … we’ll wait …
Thanks,
Cathy in PA
Hi Cathy……I am so far behind…..haven’t even taken photos yet. For spring/summer I have many many new colors and programs for on line selling…from neutrals to many many colors…..something for everyone.
Louis, I’m hoping for something emerald green! If not in the coming collections maybe later in the year? pretty please!
Funny you should say that….I have been feeling for that color too….and Malachite.
Me too, Louis – I wear my statement Malachite jewels with my Linea Spruce Green separates! The gemstone of Egyptian Royals. Your ‘new’
textured weave Boucle’ would be simply gorgeous in Emerald (Red 2) – just a thought.
Yes, yes yes! I love those greens. Actually, I also love the dark green in your textured skirt from a earlier this year. Wore it today with a pale pink cashmere sweater set and got loads of compliments.
Louis, as you know, if it is green and it is Linea, it WILL end up in my closet!!! Any and all shades of green for me!–Blinddogs
And….it’s apparently the Pantone color of the year!! 🙂
That’s funny, because I absolutely NEVER use Pantone for colors…..I may have to change my mind!
Actually, the whole spring trend collection is very pretty!
Can’t seem to post the link but sure you can find it on their their site under -fashion color trends..

Hi Louis,
Don’t even worry about photos yet 🙂 I shall tell Mr. Walter that ANY accessories I “happen” to acquire over the winter will “SURELY” match “something for everyone” LOL … and as my Linea Ladies below have said, I too just love those greens, and I collect malachite jewelry for my sister … looks like I’ll be getting her some Linea this year to go with it 🙂
Thanks for the “green” tip,
Cathy in PA
Just received the violet/black satin trimmed jacket back from my seamstress and she did a fantastic job of shortening the sleeves and putting the ruffle back into place. I did have to go up a size to achieve the semi-fitted look as per the description. She also nipped it in the center back by about a 1/4 inch for a slightly tapered look.
This is a beautiful jacket and the owner’s wife of the dry cleaners complimented me on it too.
Will the whisper knit pieces in the spring include violet and walnut. I was looking forward to coordinating them with some of the pieces that I already own
Unfortunately no one felt they were “spring” enough for a March/April group, but I will try to include them next fall.
That’s too bad, I was looking forward to the coordinating pieces. I hope we get them for next fall
HI, Louis! I also received my long-awaited black and silver long bead necklace and like others, found that the strings used to sting them on appeared to be cut. Now I am reluctant to return them for another strand as so many have had this problem. Is there any way they can be returned to the manufacturer to be corrected there? Thanks so much! Barbara
I will find out if they have any facilities to fix them in this country.
Thanks, Louis. This problem seems to be pretty widespread with this particular necklace. The alternative would be for QVC to issue a credit/partial refund to have them repaired locally.
Some of the ladies were discussing Linea withdrawal on the QVC Linea board and I got to thinking about how stellar your late-summer and Fall collection has been this year. I counted up 8 jackets I purchased from you this year and I’m loving every single one (Safari 2, Violet & teal, 2 herringbones, 2 HTC) together with the gorgeous kaftan ensembles in late summer, and the boot skirts and wrap tops in all 3 colors and SO MUCH MORE! I cannot believe that I have been wearing the wonderful black and bronze necklaces several times a week! I’m not kidding. I was just amazed at how many outfits these necklaces work with. I got both of them following your encouragement and I also love the look, as you said, of nesting both of them together. Love that gunmetal, amber, wine and gold combos. Another work horse has been the byzantine collection and I grab for one or the other of the domed stretch bracelets often!
And do I dare start counting the skirts – sunburst pleats (tarragon and black) and the drop waist pleated (black and mushroom) and 2 of the printed velvet skirts (oh so RICH and gorgeous in the brown and in the green combos) and the brown featherprint and the skirts to the kaftan tops and don’t forget the boot skirts noted above. Honestly Louis! What more could a girl want? Though I paid for these treasures, somehow I still feel in your debt for your talent, genius and knowing how to dress all size figures so brilliantly! Thanks for making me look and feel gorgeous! And wonderful holidays to both you and Jac!
Dear Louis,
Thanks for allowing us to vicariously share your vacation trip through your beautiful photos.I have been looking for a tortoise necklace for the longest, and they are all cheaply made. Can’t wait for my Linea necklace and earrings, worn as Jac did, layered and with a great pair of shades!
I ask you to please consider making something from my Linea “wish” list: a knee length black and walnut Whisper Knit skirt, made the same and with the same ease as the recent WK pants. How great would that look with matching opaque hose? I saw something very similar in last year’s holiday line from a very upscale NY label. The perfect dress up/dress down piece and just different enough from your previous WK skirts. It would look great with the WK tie front flyaway cardi that I previously requested in red and black. (hint, hint!) Thanks!
