FYI… The leather jacket, scarf and blouse are “for sale”. The small and
exta small in the ruby jacket are already sold out so don’t wait until 10 am for
that color. You have to type in the number, they’re not listed under “Linea”.
    Happy shopping!!!

Hey, I just googled Norman Norell and he is from Noblesville, IN.!! We lived there for about a year and then moved about an hour south. It’s a really nice city. I think you should do a version of the kimono cocktail dress like the orange flowered one he did…it is fabulous!

  3. Nancy

Good Morning Louis, “red” here, First of all, I loved your stories of your experiences at Norell and will look forward to the continuation regarding the perfume “replacement – no longer #1” . I know this show will be a roaring success for you. I would love to buy the sequin outfit in red; however, that’s not a good color for me. It would be interesting to see that on Kate. She might be able to pull it off as her hair is a little deeper and darker than mine. I have something “similar” already in black, so that won’t be a consideration either. Would have bought the malachite immediately, but understand you can’t do every outfit in so many colors. I will have to watch QVC on my computer as our local station takes it assigned channel for their community college station. I know I will find plenty though and congratulate you in advance for a very successful show!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I think the Lapis would be gorgeous! On one of the shows of the “Good Wife”…..the character Dian was wearing a long sequin dress this exact color and it looked outrageous…..on red heads it’s fabulous.

      1. Nancy

Ha, Ha!!! I didn’t see this comment until AFTER your show this morning, but I must say, I, too, succumbed to the lapis!!! I also bought the lapis tweed jacket and the malachite solid jacket. (I had already bought the malachite v neck shirt). Interestingly, I ordered the animal print jacket in brown. I’ve had my eye on that for a long time trying to decide if I should be practical and skip it or give in and buy it. When Marybeth tried it on, it was a done deal!!!! I know I’ll wear it a lot. I’ll keep it at our desert home and it will be the perfect weight out there for winter days.

Louis, the show was perfection! Jacque was lovely in everything she wore as were all of the models. I hope QVC will listen to the viewer who expressed her opinion that they should have you on more. We all love you!

        “Red”

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Thanks so much Nancy….you are going to wear the heck out of that jacket…..perfect for the crisp cool nights.

          1. Nancy

Guess I forgot to mention that I bought the lapis SEQUIN top and skirt too because I just didn’t buy enough, I guess!!! Anyway, I love the Good Wife, but don’t remember that segment. Good reason for me to watch it again. I’ll “force” myself! I was contemplating, too, wearing the malachite jacket with the blue sequined outfit. What is your opinion – maybe with the green earrings of yours????

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

I know you are going to love the Lapis…..looks fantastic in candlelight! The segment was this year and one of the latter ones….they were all going out to some benefit and Diane was head to toe in Lapis sequins…..she looked stunning.

            2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nancy…..I’ll have to try that on my mannequin……could look great…..could look not so. I think you would have to have a green necklace too. The earrings alone wouldn’t be enough to pull it all together…..I’ll check after I get everything unpacked

      2. Chris/Jazzmom

Funny you mention ‘The Good Wife’. Many of us who watch that program, watch it not only for the plot lines but for the fashion the women wear!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

They are dressed perfectly. They must have a huge budget for clothes on that show.

  4. Debbie M.

Louis, I hear you will be on the morning show tomorrow. Do you know what items will be presented? Thank you.

  5. Ellen

Quila..I agree with you wholeheartedly! These pants are wonderful. I have them in every color including the black with all of the matching asymmetrical jackets. I wore the brown pair with the tarragon tweed jacket from last year, and the look was beautiful. Louis…please make these pants in a charcoal grey. The fit is amazing and the drape of the slim leg is perfect. Again, thanks for all you do for us. It is so appreciated.

  6. Qulia

    Louis,

I love the slim leg pants both with pockets and without. Got them in caviar and camel and the navy and brown. The asymmetrical jacket with this is amazing. I can’t wait to wear them at a conference in Minneapolis later this fall. Perfection! I think when it turns a little cooler and the ladies are wearing theirs you’ll hear a roar of rave reviews.

But I don’t know what I was thinking passing on the black. Now I’m kicking myself for skipping the black pants and black asymmetrical jacket. I know it’s early for you to know, but I thought I’d give a plug to bring the suit back. How about in olive and/or aubergine, too? And if that’s not possible, at least bring back the pants…and maybe in new colors as well as black? I can’t help myself…your clothes are like bon bons. They make me greedy. LOL!

Can I assume the WK skirts will not be reordered this year? Also, what do you mean by Jeanne?Brody length? I’m 5″2 but very long waisted (can’t wear petite pants or dresses) and the monochromatic length that I think you’re referring to is great on me; I think it’s the Brody length. I always wear tights or boots so I don’t have too little white leg showing.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

You assume correctly. It will be coming back for spring in new colors and a shorter length….I believe it’s the same length as the acrylic/wool version…….I made the Jeanne Brody remark a while ago, so I’m not sure what particular item I was talking about, maybe the sunburst pleat skirt…..it’s a mid calf skirt.

      1. Andrea

mid calf is right. with a long body and short legs monochromatic mid calf works.

  8. Becky

Oh My! Have been wearing my new cadet blue quilted vest today, and your A233856 cardigan sweater in navy buttoned up looks stunning under it! That’s the floral one that was inspired by nostalgia from a tablecloth! I wore it all summer and now will wear it all fall and winter, too 🙂 I’m wearing it open with the collar turned back. New discoveries all the time with your pieces 🙂 THANK YOU! PS I’ll try the coral sweater with the walnut vest when I get unpacked from my move!

  9. Patti ("Writer with Flair")

The tweed separates, the new leather jackets, and the sequin items are absolutely breathtaking. WOW!

I loved the Norell sequin stories. By the way, thanks for bringing the sequin separates under the %25,000 Norell price tag so mere mortals (such as myself) can afford them.

