The color station necklace: How could something so simple (and light weight I might add) convey so much POW! I got 2 each of 3 colors and love them worn as a double in the same color as you suggested. I’ll wear them with one clasped at the shorter length and one at the longer length of the extender chain. Louis, in the sneak peeks we’ve seen only the leg portion of the slim ankle jeans. I’m assuming that there is elastic at the waist because QVC’s “click here” measurements gives a relaxed measurement and an extended measurement. Is the elastic at the back, the sides, or all around the waist? Is there a waistband, and how wide? I have two colors ordered already, but I’m curious!

I lived in the Black, White and Limoges Ponte skirts last summer (and the matching jackets, too)—hard to believe there were so many returns that precluded a reorder. I so wanted this in the Red Ponte that you did the zip front jacket and slim pants in. It’s such a great skirt and I’m looking forward to wearing them again this summer.

no….in an ideal world they would, but they were planned months apart and we didn’t think to coordinate. Since they were dyed at different time, they more than likely would not have matched anyway.

I’m really looking forward to the new ankle denim jeans you have mentioned, and used as co-ordinates when sneak-peaking various tops. But I can’t find a detailed discussion and display of those jeans on your blog. My key questions is this: The Q computer system is pre-listing the jeans on waitlist with the color “navy”– is this color your classic inky blue navy, or is it really an indigo denim that would semi-match your previous jeans and denim skirt that were in an “indigo” shade? The cotton span leggings are on this show…..no sneak peek because I can’t photograph bottoms, can’t get them on my form….colors black, twig and navy….

Only black….the other colors are white, olive and peacock. There will also be a similar tunic, but it will be short sleeve and have a scoop neckline….same pocket detail…..all avail in June.

OK Louis, I’m still begging for a Pink jacket the color of A252345 in the Pink Tunic Shirt color above. (BTW; I guess the tunic must be sold out and I missed it!.) I just got through buying the Aqua denim jacket (A232350), which I just discovered was a new color for now, but this jacket would be beautiful in the pink color above. 🙂 I also noticed someone on your website talking about a pant that goes with this jacket, but an item number was not mentioned. Hello Louis, I have made up my mind that my budget will go for whisper knits this season as it was for last season. My question is I love the open front cardigan and the drape front cardigans. I bought all the colors from last season so could you tell us what new colors will be coming. I know it must drive you crazy to tell us early but you know how fast they sell out so research has to be done in advance so we get them while you can. Buy the way I also buy the matching tanks. Hi Louis, something is very FISHY! I check multiple times per day for the Fish Pendant, yet somehow at least they are saying that the Gold Fish was up and is already gone. Someone said they just ordered their second one today, and she is one of your regular Linea buyers and participant on the Forum and LDO.com, so she is very credible. Apparently the Silver was not listed. I’m not sure what is going on, but the Q is going to have a horde of angry Linea buyers storming the gates—because everyone that missed last time wanted one for sure, this time! YIKES—the wailing and the gnashing of teeth begins!
Will be interesting to know if those who ordered the gold fish actually got them, so I hope that they let us know if they received them or not.
I saw them posted and the jewelry count said 49; now it says 48.
My jewelry rep, said the gold pendant was shipped to them last week, but she wasn’t aware that it was posted yet. She is out of the office today but returns tomorrow and she will let me know….It looks like the gold may have been posted. I have no idea how many they bought.