Dear Quendiva……I did have a WK short pencil skirt in Walnut, Dark Navy and Black, but they were destroyed by Super Storm Sandy. We are doing a WK program for spring but the skirt is not part of the group. Maybe next fall.
Are the colors in spring include the violet and walnut? I was looking forward to them to coordinate with the pieces that I already own.
I would love to have a short WK pencil skirt in these colors. Hopefully the Q will order them for the fall.
Hello Louis:
Can you offer a timeline on the ‘Fish’ jewelry as I will be out-of-country from late Jan. thru mid-Feb.?
Really enjoying my separates from the Fall Collection – compliments daily!
TIA
Dear Pamela……the fish pendant, earrings and fish bone bracelet are scheduled for March/April selling……..going anywhere warm?
Thanks for the info & Si’ Si’, Tomar el Sol (plan on sunning self along with Mr. Handsome) in lovely Mexico & Costa Rica – should be a nice escape from the sub-zero temps. I do look forward to Tequila below the Tropic of Capricorn; in some ways it tastes better – must be the angle of the Sun? !
Sun, Ceviche & margaritas will be so stimulating.
Sounds good to me…….I want another vacation!!
Just checked out your wonderful vaca pics – looks like a bit of paradise! Now, I’m really dreaming of that tequila ABOVE the Tropic of Capricorn…..it’s -6 deg. tonite!
Thanks for sharing.
Hi Louis,
Thank you for sharing your pictures of Cap Juluca in Anguilla, your pictures are beautiful!
I have two question’s about reorders. Is the Snap Front Quilted Jacket w/ Faux Pockets being reordered and if it is, I hope one of the colors is olive. Second question is the WK boat neck sweater from spring, returning? The original colors are navy, ivory, and red. I hope so, I have been watching (hoping for returns) in both items, so far no such luck.
Thank again for everything.
Dear Mac,
Unfortunately, neither pieces are being reordered. I will have a very nice new program of WK for spring.
Louis, Thank you, I’m looking forward to WK for spring. Mac
I’m stunned that the quilted jacket isn’t returning. That should be an Essential! I don’t understand the Q’s thinking.
Simple……too many returns…….go figure
HI, Louis– Not a question here, but just thought you might get a chuckle from my post on the Linea forum’s thread on what Linea people are wearing in December. I pointed out that Linea is even perfect for a rock concert with, in my opinion, the greatest band of all time: The Moody Blues. Here’s my comment:
“Just to show how versatile, and long-lived, Linea clothes are, I went to a Moody Blues concert last night and wore some oldie but goodie Linea– just right for watching my favorite late ’60’s band that continues to have longevity, quality, classicism and charm.
“I don’t have item numbers handy, but I’m sure some of you remember these: A multi-color suede jacket in shades of dark green, purple and cassis with zippered pockets, a vintage light purple WK crew neck sweater; and the original WK pants in dark green. I mixed it up with the Linea cassis and green pearls, multi-stranded, with an older JK Lane brooch holding the strands together and serving as a side-worn embelleshment. Added to the mix were some very vintage white mountain dark green suede ankle boots.
“I was quite comfortable, although I did remove the suede jacket as the excitement and standing ovations and wild clapping and dancing-in-place evolved.
From weddings to funerals, from dinner at a fine restaurant to a church supper, from classical symphony concerts to a rock concert with the greatest band of all time, Linea clothes will carry you through in comfort and style!”
Sounds like a great concert and I’m sure you looked GREAT!
Hi Louis and Jac,
I am so glad you are both doing ok – what a terrible ordeal Sandy has been for so many – my prayers are with you.
I wondered where you get the wonderful berets you often show on the models. I would love to have one but have not seen any as nice as the ones you show.
Also, thank you so much for your beautiful clothes – they have given me the confidence to lose weight and to age graceful and feel beautiful and sophisticated on a retiree’s budget. Your designs are truly more than just clothes – they are life enhancers.
Please take care and have a wonderful holiday season,
Victoria
Hi Victoria: Louis said he bought them in Paris and QVC won’t go for him having them for his ladies on QVC. I researched and Target has them. Good luck, I love them also.
Dear Victoria,
Toni was right in saying I did pick up some berets in Paris on my last trip, however they were made in CHINA! I pick up berets all over in local and chain stores. They really are basically alike. Whenever I see a color I likie I just add it to my collection.
Thank you Toni and Louis. I will look in Target and elsewhere. It is such a good look for fall and winter (not to mention warmth for your head).
I don’t understand QVC – why couldn’t we have the berets? Oh well – I’m just so glad that QVC has LDO and I pray they continue to be supportive.
Louis you are the best designer on the Q and elsewhere – I also loved your designs for Anne Klein.