  10. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Louis, what is the length on the sequin skirt? Sequins so tastefully/beautifully done!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

22 inches for the xs….I’m not sure if the length is graded up with the size.

      1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

        Thanks Louis!!

  11. nikki

Louis, I just rec’d my raspberry vneck tunic in posh knit. WOW…. I hope you add more wonderful colors to this. I love the feel and the style. Well done. I went ahead and ordered a few more pieces to add to my collection. THankyou for such beautiful clothes. Look forward to the shows on fri

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

So glad you like it…..please don’t forget to right your comments on the Linea site.

  12. Barbara C

    Dear Louis,

I’m usually an XS, sometimes a S, but will purchase the sequin items in the S, based on your comments. If they are a little big, will alterations be a problem? Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Barbara….I think that’s a wise idea….They are very easy to alter, and it’s better you have them a little roomy….if they are…..than to have them too small, and then scramble to try and get another size. This way you are safe and you will have them in your little hands.

  13. new york karan

Can you tell us the lenght of the sequim skirt? I thought I read that it was short Thanks a lot, and have a great show.

  14. njlady

Was this the special top you were referring to? Does it have long sleeves? Any other details?

Also the gorgeotte shirt with tank – new color gray
    Is it light or dark?
    Thanks

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes it has long sleeves…..other than that my lips are SEALED!….The gray is similar to the Smoke and Pewter of the S/C and WK sweaters.

  15. Marilyn

Louis, I’m looking for a 3/4 completely unstructured jacket made of something very soft and drapey. Anything like that on you horizon? Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

That leaves a VERY BROAD INTERPRETATION!!!!Casual? Dressy?… I have a casual ponte swing type 3/4 jacket with a hood, zip front in Ponte knit at the end of Dec. It really is fabulous and very different…..that would definitely fill the requirement you have requested.

      1. Marilyn

Casual no hood no buttons or any type of embellishment. Slouchy Italian looking. Just hoping.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

No buttons-yes…..slouchy-yes…..hood-yes….sorry two out of three isn’t bad.

          1. Marilyn

Sounds good and am looking forward to it. I’m sure it’s something I will be up at midnight for. Thank you!

      2. CELA

Be still my heart. How long is it? I was hoping for one in WK but this is just fine, easy care, made of steel.

  16. njlady

So disappointed about the Tuxedo being cancelled.
You mentioned another special top coming in December. Can you give any info of something else to look forward to.
Many thanks. Looking forward to the show.
Also, I saw the assymmetrical dress on clearance. IS the assymmetrical shirt still being reordered?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

At this point I’m afraid to talk about anything until I know it’s in the QVC warehouse. The good news is….yes the asymmetric hem top has been reordered in the original black, white and turquoise plus smoke gray. I thought the grey with all white and silver accessories would look great.

  17. Jules

Hi Louis 🙂 I’m going to have to clone myself in order to wear all the whisper and posh knit sweaters I’ve ordered this season. You really hit it out of the park and speaking of home runs…I’m just sick because I only got one pair of the pull on ponte pants. I’ve had the other colors on wait list but now they not only don’t show up on your page but if you type in the item number you get the dreaded: NO LONGER AVAILABLE. My all time favorite pants were the slim fit until these and in my review of them I compared them to the whisper knits sweaters which are simple perfection. Now….to the dreaded question….Is there any hope of getting more of these pants, (pretty sure I know the answer for this season) and will they be returning in more colors in the future? I cannot tell you how much I LOVE these pants! How rare is it to get something as comfortable as yoga pants but that look so absolutely beautiful on? I will be stalking ebay in hopes of getting at least one more pair and I have to say I think these pants are even more fabulous than the slim leg ones! Please tell me they are re-ordering these. Many thanks, Jules

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jules…..these pants have done extremely well, probably the best out of any pant I have done. The existing wait list must be big enough for QVC to have taken the pant down. I don’t have any info if this pant will be a reorder candidate……I would think so but I do not have any return numbers so you never know. In the past I have thought a garment was a slam dunk for being a reorder because there was no inventory only to find out the returns were higher than acceptable. This happens quite often with my pants. I will have a very similar….if not exact pant in Ponte, in Jan……and a ponte legging with the same yoga top in late Dec. Jac has been wearing the sample and loves them. She wouldn’t wear here workout yoga pants to go out, but she would wear this new one, because of the ponts fabric….no shine like her LULU Lemon yoga pants.

      1. Jeanie

I also adore the pull on pants and hope they are re-ordered! They are so perfect for my lifestyle!!! Can’t you pull some stings? LOL… These pants should be a permanent item! Can you tell us anything else about the pants coming in January? Colors? I can’t/don’t do leggings but really love the pull on pants!

        1. Sherry

I agree that these pants should be available year round…love the fit. I’m looking forward to both the legging and the new pant. Didn’t you say that the legging “was a not so tight legging”? Either way, I’m in…

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sherry….that is correct….they are not sausage tight like a work out legging but they do follow the shape of the leg….they are more fitted than a slim pant.

            1. Sherry

Love that Jac loves them and has been wearing them…may I ask what colors please…I know you have said before, but I cannot recall.

            2. Sherry

I think I remember…the leggings will be in black, wine, graphite/grey, and walnut…right???

        2. Louis Dell'Olio

They re pretty much the exact same pant….Red [not ruby], Navy and Heather grey as the heather gray I have been using in the ponte…..same as the hooded blazer.

          1. Sherry

Yippee!!! Some more grey pants…Absolutely love the fit and attitude of the hooded blazer. I have the grey and just odered the sapphire and wine and would love to have the black if one ever comes back in stock. Love, love, love this jacket….so fits into my lifestyle.

  18. LGT

    Hi Louis,
Decisions, Decisions, as I put together my wish list for Friday; I know that I want to buy the ruby tweed blouse and gabardine pants to complete the Ruby topper outfit. I normally do not purchase blue jackets, but I really like the lapis and white tweed jacket. My questions are, will the lapis tweed jacket go with the navy pants (that I purchased) from earlier this season? If yes, what WK color would you pair with them?