Louis, I know you don’t like giving this sort of advice, but what color shoe or sandal would you suggest for the yellow lace shell and skirt? I’ve narrowed down my color choice to this but I’m stumped as to what color shoe…I would wear this outfit in a casual environment…

Dear Mary…..this is the kind of advise I do like to give….It’s fit advise I’m not comfortable with…… With the yellow lace I would say a gold or matte gold sandal, which should not be a problem to find….it also depends what accessories you put with it. If you chose silver, which looks good with yellow too, then I would pick a silver sandal…..For something more fun it could be a sandal with stones on it or even a color sandal….again, depending on what you wear with it….say you wore the yellow lace skirt and the white WK and jacket….then you could wear any color shoe and accessories….red, turq, lime etc etc…..of course a yellow sandal would be a natural…..What I am saying is…DON’T put yourself in a box and think only one thing will work. Jac got a sandal from Stuart Weitzman a few seasons back made of clear, but iridescent, narrow plastic tubing that picks up all colors. For real casual a cork or rope bottom wedge with a canvass or woven straw topped espadrille would work too, and then there are fun Flip flops.

Thank you Louis for the great suggestions as to wearing the CLEAR classic necklace – which of COURSE I have – and for soothing my disappointment about not getting the pink version 🙂 I agree that the clear definitely goes with more. At the same time as I ordered the CLEAR, I also ordered the mocha mist, blue mist, driftwood, and grey pearl sets and absolutely yes the CLEAR goes with all of them. (Already owned the perfectly pink.) Honestly Louis. Those pearls are TDF! Beautifully made and strung! The coming-in-April pewter crepe suit as well as the silver flecked tank are “on the list”.
The Pewter suit is outrageous….and as a separate pant it’s fabulous.
The Pewter crepe suit is on “my” list as well…I don’t have a need for a suit, but if I’m buying a jacket such as the Pewter, I will always try to buy matching pieces at the time…just in case I need them. Always wear as separates of course.

I realized that another anorak I have has a metal piece that keeps the anorak cinched so that if I don;t tie at waist – the setting is where I want it & stays. What do you suggest?

Dear NJ Lady…..you gave me my laugh of the morning! No, I did not leave the stopper off to keep the price down….LOL….Frankly I just didn’t think of it, and sometimes they can make a jacket look too casual. It you want to keep the jacket always drawn at the same place…simple knot the tie where you want the cord from going into the metal grommet.
Just a thought, but you can buy those “keepers” from fabric and sewing suppliers, and add to a jacket.

Man, I wish the Linea Ladies made the QVC buyers decisions for them!!! Some of the decisions they make are just inexplicable. Don’t know how you keep from feeling disappointed Louis when they turn down fabulous pieces, styles and color offerings. We won’t even GO there as to the amounts they decide to order in. (I’m still licking my wounds about the pink version of the “classic” necklace that sold out – as in went to waitlist – in less than 24 hours without an on air showing. Of course I missed it and have now had it on waitlist for over 30 days.)
Dear Nancy….sorry about the pink necklace. I will tell you that I just accessorized the clear version with the silver and ivory pearl beads on my new pewter crepe suit with the silver gray flecked tweed tank [all reorders] and it is stunning. I actually think the clear works with more things.

Just a quick question, if you don’t mind. Would any of the hydrangea tops A213615 go with your 3/4 sleeve open front jacket in the fuschia or caribbean blue color? Any other cardigans or jackets you could recommend to go over the hydrangea floral tops? Thank you!!!
The hydrangea tops don’t go color wise with the fuchsia or Caribbean blue jackets…..I will depend which hydrangea prints you are talking about. Foe the twig and gray hydrangea, I have a new, actually reorder crepe jacket coming in the pewter, a linen blend jacket coming in twig and a twig reorder jacket coming in ponte. for the other colors….I have lots of white or Ivory jackets coming, plus Indigo, white and yellow denim which work well with the hydrangea prints. There is also a blue/white linen jacket coming that looks great with the navy hydrangea…..you will have lots of options.

I have the same question that JustJazz asks under the sneak peek of the new pink tunic shirt which you paired with the RED whisper knit tank …. Is that the new SPICE station necklace and does that color SPICE work well with the gorgeous red of the WK tank in Red as well as the WK mock neck elbow sleeve top in RED that came out this season? QVC calls the color “Spice/Brown” in the item description but does this work well with your beautiful spring RED items?