Take care and I hope you and Jac have a wonderful holiday.
Louis, I got a chance to wear my faux fur jacket for the first time today. I loved it and received many compliments through out the day. People could not believe what I paid for the jacket given the superior quality and design. Thankyou for such a beautiful jacket. ofcourse, I will write a review on qvc
Louis, I am sad to report that I received the black beaded necklace and it is broken. It was very well packed so I can tell it was not damaged in transit. Apparently, I am not the only one who had this problem as there are many ladies posting about it on the boards. So sad to send this back as it is a beautiful necklace. I hope you can correct the problem with your manufacturer.
Hi Donna…..this really upsets me. I really liked this piece and everyone seems to like the actual beads so for something as the wrong string being used or the wrong way to package it really shouldn’t happen. I am looking into this problem.
Hi Louis,
I am a huge fan of your clothing and your jewelry. I placed an order on 11/19 for the brooch and your two new necklaces–both colors. They just arrives ten minutes ago (11/27) and I quickly opened the package. Both necklaces were broken, beads spilling out of each of the boxes and the brooch has a flaw in the large middle stone. Unfortunately, I will send everything back. I am so disappointed. Hope you are able to fix the problems with your manufacturer.
Lois
The walmut WK pants are so comfortable and go with so much.
I am wondering if any other items will be offered this year in December? I received the sequin dress and it is gorgeous. Thanks Louis for all that you do. Merry Christmas
Just wondering if Wait Listed items come from any source other than returns? From all the high praise and positive reviews on the A229709 faux fur & rib knit jacket, it seems there will be very few returns. I’m thinking I might be out of luck on the Wait List this time around.
Usually NO. It takes to long to produce am item an deliver it with in the same season. There are some exceptions like the mushroom t neck that was shown in Aug? And was reordered for Dec del. the faux trim has not been reordered and if it does get reordered, it will not be avail until next year. A return is the only way to get one at this point
Louis-
I bought your topaz blazer with seam detail and so wanted the topaz turtleneck to go with it. Will this be back in stock at QVC soon? I would so like to get it!
Love your fashions and the excellent workmanship on everything you do.
Happy Holidays,
Martha
Hi Louis,
Hope you, Jac and the babies had a wonderful Thanksgiving break!
I just received four WK turtle necks, including topaz, ivory and fucshia. Just the most enjoyable sweater I own, and I’d like to put in a bid for the Straw color in a turtle neck as well as other WK styles.
This color mixes well with other neutrals and is easily adaptable all year ’round.
It reminds me of French vanilla ice cream. I have the paisley skirt and top in straw on the way, and own the safari jacket which I wear continually.
It’s beautiful with mushroom and the caramel colors which many Linea ladies say they would like to see continued in WK. Bright Marigold, like the one that sold out in the mock neck would also be great for spring, too.
As you can see, I love the warm toned neutrals of LINEA. But I don’t think we can have too many WK colors sooooo I’d also like to see pale olive, chili pepper, navy and hot pink! I think a sleeveless turtle neck would be cool, too. And, a konger length asymmetrical hem cardi. Thanks, Louis. CIAO.
I wear your whisper knit turtlenecks a lot. After laundering them for the “umpteenth” time they look great. A jewel neck elbow sleeve style would be nice for work and under suits – more classic and dressy than turtle. Do you have any plans on expanding the whisper knit sweater collection?
Jackie
Louis,
I am so sorry to have to let you know that your new pin (in black) and your new black beads were both received damaged. The center stone in the pin came off as soon as I picked it up, and the beads fell apart–again as soon as I tried to lift them from the tissue. Both pieces would have been staples in my wardrobe. I was looking forward especially to wearing the beads with the new silver lace open cardigan (which I adore) for several holiday gatherings. Nothing like this has ever happend to me before with your jewelry. I’m sure you would want to know about this quality concern, which I never had in my previous jewelry pieces from your collection.
I will continue to be a loyal Linea lady, but will probably concentrate more on your wonderful clothing than the jewelry right now.
Thank you so much for letting us have this wonderful forum and for your wonderful work.
Dear Cheryl,
I am so sorry to hear about the quality issues you had with the pin and necklace. Imhave received very few bad comments about any of the jewelry in the past and I can assure the manufacturer stands behind every piece and if there iis a problem they will replace it. If you liked the pin and the necklace I can only suggest you have them replaced and give them another try. I,will certainly let my manufacturer about your problem.
Dear Louis,
Thanks for your reply. I was afraid to replace the pin since I was afraid I was always going to be worrying about losing a bead. I am so conflicted about the necklace since I do love the beads but was especially concerned after reading that another Linea lover had the same problem with her black beads. I think I’ll be brave and try again. They will look so wonderful with the silver lace jacket (which is a real find!) and so much else.