Thanks for all of you time and advise,
    lgt

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear LGT…..navy pants would absolutely work with the Lapis tweed…..as would wearing indigo denim jeans. I would safely say you could wear Ivory, Navy or Lapis WK sweaters as well as Ruby……I even think the Malachite would look good accessorized properly

      1. Lilly (LGT)

thanks for the info, I can’t wait until the 18th.

  20. Kate

LDO–MAD for the v-neck Posh sweater. It’s another one of those head-scratching Linea pieces that makes one look thinner, taller, and sexy without trying too hard. Many thanks!!

  21. Jeanie

Hi Louis, I apologize if this has already been asked, but can you tell us about the quantities brought in of the leather jacket? Is this going to be very difficult to get due to limited quantities? Anything else you can tell us about the jacket?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jeannie….they never bring in large quantities of leather or suede jackets due to the price…..unless it’s a TSV, which this is not. I was asked about the fit compared to the zip front suede jacket and Jac tried them both on again in her xs size and said they fit her the same and that would be the size she would buy. She only felt the shoulder, for her, was narrow, but she has broad shoulder so she felt for the average person they were good.. Some found the suede small. I think they both fit perfectly, but if they have issues like a large bust or hip, I can understand why some would think they ran small. I do not believe they did, and since there are VERY few left, I woulds have to assume the majority felt they fit well. I was also asked about shortening the sleeve, and I said it would be a relatively easy alteration. I would just turn the sleeve under without cutting anything and top stitching across the leather only, leaving the rib knit alone leaving it the ability to stretch……This is meant to be a close to the body fit without being tight in any way.For my PLUS SIZES…please remember that the plus size jackets are fit totally separately on a plus size model, and is fit for a plus figure, not a missy figure. If you have any other questions please don’t hesitate.

      1. Jeanie

Thank you! I ordered the suede jacket from a couple of shows ago…. still waiting for (Texas) weather cool enough to wear it though. So I assume I should order the same size in the leather that I ordered the suede then? I’m dying for the red and the green.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

If you were happy with the suede fit….then absolutely order the same size.

  22. Hey great website! Does running a blog like this take a lot of work?

I’ve absolutely no understanding of programming however I
was hoping to start my own blog in the near future. Anyways,
should you have any recommendations or techniques for new
blog owners please share. I understand this is off subject however I just needed to ask.
    Kudos!

  23. Terrie

    Louis,

I am wondering if you might have a ponte knit sleeveless chemise coming down the pipeline. I would love an ivory dress to wear with my navy and coral ponte peplum jackets. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed!

  24. Beano

I am checking in daily with QVC on the mufflers. You did say they would be posted this week. I’ve ordered the Posh sweaters and I’d like to get a matching muffler before they are sold out.

  25. debby

Are the jet and onyx necklaces available this week -would love to preorder _what are the style no? Cant wait for you show Thanks Debby

    1. debby

The saying Men make plans.. is an old Yiddish one!

  26. Waterbaby

    Hi, Louis:
Do you have an item number for the lapis, ruby and black pants? I’ve looked at previous posts but can’t seem to find it if it was posted before. Many thanks for your time.

    Blessings, Fran

  27. debby

Hi can,t wait for the show! Will the onyx and jet necklaces be featured this week- if so what are their order no. so that I can pre order an not miss out!!! Thanks Debby

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No…I have no clue when they will be avail. You ladies usually know before me….LOL

  28. LauraL

    Hi Louis,

Would you wear the new tweed blouse with last years black and ivory hounds tooth or would that not look right?

Is the jacket to overwhelming for us petites? I found this years tweed jackets overwhelming with the shoulder pads/length so am wary of these although they are beautiful. Last years worked well but I think that was because it was shorter. Anyway of getting QVC to do petite jackets?

Was planning on the tweed blouse/skirt combo as opposed to the jacket/skirt but having a tough time choosing the ruby or the black. Definitely planning on getting the ruby pants.

Can’t wait to see the rest of the sneak peaks and of course the show on DVR – won’t be home from Germany in time to see it live so will need to make my decisions based on the sneak peaks.

Thanks for all that you do.

    Laura

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Laura……I love the new tweed blouse with the Hounds tooth check! I was getting the skirt to put with the ivory Silk and Cashmere cardigan and looked at it with the tweed. I not only love it with the hounds tooth skirt I love the tweed jacket with the hounds tooth skirt. When you say petite how tall are you? If you are very petite this jacket may not be for you….However, there is a large space between the pocket and the hem so it can be shortened quite a bit. If you have any reservations….don’t get it. The skirt would be great for you, because it is on the short side and looks great with the tweed blouse…..you can always wear them with a cardigan like the WK or the Silk/ Cash…or one of the seamed jackets in a color…Malachite…..Fuchsia….Topaz….or Violet would all look great with the black and ivory…..and you must already have solid black jackets that will work……Petite jackets ….they don’t have the budget to order another whole size range in a petite.

      1. LauraL

        Hi

I am 5’0″ and am all legs (inseam 29) so very short waisted. I will look closely at the “click here” measurements for the jacket but will likely stay with the tweed blouse look with the skirts. Since I already have the houndsgtooth in black and ivory I may go with ruby and ivory skirt and both tweed blouses and the shawl in B&I for when I go with a solid color on top.

        Thanks for the help.

        Laura

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I think your choice is best. At your height this is not the jacket for you, but I’m sure the other pieces will work.

  29. Renee

    Dear Louis:
Could I were the new Ruby & Lapis tweed shawl with my Ruby & Lapis
    topper coat?
    Thank you Renee in Cleveland

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes….why not…..all you need to wear a shawl like this is swagger and attitude.I do want to add that for some it may be too much.