Dear Louis,
With regret, I decided not to ask for a replacement necklace. Apparently, I am not alone in having had trouble with this strand. I hope you will be able to address the quality issue with the manufacturer. I know you do not want your name to be associated with anything but the highest quality.
Cheryl
Family, Friends and Food…it’s one of the few days that all the weight minding rules for food go out the window and we enjoy food without guilt. Have a great turkey day and ENJOY!
Want to wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving to you, Jac and the girls.
We have a lot to be thankful for– a roof over our heads, good friends, good food and our health.
All the best,
Chris
Hello again,
I have done a bit of research for the Canadian Ladies and United States International postage costs.
In US dollars, for a normal 4 pound package box or QVC shipping bag (1.82 kilos) first class mail would be $15.95. For Priority mail (6-10 business days quoted delivery time) $29.36 and Express Mail (3 to 5 business days) $41.17. If you could squeeze item (perhaps jewelry!) into a flat rate box 8 5/8″ x 5 3/8″ x 1 5/8″ it could go Priority at $12.95.
When I ship to Canada I find from Southern California it normally takes 5 to 10 days for first class mail. If shipping first class the package can not be over 4 pounds, value has to be under $400 and can not be insured. Insurance for priority starts at $2.45.
A 6 pound (2.73 kilo) flate rate box (13 5/8″ x 11 7/8″ x 3 3/8″ (flat and long) or 11″ x 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ (more boxy) Priority mail is $32.95 or sending Express $48.99.
I have a FEDEX and UPS account but find usually the US postal service less expensive.
For those celebrating Thanksgiving, Happy Thanksgiving. We have a lot for which to be thankful. Just waking up would be a good start!
Hi Loren,
I wanted to say how very, very much I appreciate your help. It means a lot to me and other Canadian ladies. Happy Holidays and God bless you!
My e-mail : misgert@gmail.com
P.S. Happy Holidays everyone.
Dear Louis et Jac, I just received word that the stripe and sequin sweater in cobalt for my ‘French’ daughter is on its way! She’s going to be wild about it! I’m loving the elegant black coat and rich textured teal jacket and matching WK, and to serve Thanksgiving dinner, I’ve made a lush corduroy apron to wear with your mushroom feather blouse and walnut WK pant.
Mother and I use to go across Lake Worth to window shop on Worth Ave. in Palm Beach at such shops as Saks Fifth Ave. and Bonwit Teller. I never dreamed I’d be able to own such luxurious pieces like we saw and like you’re presenting! One evening she spotted Gary Cooper and took off running after him. We all three ended up running! Catching her, I asked what she planned to do with him when she caught him. As she was being jarred back to reality, he was able to slip into a side veranda, up a flight of outdoor stairs and into an apt. I was very young.
Thank you so much for the elegance you share with us!
Love the sequin striped sweaters. I am a devoted Sonia Rykiel fan. (as well as Linea as you know). I’ve gone to Paris in July for her sale for the last ten years. Your sweaters are tucked away with hers in my Rykiel drawers, when I’m not wearing them.
Hello Louis,
I just ordered the beaded necklaces and bracelets. LOVE Them, will there be matching earrings? If so, when will they be available at QVC
There were but they were another hazard of Sandy.
Love the new black and purple beads and bracelet. Can you tell me what the beads are made of? Are they glass or some other material?
I am not sure…….If some are glass or not.
Hi Louis,
Just thought you’d like to know that the new bead necklaces and bracelets are online – J273583 for the necklaces and J273584 for the bracelets.
Jane
Thanks Jane…..that’s good news. I had asked my buyer if they could be posted in time for the show. I guess they made it happen!
Being half Canadian and an avid Linea shopper with a paypal account I would like to help the Canadian or other international shoppers if possible and keep the business for Mr Dell’Olio.
You could always place your orders as usual and ship to me in southern California. I can then repackage into a smaller box (if necessary to save on postage) or not, and ship them back out to you. I sell online and have the postman or UPS or Fedex almost every weekday.
I have shipped to most countries and am familiar with the customs forms and regulations. Just a heads up email if something should be on the way would be great. Let me know and I will post my email or #.
Whatever is needed to keep our Linea line!
Dear Loren,
That is a wonderful thing you are willing to take on and I am sure the women that this effects are most grateful. You Linea Ladies are sure something else. A VERY SPECIAL GROUP………sincerely, Louis
Thanks for your kind help, Loren and Liz and Louis, for brainstorming on this forum. My email is catcatcher@shaw.ca and I look forward to working with you. Thank you ever so much!
Kate appreciating great American neighbours!
Kate said it perfectly. We’re so grateful to our American neighbours for their help and to you Louis!
I absolutely love the faux fur jacket. I ordered it to fit snug because I wanted an edgy, youthful look. I have worn it to the mall, just as you say, with the white shirt jeans and some knock out shoes. I think this is my best Linea piece and I have a lot. Thanks, Louis for finding the perfect jacket.
Dear jackie….I’m glad you got the size to give you the “look” you wanted…..it must look great!
Hi,
I am heartbroken to receive the news that QVC will no longer ship to Canada in the new year. I order Linea all the time, now that I am acquainted with your fabulous quality and style. Do you or any of the ladies have any ideas? I would love to supplement a partner’s purchases if they would send me my parcels, with me paying for the shiiping costs, of course. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Kate in Calgary, Alberta
Dear Kate ,
I am at a loss. I am so sorry to, hear about Qvc’s decision to stop shipping to Canada. Do you have any friends here that can order for you? I really don’t know, what else to suggest. Maybe some of the Linea Ladies can come up with something .
Hi Kate.I just wanted to let you know that I live in the detroit area and ship to Canada all the time.If anyone can fiqure out a system I would be happy to help.I know how disapointed I would be in this situation! I would be possible for me to ship out if Windsor ,it is only 1/2 hr from here to there.I will consult with some of my Canadian friends. Liz
Hi Liz! I would be interested if you can come up with an idea how to ship items to Canada! I’m like Kate heartbroken over QVC’s decision.
May be someone who has an eBay PayPal account can purchase from QVC and ship items to Canada? We can tell what items, colors and sizes we need, and you will let us know! We will pay through PayPal account for an item, for shipping, taxes, etc. Please, let us know.
P.S. Sorry Louis for using your web site for communications, I hope you don’t mind.
Inna (from Toronto, Canada)
Not at all…..
Hi canadian shoppers, Like Loren said, you could use bill to ship to.Just send the packages to one of us and we can repackage and ship out to Canada. Then just let you know how much the postage was.I also sell online and it would not be that much trouble.I guess we should find out how many ladies would like this assistance and set it up.
I am so in! Thank you!!!!!
Thank you so much Liz!
I think you would be the best option for me, because you are closer to Canadian border. Do you ship packages to Canada via Canada Post?
P.S. I’m so grateful to you and I can’t believe that you’re willing to offer your assistance.
Hi Inna,I just send them regular post from here.I have friends in Toronto and there is not normally a problem.once in a while things seem to take a long time to get there but they show up eventually. There is a little independant postal store in my neighborhood. They are well versed in the fastest and least expensive way to ship.I could just take your things there and they will make sure it gets to you.My email is liz62259@aol.com
Welcome back Louis, I would like to know if you have new items before the Holidays or do we wait until next season?
I will actually have quite a few new things between Christmas and New Years and then a BIG SHOW on Jan 7th
Hello Louis and Jac,So glad you survived Sandy! I purchased all of the new items and an very disapointed that you will not have a full show in Dec as well as Nov.
I was wondering if you would consider designing pants that would match the beautiful jackets that you have been presenting.Perhaps a tuxedo style pant.I do not often have an occasion to wear a skirt(I purchase them anyway LOL)however I would be more likely to wear pants with the jackets.
Thankyou again for the glamourous holiday fashions.I plan on wearing the fur jacket with animal print dress in henna for Thanksgiving.
Hello Anonymous……….The fabric used for the jacket would be too heavy for a pant, but is fine for a skirt. I showed my Black gaberdine pant with the white jacket. My black Whisper Knit also looks great with it. A tuxedo pant is always part of my presentation, but always gets passed……maybe this year I can push one through. I love them for day with a white shirt and boots.
I second the vote for a tuxedo pant. I have all your tuxedo jackets and would love a pant to go with them!
crdlb
Another vote for a tuxedo style pant. I have both the black and the magenta of your boucle tuxedo jackets and would love to have a black pant with the tuxedo detailing.
Love the striped tunic sweater!!Purchased violet and ivory. I was concerned how I would look side view (I have “lower back assets”). Look thin coming and going; side views can be tricky. Have seen many renditions of the wide striped sweater for this season and some are too short, some have stripes that make you look like you are on chain gang detail. You hit the mark. You consider everything and engineer lenghts and designs to hit the right spots. Will wear with my htcheck skirts and also sequin skirts from the past as well as pants and leggings. I am LOVING violet! So rich and compliments so many other colors. Bought sequin dress in both colors. Weigh nothing and pack in a tiny space. Love the understated design, classy. Glad you’ll are ok and getting back to normal. Thanks again, Louis you are the best.
Louis,
Glad that you and Jac are doing well. I bought the black and white tunic this morning. I wanted to know when the faux fur jacket will be presented? Also, when are you on in December?