  30. Irma

Hi, Louis! Wow! The tweed pieces are fabulous!! Here we go again with my bank account…. I know for sure I will be getting the entire suite in black and will want the jacket in the lapis. Will Lapis pants be available as well this go-around? I hope so. I cannot justify a second skirt this go-around, so I won’t be getting the lapis skirt, but I desperately want lapis pants. Please let me know. Thanks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Hello Irma….there will be Lapis pants, but fair warning….there aren’t a great deal of them so as soon as you see them posted, if you really want them, place your order. They do not come in petites if you are interested and the fabric is like my poly rayon gab that I have used in the past, and is lighter in weight than the caviar, camel pant. This type of fabric is better for a wider leg.

  31. liz

Hi Louis, Can you tell us more about the tuxedo.Colors.style and will there be a blouse? I am planning on this one for New Years Eve! thanks

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Black only…there will be a matching pant with a satin tuxedo stripe down the leg. The fabric is the same as the asymmetrical zip jacket and slim pant in the caviar, camel and black, so the tailoring on the jacket is superb! It has a satin lapel…..three satin covered buttons and flap pockets with satin besson piping. The jacket has a slight cutaway front. I do not have any specific blouse for the jacket, but I will be showing it with the sequin top in black as a sneak peek.

      1. Sherry

Any chance of pants in petite?

      2. Donna

Louis, will the tuxedo pant be slim leg or wider? thnx

  32. Sherry

Afternoon Louis, is this the show, on the 18th, that has a black leather jacket?

  33. Bcm aka 1Jac

    Hi Louis,
I had a few questions for you. I have been on waitlist for the gunmetal/root beer necklace longer than the usual 45 day period. Q notified me that they are trying to get more stock in this necklace. Does that mean that your manufacturer will be sending additional stock? I don’t think this necklace had a high rate of returns. Secondly,I am planning to order the graphite long cardigan ( A237552) and the knit skirt in steel gray(A09484). I hope these coordinate nicely. My question is are (A214116) the button front shirt in the new color grey and (A235311)short sleeve scoop nk in the putty (which I own)good choices to wear with the cardi and pencil skirt? Thanks. Finally, I just wanted to comment on your response to Kate about proper sizing for the new PK collection. I was touched/impressed how you had Jac try on all these pieces to give Kate an idea as to correct sizing. You truly go over and above to accommodate your fans. We truly, truly appreciate it. You are a rock star and we are your groupies!!!

    1. Sherry

Me too on the necklace. I also received the same notice on the pewter WK tank, saying they were trying to acquire additional stock.

        1. Sherry

Awesome, when I put the pewter WK tank on waitlist, I really never expected to receive it. Great news.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bcm….I have to look into this……..I have no knowledge of any reorders being placed for additional root beer necklaces. I don’t know why they gave you this erroneous information….sorry for the disappointment. It doesn’t seem to me that anyone is returning their necklaces as they have been sold out for a long time. I did notice there is one in green which must be a return, so you never know. But I know of no reorders.

    3. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bcm…sorry for the delay in answering the second part of your question. First the PUTTY tweed t-shirt and the new grey Kate cotton shirt look great with the cardigan. Do not order the pencil skirt to go with the cardigan if that’s your only purpose for it. The grays do not work together at all.

      1. Bcm

Thank you for the advice on the grey pencil skirt. I was going to purchase it for the cardigan. However, I do own the black and the navy knit pencil skirts. Will they coordinate with the graphite cardigan? Thanks again.( I am still hoping for good news from your vendor on the rootbeer necklace.)

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bcm….Black and navy are perfect with the gray…..fingers crossed with the necklace but honestly *I do not have high hopes. I would have been notified if the necklace was reordered.

          1. Sherry

So, the Q is just giving the order more time for a return before cancelling…Maybe we’re the next ones up for a returned piece and they wanted to see if more are returned…I sure hope that’s the case. I really would like to get my necklace that I ordered before they were sold out that they gave to someone else and then put me on backorder. The same day I saw the backorder show up I put a second necklace on waitlist…good thing because the backordered piece was cancelled a month ago after only waiting 2 weeks for a return. At least I still have a chance. One thing I don’t understand is that the necklaces are still on waitlist to order…where are those pieces coming from???

  34. Renee

    Dear Louis:
When you were on am style you said you would be back on October 28 at 10 am my Q magazine has you on October 18 at 10am I don’t want to miss any
of your shows. Because I am 100% Linea I can not wait for this show!!!!
    Thank you Renee in Cleveland

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

OH GEESE….did I say the 28th of OCT!???? NEVER EVER NEVER EVEREVEREVER listen to me when numbers are concerned….they have been my enemy my whole life!!! The date is the 18th….next week Friday at 10 am with Mary Beth….two hours….sorry for any confusion!

  35. Diamondscribe

Louis, the textured knit V-neck top, A238543, has been posted online. Is there a chance we can get a peak of this…or a verbal description? All Q writes is “Cozy up to cooler weather in this textured knit top. The overall look is decidedly classic thanks to a V-neckline and long sleeves.”: That doesn’t tell me much. I can always get a good mental picture from your descriptions. Thanks, Deb

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Wow…they are posting things from the Oct group really early….first the asymmetrical dress and now the top. I am leaving for QVC tomorrow for a meeting and my Sat. Morning presentation of the silk cashmere sweater, so I will post it late on Sat or Sun.

      1. Diamondscribe

Thank you for posting photos so quickly. Great top for here in Florida. Ordered two colors and may go back for third after I see how much of my budget needs to go toward the nubby herringbone group and the gab trousers. Deb

      2. Kristen/spagal

That top is absolutely beautiful! Can’t wait to get the ruby for all my Holiday occasions

  36. Elissa , MN

Can you please tell me if you will do a reorder on the Lapis Boucle Topper in SMALL (A237559) and Lapis Turtlenecks? I am sick that I missed that show and ADORE the column of one color.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I doubt the topper will be reordered since it only sold in small sizes. The Lapis TN has a better chance, but not until next year

      1. Elissa , MN

        Thank you for the reply.