Hi Nikki,
The sequin dress and the faux fur jacket will be on this Monday on PM Style. I am the very first two items so don’t tune in late or you will miss me!!!!Believe it or not I STILL have not gotten my date/dates and time/time I will be on in Dec. IT IS NOT AN HOUR SHOW! It is appearances on different shows and I believe it will be after Christmas, so save your QVC gift cards!
Oh I was hoping for before christmas appearance so we would get more new items and I could add to my gifts. Thanks for the quick reply. I will be saving for after christmas visit for myself as always.
“The Sequin Dress” is so pretty and love the sequin material. I would like to have a sequin jacket to dress up slacks, etc. I have your topaz jacket. Besides black, what colors would you wear with it?
Thankful you weathered the storm’s aftermath.
Thank you for saying hello to all of your Ladies this morning.:). I got to see that before I had to get going for work .
Hi Louis,
It was great to see you and Jac back on air today. I noticed how much prettier the new watch (J271864) was ‘in-person’ than what the Q photograph shows. This, being a dressier watch, is one that I would only wear directly on my skin (not on top of long-sleeves). Should I assume it has nickel (i.e. same company manufactured as previous watch)? I hope not – it’s stunning! 🙂
Susan
LOUIS ARE YOU OUT THERE COULD YOU PLEASE TELL US ABOUT THE NEW SUIT? I KNOW YOU HAVE OTHER THINGS TO THINK ABOUT BUT IM HAVING LINEA WITHDRAWAL.
Louis,
Hope you and your beautiful wife are doing well. I would like you to consider copying your berets in the colors that you have shown on HSN. I have ordered at least 20 items since discovering you in October but it hasn’t been easy. One of the reasons your ensembles are so mesmerizing is that the jewelry gloves, hats etc all blend to make it an artistic dream that cannot be found elsewhere.
All the berets I have shopped for are either too small, too large, too scratchy etc and certainly difficult to find in the orangy reds and greens you have done this season. Please please consider if not for now perhaps for next fall.
Thank you for being a fashion inspiration!!!!!
Toni Freese
Dear Toni, I would love tone able to offer berets in a variety of colors, but my buyers are not interested at this time.
Please know that the People of the Pacific NorthWest (61 deg N/149 deg W)continue to keep those who were devastated by “Sandy” in our Unbroken Circle of Prayer.
This was meant for post to ‘Home’ section of this blog – I hear ya Louis, most difficult to utilize Iphone with small keys & limited screen viewing…..hope you return to the grid soon.
The fur and sweater knit jacket is available on line. I will not be ordering it for myself as I bought a short lightweight fur jacket last year, but I did order two for gifts. I took Louis advice and wore my black sequin tank as a vest over a white silky shirt under the short fur jacket of mine…….. Fabulous, dressy by warm at the same time. If you are getting the jacket, try your tank as a vest…… it really works well…..
Dear Louis,
when will you be able to bring back the long sleeve whisper knit tunic?
Please get back to me on this, I cannot wait to order one in every color.
Hi Louis and Jac, Glad to hear you are ok. Sorry to hear about the WK collection, but as others have said they can be replaced. I know you said no sneak peeks, but I was hoping that you could list the items and their numbers for the upcoming shows. I live in Calif, so 2 of your shows are on at 3am and 5am for me. The PM style show I can see, but I just cant do the 3 & 5am shows.
Take care,
Debbie
Dear Debbie ,
I believe the new items I will be showing are already listed on the Linea QVC site. They are the sequin dress the stripe tunic sweater with the sequins, the faux fur jacket with the knit sleeves and back panel and the the textured weave jacket with the satin ruffle trin and the coordinating skirt which will be on Friday on the morning show
Thank you so much. I’m sure there are others here in Calif. that can’t see the shows but are interested in what’s being shown. I don’t believe the jacket with the satin trim and skirt are listed, but now we can be on the look out for them. They did list your pin and crystal watch this week. The picture of the pin is not the best. But I will be ordering the black pin.
Thank you again for taking the time to let us know what is coming. I hope the worst is over and now the rebuilding can begin for all effected.
“textured weave jacket with the satin ruffle trin and the coordinating skirt” … WELL, now there’s something to look forward to :))) No sign of it on Q yet … but the ladies are on the hunt LOL.
Stay safe and strong,
Cathy in PA
So relieved to here that all of you are OK. Too bad about all your storm damage and the whisperknits, but all that can be fixed. Hope you get back to some kind of normal before too long. Hugs all around.
Hi Louis and Jac,
Just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know we’re all thinking of you and wishing you well. Sure you’re up to your eyes in storm damage work; hang in there, and know you’re among friends; if there is anything we can do to help, please let us know; there’s a tremendous group of talented, smart ladies here at your beck and call 🙂
Hugs to you both,

Hi ALL,
I still don’ have cable, phones or Internet . I am trying this fr my I Phone. So much to catch up on! Can’ sneak peek or blog without Internet . Some terrible news…Sandy destroyed the entire shipment of Whisper Knits for this Nov selling. Flooded in
Warehouse…..major story! We are doing Ok. Basement has been cleaned and disinfected. A crew of 8 in two days. Fans are still going. Lost one third of my sea wall…a lot damage, but we are fine.
Dear Louis and Jac, So glad to finally hear from you. Glad you are both OK. The seawall can be replaced but YOU can’t. Get plenty of rest if you can. Don’t overdo . How are the dogs? I hope your generator is keeping you warm if you’re living in the house. Hope you get back to normal soon. Judy
Dear Louis-
I’m so sorry for the damages you have sustained as a result of the storm. I’m glad to hear you had a lot of people working on it right away. Heartbroken about the whisperknits, but so grateful you and Jac are well.
Celia
Dear Louis,
It’s SO good to hear from you! We were all wondering and worrying. The important thing is that you, Jac, and the “girls” are ok. We’ll mourn the lost whisperknits, but they can and will be replaced. You, however, are irreplaceable!
PS After hurricane Issac this past August, we had no power, cable, phones or Internet, and yes, that Iphone was a savior.
Thanks for letting us know that you, Jac, and the Girls are safe. I hope communications will be restored soon, and life will begin to return to normal for you all. In the face of devastating losses from Sandy that so many people are suffering and enduring, my disappointment about the sweaters I’d hoped to buy is pretty small in the equasion. On the positive commercial side, the beautiful new brooch and watch came up for sale today.
Glad to hear that everything is okay by you as well as can be expected. As I said– things can be replaced but people cannot.
Regards to you and Jac at this stressful time,
Chris
What a total mess for your, for your neighbors and for the whisper knits!
Glad to hear from you. Hope tonight’s storm passes you by and the rest of your sea wall holds through it all.
Hugs to you a Jac.
Sincerely
crdlb
Louis, I hope this next storm leaves you UNSCATHED. We had our share of trees down and power out up here in New England but nothing like what all of you down there endured! We know something of what you are going through. We’re heading out tonight to fill the tanks in case we get powered out again from the winds of this next storm. No generator but a good wood stove and stored water. Hang in there!
Wow, Louis … so good to hear from you and Jac. As Yvette said, you and Jac are irreplaceable; everything else will fall in place or be replaced in time. Sorry to hear about the sea wall and the WK but what good news that 2 days times 8 workers were able to do so much! Be safe and well, and keep a sharp eye out for additional damage from this new northeaster … stay out from under tree limbs. Hugs to Jac 🙂
Regards,

Oh, Louis, so glad to “hear” your voice again and that you and your family are safe and OK. You’ve been in my thoughts and prayers. God bless.
Carol
Hi Louis! Hope you and your family are safe and well! My prayers and thoughts are with you. THis is no rush but whenever you get back to blogging I am trying to figure out how to winterize a perfectlypink turtleneck, boho skirt and pink pearls. I just love it and I want to continue to wear throught the fall/winter season, any suggestions?
Emma, post it in our Linea Forum. There is lots of help there. Our prayers are with you all, Louis.
Hi Emma!
I can help a little bit. The perfectly pink boho and pink pearls are some of my FAVORITE things! I wear the PP boho with Louis’ Whisper Knit black V-neck, a wide black patent belt, jet beads in combo with the perfectly pink pearls, and long thin wool black leggings underneath it all with black short suede ankle boots. Over all this I put the new Linea knit and leather black jacket with black leather gloves. Love this look!!! I have worn the PP T-neck and the shorter black boho with the pleats and taller boots. I am sure that Louis will have even more suggestions to wear this wonderful, timeless clothing!
Roberta
Emma, I don’t have those PP pieces, but have seen them online often enough; I love Roberta’s suggestions; I’d add that ANY combination of Black Jacket, tights or leggings and boots/gloves/scarf/hat would work. I do think a deep, dark brown set of jacket and accessories would also be lovely, or if you’re lucky enough to have or find, your PP pieces would be divine with WINTER WHITE, ie: a winter white wool jacket, tights, scarf and gloves etc. … you’d look like a snow princess 🙂
Have fun playing dress up while we wait for Louis to return,

Just wanted to send out my thoughts and prayers to you, Jac, and everyone else still suffering from Hurricane Sandy. I wish for a fast recovery for all. My sister and her family are in NJ facing similiar issues.
Laura
Warm (and dry) thoughts to you and Jac as you emerge from this hard time for you. I’m among the many praying for all who have suffered in one way or another from this horrific storm.