  37. Ellen

Hi Louis..today I wore the new slim leg brown pants, last years’s tobacco ribbed whisper knit tank and last year’s tarragon tweed jacket. I have the walnut one as well, but the tarragon worked wonderfully with the brown pants. What a combo! Just wanted to say that these slim leg pants are absolutely wonderful. I have all 5 pairs..got them to match all of the asymmetrical suit jackets, and I also bought the blue slim legs from your last show. Please, please, please…keep the slim leg, petite pants coming. I also lucked out and got a great pair of short Vince Camuto boots in a camely-brown.

Now, do you have influence with QVC about when we can expect those adorable mufflers to appear on their website. I am in for the purple haze, the camel and the ivory. I hope there are enough to go around. Thanks again for making your ladies rock out.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Hopefully by the weekend, but I’m not sure. They are here and they all passed QA…..so I’m hoping soon

  38. Cheri

Dear Louis, Maybe this question has already been answered and I missed it, but will there be any pants/trousers in the October show? Thank you for all that you for us your clothing is absolutely beautiful and timeless.

      1. Waterbaby

        Hi, Louis!
Just waiting to receive my ivory posh knit cardi and tank. Waiting for the muffler to be posted!

Question about these pants… Will they be offered in petite? Is the leg wider than the slim but is it as wide as previous ivory and black pants from earlier this year? I agree with other posters in my love for the slim leg. Thanks for your time and reply 🙂

        Blessings, Fran

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Fran the bottom opening measures 10 inches as opposed to the slim leg which is 7 inches. It will not be offered in a petite length…..of course the more you shorten them the leg will become slightly more narrow. If you want to, any tailor can take the leg in without too much trouble. It’s actually an easy alteration.

          1. Waterbaby

Thanks so much, Louis. Very helpful. I will keep an eye out for these, worth getting altered. Bless you!

  39. md891

Hi Louis…just a quick question…I ordered the A237552 ENR long cardigan in lilac and would like to know if the new Posh Knit tank in Purple Haze will match for color layered under? From the online pics I am thinking no but would love your advice. Also…any chance we could get the safari jacket A227581 and pants in white or tan or maybe even sienna? Thanks Louis, love you and all your creations!! Maria

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The purple haze does not work…..it is too red compared to the lilac

  40. Kate

Good Morning! Up and ready to order the Posh v-neck but have a question. The XS chest is running about 1.5 inches smaller than the comparable Whisper Knit v-neck. That’s not a lot of difference, but I’m wondering if you (or maybe even Jac) could give us an opinion regarding whether staying with our usual size, or go up one for a bit of ease? I’m usually wrong when I second guess myself and order up. I know you don’t like to give fit advice because without seeing someone’s particular shape it’s difficult to do, but thoughts are welcome!

    1. Kate

Sorry, meant to type a 2 inch difference.

      1. Carol

Also, it’s a little hard to see how the sweater is made. Does this one have a knitted off ribbing at the bottom edge rather than a hem? The sweep measurements seem very small.

        crdlb

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Hold off ordering….Jac will try on my xs sample today….we are both off to the gym

      1. Cathy in PA

Thanks in advance to you AND Jac … MUCH appreciated!

        1. Cathy in PA

I’d also love to know if there’s a ribbed bottom edge to both the V Neck and the Elbow Sleeve Mock Neck if possible. THANKS!

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes they both have rib bottoms….the tank and the jewel [ballet neck ] do not they have tubular starts.

    3. Louis Dell'Olio

Okay Kate……… here’s the LOW DOWN……Jac tried on all the sweaters. First….she is an xs in all of the WK sweaters and sometimes….like the sleeveless mock neck and the tank an xxs. She is a 34A and a 35 inch hip. The PK tank she would take in the xxs but she thinks the xs will be Okay for you, because you are a little larger than she is. The V-neck in the xs fit her perfectly, but she would not layer anything under it or else she would get the sm….so we both think the sm is the way you should go…..the same story for the classic PK jewel neck. She would wear the xs, but she thinks you might prefer the sm. They are stretchy but, you don’t want them to stretch too much. Jac thought the xs in the cardigan was fine but she is going to buy the sm for a little more room…….I hope this answers your questions…..I think all of the Posh Knits will be posted before my “hit” this Sat. on the Leah Williams 8am show. I will be showing the Posh Knit cardigan.

      1. Kate

Perfect and many thanks to Jac. (Thanks for the “a little larger”!!)

  41. CC

Judy & Julie, I keep a handy tube of liquid stitch for items that need just a spot of help. One the occassion when i have removed a tag and had an oops, a tiny dab of liquid stich is the perfect answer;)

    1. Judy

I don’t know what that is, but I am going to head over to Amazon.com right away and find out! Thanks!

    2. julie

Thanks for the tip CC! I’ve never heard of it but sounds like something that would be great to have on hand:) It’s SO much more comfortable wearing tagless clothes!

  42. Judy

Hey, Louis! Happy October! I can’t wait to wear my new fall LDO selections! (camel suit + posh Tneck), T&C blazer, slim pants, new WK, etc, etc.
However, as I was sitting down earlier today, painstakingly plucking out the very tight stitches keeping the label at the neck sewn to my new charcoal hooded blazer (great with a Burberry scarf, white Kate shirt, and skinny light gray jeans), I began to wonder why, if you always have trouble getting the buttons sewn on tightly enough, must the labels be sewn in SO tightly? I am someone who really dislikes the feel of the edges of tags and labels against my skin, so I remove them all. I’m probably an extreme case, but I think lots of consumers would welcome tags that are easier to remove from a garment. Wouldn’t it also save money in the manufacturing process to more lightly tack the labels to the neck and waist of a garment, rather than bonding them for life? Currently, things like scarves and reversible tops have such labels. Most of my beloved WK Tnecks are mended at the back of the neck b/c I had such a hard time removing the labels and ended up with tiny holes. LOL! That doesn’t stop me from wearing them, of course! Thanks for listening to my whinging!

    1. julie

I do the exact same thing! I have some really sharp manicure scissors for the job. I also remove the side tags. Loosely sewn tags would be fabulous!

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Judy…..I think the way tags are sewn into garments is a QVC requirement…….tacked in tags are only allowed for certain garments

      1. Judy

Oh, well, it was worth a try! 🙂

  43. Patti ("Writer with Flair")

    Dear Louis,

I love the hop sack fabric you used in the Button Front Jacket with Pocket Detail (A233851) and the Fly Front Pants (A233852). Could you ever do a classic, longer length (covers the hips) navy blazer with quality gold buttons in this fabric? Some matching pants and one of your great skirts also would be great.

I used to have four skirted suits (navy, camel, gray, and bone) in a wool hop sack fabric that I wore and wore. I particularly got a lot of use out of the navy jacket. It seemed to go with everything and made me look sharp and well-dressed whenever I wore it. Of course, back then, I had to have the woolen fabric dry cleaned. Your new hop sack fabric is wonderfully easy care and wrinkle-resistant. I just love it!

Also, it would be terrific to have some wrinkle-free oxford shirts (blue and white solids and a crisp blue and white stripe). LL Bean’s and Foxcroft’s quality has really gone down in the shirt-making department in recent years. I know if YOU made a wrinkle-free oxford shirt that it would be a quality, investment garment.

Thanks for anything you can do.

  44. Jeanie

Good morning Louis! I wanted to let you know that I absolutely love the faux wrap WK sweater! I love that we can adjust the neckline since the Q frowns upon anything that shows any cleavage. Would it be possible to something in the same neckline for spring/summer? Maybe a sleeveless faux wrap in WK? I would wear these tops every day if I could! It finally got cool enough here in Texas to be able to wear one (wore the fuchsia with my black pull-on ponte pants and zip up jacket to run to the gro store) and I felt like a million bucks! I also wanted to let you know that I would love more of the pull-on ponte pants that are the same color as the ponte tunic with the ballet neckline (the one just like the pebble crepe tunic). I bought this top in the black, the walnut, and the wine, but (being shorter) find that mixing and matching this top (I wore the wine with the black pants) was not nearly as slenderizing as the mono-color outfit. Sadly, the longer V-neck ponte tunic is too long to be flattering on my 5′ 3″ frame, but the shorter one is da bomb! And I’d love to see it come back (with matching pull-on pants) in more colors (camel, charcoal, forest green, etc.). These are just the perfect “hanging out” clothes! Thank you so much for all of the GORGEOUS items you’ve brought to us this fall! Now, if we can just get some cooler weather so I can wear some of them!!!

  45. Mary Kellogg

Louis, I want to put in a request for STRIPED Whisper Knit sweaters! Wouldn’t that just be perfect? Navy & white, black & white and red & white.

      1. Yvette

        Woo hoo!!

        1. Kristen/spagal

          Wow! Perfect!

  46. Kate

Good Morning! I bought A87445 on the web (dates back to 2009, so this must have been a sample?) and it is the perfect LBD for wearing under jackets, with cardigans, or just by itself on a summery day. Awesome foil for jewelry. Would you consider doing something like this for us in the future?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Morning….Tank dresses are always on the drawing board…..they don’t always get selected. I may have one coming in June, but in a very special fabric…..it hasn’t been ordered yet…..fingers crossed.

  47. Nomy

Dear Louis, Love the asymmetrical dress. Will this fit a long waisted figure type? The A226257 Herringbone jacket in XL fits me like it was custom made. I sometimes have to size up to get a little more length, I am 5’9″ and then take in where needed. Looks like this dress just skims the body. The perfect little go anywhere dress.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nomy…..the dress does skim the body. It does not have a nipped in waist. Jac is 5′ 10″ and it is fine on her, however she is not long waisted. I would guess that this dress should be fine.

      1. Nomy

Thank you Louis I will give it a try.

  48. DeLois

Louis, would you please clarify the new dress length. Will the shortest part still be below the knee and is the long dip just in the front or is the back uneven as well? It is somewhat difficult to determine from the picture. Can the dress be evened out in the hem in the future and still be a nice below the knee length?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The dip is only in the front….whether it is knee length or below will depend on how tall you are, and it can be evened out, but you will still have a flare in the front over one leg. That flare can also be taken in if you just want an A-Line dress.

  49. Pamela

    Dear Louis:

Do you have a scheduled appearance before your 2 hour show Oct.18th?

    TIA

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I will be on Oct. 12th at 8am. That’s the Sat show with Leah Williams. I will be showing the Posh Knit Cardigan.

      1. Pamela

Glad it’s a Sat. – I’ll set the alarm. Plan to add more of the Camel to my collection. Love wearing Camel with Winter White come Dec./Jan. – with lots of Gold jewelry for Tres Chic! It’s a simple tonal look that I love for my Winter Wonderland surrounded by Sun Dogs & the Aurora Borealis.

See you soon. Thanks for everything. Happy to be a Linea Lady.

p.s. Wonderful that you’ve been given more 2 hours shows & better SHOW TIMES!
        Hi to your lovely Jac!

        1. Pamela

Oh – BTW – Sun Dogs are an occurrence in Nature created by light refraction of an ornate object as when the sun light hits – a rainbow of color shoots upward! Happens ever Winter in extreme cold snaps. Only in Alaska!!

  50. Nomy

Dear Louis, I received the links for my Panther watches in todays mail. So kind of you to do that , I can’t thank you enough. Nomy

      1. Nomy

Yes I have the gold and the silver and they are now a great fit. I had to have a lot of my bracelets made larger after I took up trap shooting and sporting clays. All from raising and lowering a 11 pound double barrel shot gun. My husband and I have been doing this for about 20 years. It is great fun and we shoot in all kinds of weather. Your other watches have fit just fine this one was tight and left marks and pinched a bit. Thank you again for your kindness and I am a very happy camper. I also love everything you have designed this season. The town and country look is my favorite and I think I ordered just about everything this time around. The fabrics and colors have been outstanding . Thankyou, thankyou. Nomy
        .