You, Jac and the girls are in out thoughts and prayers. I hope all your wishes come true for new beginnings. tough times dont last, tough people do.
Hi Louis and Jac,
Sounds like you got it as bad as LI did!! My own home is without power since Monday and I am at a relative’s house who has power, heat, cable and internet capability.
Hopefully the estimates to be back on the grid are wrong (7-10 days) and hope it will be less time than that.
Regards,
stay safe,
Chris
Louis,
Am praying for you and Jac. You two are so special to all of us. God’s blessings to the both of you.
Louis and Jac,
Is there ANYTHING those of us who are relatively close by, with power and no storm damages can do to help you?
Regards,
Cathy in PA
All is Ok thank you
Angela says you and Jac have a mess as a result of Hurricane Sandy – I am so sorry. I am just glad to hear the two of you are OK!
Just a note to say that we are praying for you and Jac and hope that all is well. I know that all of your friends will breathe a sigh of relief when we hear from you again. Take care and know that are our thoughts are with you.
Ditto. Also glad to hear you, Jac and the pups are safe. Hoping your beautiful archives of clothing and accessories were not too badly impacted.
Julia
Dear Louis: You are quiet – you must have had to evacuate – my friends in Olde Lyme did, they returned home and the trees didn’t fall on their house but the bottom of the hill had flooded but they escaped. Houses on beach took a hit and a lot of waterfront was hit – I know you and Jac are busy, we are still praying for all of you.
Hi Louis!
So sad I can’t dress up at my current job and wear all the great clothes! A quick question on the ivory kimono cardi–how white is it? I was thinking it’d be perfect over the Greek maxis (I’ll end up with 4 by Spring) when the AC is cranked up, but only if it doesn’t appear yellow. Would you please let me know?
Hope you and your family made it through the storm safely.
Louis, are you have six new whisper knit styles (including the returning cardigan with the new A number) in November? I thought so, but some posters are writing that there will be 8 new styles. Thank you for replying while you can.
Nevermind, I see you wrote in Sneak Peak #1 that there will be 8 new styles. Thank you. We LOVE your wk.
How is your home? Do you still have electricity? We were lucky, my family in NY/LI were spared and still have electricity. Thinking of you, and wishing you and Jac and your girls well.
i will make this short. love, love, love the houndstooth outfit and the magenta lace cardigan. I am on wait list for the magenta tank – should have acted faster!
Good job with design and detail. It is what distinguishes you from others.
Hope you and your wife are safe and sound during the superstorm! Take care!!!
Dear Louis,
My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you! Hoping all will be safe!
God bless you! Inna.
Dear Louis,
I received an email this morning that 10/30 AND ALL FUTURE SHOWS are cancelled.
I’m very concerned and hope that you are okay. Your recent collections have been magnificent.
Please post a clarification
I’m not sure what they are referring to but it’s not specifically aimed at me or my shows. They just didn’t explain what they meant too clearly. I’m sure it’s all storm related.
Hi, Louis, it’s a glitch in the Q’s software. When a Judith Ripka show was cancelled a few weeks ago, they sent the same “all future shows cancelled” message to those of us who had Reminders. Of course such a message caused great alarm and rampant speculation. Apparently they have not yet fixed that glitch. Take good care in the storm. I know you are right on the Sound.
Deborah, I received the same e-mail. I believe it’s because I had signed up to receive a “Reminder” for the Linea 10/30 show. So the e-mail was just a notification that the show was cancelled… just as Louis told us earlier, due to low inventory levels.
So watch for his limited appearances in the 11/16, 6:00 am “Fashionably Early” show, the 11/17, 8:00 am Leah Williams show, and the 11/19, 7:00 pm “PM Style” show. And, of course, the lastest previews of “on-line only” items.
Louis gave us this info earlier, but I think it has disappeared off the bottom of this string again.
Louis, I just wanted to let you know that you, Jac, and “the girls” are in my thoughts and prayers as you face this storm. Wishing you all a safe passage through the worst of it – and no damage to your lovely home!
Hoping everyone will be safe during the storm! Just wanted to add, I wore my HTC jacket yesterday and received several compliments including the saleswomen at Talbots. Having nice clothes adds so much confidence, I feel like a million bucks. Thank you for your designs, quality and styling. I can put together an outfit, look and feel good in it. That’s what Linea has done for me.
Dear Louis, I hope you and Jac will be safe if the storm comes your way. There is so much hype about it you don’t know how real the danger really is, but please be extra cautious,
I’m happy to see that there will be new whisper knits, I have many of the sweaters and love them. Will there be new colors in the mock neck short sleeve sweaters? I like to wear that with the cardigan over it like a twinset. I would especially like the navy and violet to match the new cardigans. Thanks. Judy
Yes, it is coming back and the new color is navy.