  51. Beano

The new dress, A238536 is posted on the Linea site but cannot be ordered. ?.
    I’ll try again tomorrow.

  52. Nancy

HI LOUIS, COULD YOU POST A PHOTO OF NEW PONTE KNIT ASYMMETRIC HEM DRESS THAT WAS JUST LISTED?

      1. Nancy

Quick question Louis. First of all thank you for the most recent post. I was looking for a green dress for the holidays. Now for my question, do you think the asymmetric hem is going to be around for a while or will it quickly become dated? I realize I can always have the hem evened out, but I don’t want to do that any sooner than necessary. What is your “best estimate”?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

It’s around for a while. The Spring shows just finished for 2014, in the US and Europe, and there are still plenty of asymmetrical hems being shown. It’s not going away any time soon….and I’m doing them for next spring also.

          1. Nancy

Wonderful! I really thought your reply would be something more like we would need a crystal ball, so I truly do appreciate your comment regarding it still being around next spring. It’s nice to be able to make a purchase knowing I’ll be able to wear it for a while.

  53. Chris/Jazzmom

    Good evening Louis,

Will there be more ponte knit pants coming; in Petite sizing and in wine color?

    Thanks in advance for answering,

    Chris

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

There will be a wine ponte legging coming in Dec. that’s it for wine.

      1. Irma

Hi Louis. What other colors of leggins will we be getting?

          1. Donna

Hi Louis, will the wine match the hoodie jacket?

  54. Donna

Louis, what is the sweater you are showing with the gold multi strand necklace? Is that a posh knit?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Donna that is the Whisper Knit V-neck in pewter or gray whatever the name is….I can’t keep them all straight….but it’s the WK.

      1. Donna

Louis is looks like a pink color – definitely not gray and it is not V neck. If you click on “home” it’s the first picture. thnx

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’m not sure what you are looking at. In the collage of the multi color metallic necklace I have it with the gray WK v- neck. the photo in the upper left show the V under the necklace. I never put it with a pink sweater.

          1. Donna

Thanks you! Guess it’s the lighting…I thought it looked more pink. That necklace is gorgeous!

  55. Kathy Sitte

    Louis, hi,

Some years ago you made a sweater (A-18996) which had three zippers, one around the neck so the turtleneck portion could be removed, and one at each elbow so that the sweater could be converted from long sleeve to short sleeve. I still have my sweater, I LOVE that sweater and I still wear it all the time even though it is getting pretty shabby. Every time I wear it I still get compliments. Could you resurrect it? Pretty please!! I’d buy it in every color!

    1. Donna

I remember that! I have (and love) the zipper dress that converts to a tunic.

      1. liz

Hi, So to but in ,but that dress is on Ebay in Cobalt .

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

If it’s the same dress….then it has to be a factory duplicate sample.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kathy….I remember that sweater and the dress Donna has very well. I thought they were very clever, but they did not do well so I won’t be going back to the well for those….sorry….I loved them too. The model Stacy wanted that sweater so badly….and three years later I saw it on e-bay and bought it for her….she was over the moon and very happy.

      1. Donna

That is too funny and so very sweet of you!

  56. Amy aka LacyLass

Posh Knit Question Louis! … so excited!! if I want to wear the cardigan as like a ‘twin set’ with the turtlenecks I have in XS– do you suggest sizing up for the cardigan to a S? or would my normal size XS be best? Have loved my turtlenecks as a true treasure so KNOW I am gonna love it! 🙂 thank you VERY much…Amy aka LacyLass

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I don’t think if you want to layer them that it would hurt to go up one size….it might be a good idea.

      1. Amy aka LacyLass

thank you Louis–that helped me decide to get the black and ivory in both XS and S — that way I have the XS to throw over my maxi dresses in spring and my blouses in fall and the S size to use as sweater sets .. will throw in a color or two also 🙂 appreciate your help! Amy

  57. Chrystene

    Hi Louis –

Gail mentioned in a question that Jac has a blog. Where do we find it? I am sure she has a lot of interesting information. I can’t wait to see all the Posh Knits.

    1. Gail

I get periodic posts on my Facebook page from Jac since I “friended” her. I like the way she expresses herself. She seems like someone you would enjoy being with.

      1. Gail

Louis, did you see my comment about wearing the yellow jean jacket to the Pirates wild card game?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes Gail…..I saw it…..who cares!..The Yankees are out of it!! BOO HOO..JUST KIDDING….as long as you BEAT Boston…..then I will be happy….so keep supporting the PIRATES!!!GO PIRATES

        2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Gail….sorry to hear about the game last night……I’ll be rooting for them tonight! I don’t get to see it here in CT.

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

I guess the rooting paid off….they had a great win today….congratulations…..however the Red Sox are winning too.

            1. Gail

Don’t worry about the Red Sox, if Boston gets past Tampa Bay, Detroit will take care of them. I’m off to the Pirates game tomorrow. Have to switch to the Linea black crinkle knit georgette shirt. It’s going to be hot and McCutcheon called for everyone to wear black.

  58. DeLois

Louis, I think I wrote earlier that I was afraid to order the one button checked blazer because I had never had or tried on a one button jacket that I thought looked good on me. Since I had already ordered the vest and navy slacks, I decided to give it a try. It arrived yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised that it looks ok and I will keep it (I still would have preferred a straight cut front and another button)……. but it is ok on me and I must say that the size 10 is much better on my frame than the medium sized jackets…….wish QVC would allow straight sizing for your jackets. Thanks for all you do…….

  59. Kate

LDO–the Posh has begun to arrive! First new piece (cardigan) posted today. Is it too soon to start hinting broadly for sneak peeks?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’ll work on it, but I do not have every sample in every color….just the cardigan and scarf…..all the others I have in two colors each.

      1. Kate

We’re thinking we’ll see the tank, scarf, and scoop neck sweater sooner than later (perhaps today)!

      2. Kate

Two questions if you have any brain bandwidth: what are the dimensions of the scarf and do you prefer gold or silver with the raspberry? I want to send a sweater set and scarf along with your sparkly watch as a gift and not sure which one to choose.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Morning….the muffler is approx 18 inches wide and 80 inches long….give or take…it’s stretchy….it’s very ample….not skimpy at all. I prefer silver with the Raspberry.

          1. Kate

Thanks for the info. 80″ is very luxurious!

            1. Quendiva

80″ scarf length. Thank you Louis!!

          2. Cathy in PA

Good Morning Louis, and thank you for the answers to Kate … the muffler size is wonderful. One additional question if I might: is the muffler a single layer or a tube knit? I can’t wait to get several of these mufflers! Thanks again!

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

It a single layer. If it were tubular it would be way to thick to wrap around the neck.

            2. Cathy in PA

Especially when we wrap Raspberry and Black ones together … Thank You for the answer!

  60. Patti ("Writer with Flair")

    Dear Louis and Ladies,

I saw this posting on the Linea Forum on QVC. I thought you might get a laugh out of it.

    CONFESSIONS
Confession #1 – The UPS man had to bring my Tower of Shame to my door on a dolly.

Confession #2 – I turned my a/c way down so I could wear my new WK sweater (it’s still hot here in Texas).

  61. Gail

Louis, I think that Jac mentioned on her blog that you are a Yankee fan, which I assume means that you like all baseball. You might be interested to know that in the sea of black at the Pittsburgh Pirates game last night was a yellow jean jacket, worn over a grey Pirates shirt with a yellow “P” on the chest. That was me, among 40,000 other screaming, Jolly Roger towel-waving people. Linea was represented at one of the most exciting games you could imagine. Now, onward and upward!

    1. Heidi

      Hi Gail,

Oh, how I envy you being there! I’m a transplanted Pirates fan now living in the heart of Reds country so I was thrilled with the outcome and would have loved to be back at PNC Park. I, too, have that yellow jean jacket and have been proudly sporting it over a variety of black whisper knits. Louis can outfit us for any occasion…bring on the Cards!

      1. Gail

I hope you can see the game today at 5. Slip on the yellow jean jacket.

    2. Andrea

Louis, I am a secret Yankee fan (I grew up in N.Y.)and I want to warn you to never mention your preference if you visit Boston. And if you go to a game with them playing each other and say anything, you’d be lucky to escape with your life. When I see my doctor (another secret fan)we close his door and whisper. Years ago when I took a group of children from Boston Children’s to a game Phil Rizzuto was still announcing for the Yankees and we met in the holding room. He was so upset he took a couple players and made a surprise visit to the hospital the next a.m. I could never get Red Sox players to show up.

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

That’s surprising about the Red Sox players. Probably if it were a Red Sox event they would have.

        1. Andrea

Louis, I guess I wasn’t clear. The Red Sox were playing the Yankees at Fenway Park in Boston. Fenway is about ten minutes from Children’s Hospital. The Red Sox player’s wouldn’t visit because their agents wanted to be paid for their time. They said that “The Jimmy Fund,” was the only charity they’d visit. I was working for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and on of our volunteer doctors was the doc for Fenway so we got one night a year. One of our kids got to pitch the first ball and we all got to stand on the field. I was with world famous doctors who became little kids. The green was heaven; the color of your malachite.Things have gotten better now.

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

That’s terrible! The agents are blood suckers, but what’s with the players? They have minds of their owns…..terrible, terrible.

  62. Dariann

    Dear Louis,

Today, I wore for the first time J284035, your multi-strand metallic bead necklace in the multi- color. I paired it with your walnut boucle knit top, A236148 and a pair of your black pants. What a stunning look!I received many compliments and was asked where I purchase the necklace. Hope QVC reorders this because it is on waitlist. I twisted the necklace into a torsade and it looked great. I also have the necklace in gold and hope that your other Linea Ladies have the opportunity to buy it in either gold or silver.

    Dariann

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Dariann….I happy to hear you are knocking it out of the park!…and enjoying your new necklaces…I’m also happy to hear you are loving that boucle sweater which was one of my favorite, and I was very sorry to hear QVC has put it on sale so soon….I didn’t even get a chance to have a second showing!

      1. Celia

That sweater is the bomb, Louis!!! I wore the spruce with the two gunmetal necklaces and the gunmetal chain link earrings, the way you styled it on the blog!

      2. Celia

        Dear Louis,

The green boucle sweater is the bomb- I wore it with the gunmetal jewelry, just the way you showed it. Fine!

  63. Karen in WA

Just received the sienna floral tee, and it is beyond beautiful! I had hoped it went with the Topaz seamed jacket, but it does not. Would the Raspberry floral go with the raspberry seamed jacket?
    Thanks for everything.

    1. Karen in WA

I mean the fushia seamed jacket :-/

Dear Karen the raspberry and fuchsia are totally different colors and would not work well together.

    Dearest Louis,

The multicolor multistrand metallic bead necklace is so wonderful. The color mix makes it perfect for travel–can we expect anything in the way of earrings in the chocolate metal coming from you? I’d love the swirl buttons in chocolate or the demi hoops if either of those styles are reordered.

Dear Carol…..I am trying to get a chocolate earring and eventually I will. The swirl was planned to come in Chocolate but that particular factory could not plate that color, and the other factory that did the demi hoop, which was also going to be reordered…BURNT DOWN!!!I am sure I will have one at some point…..Chocolate seems to be a difficult color to plate……who knew…..I just like it….leave it to me to pick something that is difficult to do.

Do you have any idea when the waitlisted swirls will arrive?