Hi Louis, I received the sweater in blue animal print and at first I thought maybe it was too much for me, but decided to wear it with black jeggings and black sequin flats as I was having a few friends over. I got a lot of compliments on it which made me feel very good…….. Also, yesterday I received the anorak jacket in the light shade and I absolutely adore it……. I am so glad that i was not too frightened by the slightly shiny look, because it is not that shiny, and looks so rich and will go with so many colors as you said……….the fit is perfect as always……. so nice to know that the sizing will be right….. Thank you so much…….I would still like some hoop earrings in a tarnished gold like brass slightly tarnished…….. can’t find that anywhere and so many necklaces and trim call for that and it is generally not available in a classic unadorned earring……..

It will definitely look good with my white jeans and jacket. Since the denim has gold buttons…I would suggest gold jewelry which will look great with the twig. The top on it’s own cab carry gold, silver or gunmetal

Yes there was. I was told that the plating was ruined during production and the earring could not be delivered, I was very disappointed.

Dear Debbie……..sorry you are disappointed, but I haven’t given up on Chocolate earrings in the future.I would suggest mixing metals. I would show the chocolate bracelet with the Gunmetal hoop and the new Spice or Olive bead necklaces….an ethnic bead earring would look great too. You don’t have to match your jewelry….mix it up…it’s more interesting…..A topaz drop with chocolate…….I will show that chocolate cuff with my new Coffee Bean WK and a tiger eye bead earring….really there are so many ways to go. The new Bronze faceted drop earring that matches the Glass faceted bead long necklace is PERFECT with the chocolate….and that is exactly how I will be showing it with an up coming rayon/span dress.

It’s a vintage Anne Klein piece….it has metal medallions and resin medallions alternating.

Dear nikki….the beads were actually Linea samples, and were going to be purchased for the line, however my manufacture found out that this particular factory used child labor and has ceased doing business with them. Unfortunately this particular factory was able to develop great looking beads, and we have not been able to find another resource who can duplicate them at a good price…which is probably why we were able to get them at such a low price…we will keep looking for more resources……I don’t really see the slate with the yellow….I think the yellow is just too bright a bottom for the slate top, but I’m not 100% sure of that……..maybe with the right accessories it could work.
I applaud your decision of not using the factory that used child labor, Louis. Bravo!

Dear nikki….you can wear the slate with natural linen or any pale beige or pale taupe bottom. I did sneak peek the slate top with my faux herringbone line pant in the natural and they look great together.Black looks good too.

I received my Charcoal jacket today, FAB-U-LOUS!!! Outstanding fabric, was surprised as to how soft it is, and fits like a dream.
If I wear a small scale matching print top and bottom (i.e., little white dot on a navy background), will I get the same slimming effect that I do with a solid column of color on the top and bottom? Thanks for your advice.
Ideally yes….but it would also depend on the silhouette of the top and bottom.

They are ankle length. I have seen them on Jac and she likes them. They have a 50’s, 60’s Audrey Hepburn look
Hi, Louis. Once upon a time, there was a wonderful slim leg, fly-front pair of slacks, item # A217972. I have two pairs of these legendary pants in black and one in olive that I have lived in and traveled in since 2011. They wash and hang dry overnight. They do not wrinkle or sag in the knees and do not attract lint. They are the perfect weight and are very flattering. The elastic in the back make for a perfect fit every time, no matter how my weight my fluctuate. Will this wardrobe staple return one day? I know that one day the ones I have are sure to give out or give up!
Bobbie, I adore those pants. I have 2 in Black, 1 in Fawn and 1 in Olive. I wear them at least once a week. I call these and the straight leg version (A217971), ‘Hurricane’ pants because they were presented during and shortly after Hurricane Irene, and as a result many of us lost power and the opportunity to order them. So many of the women on the forum talk about how much we loved those pants, but they were discontinued.
I’d love to have another slim leg pant in that fabric.
Bobby, I agree. These pants are the mainstay of my office wardrobe. I have two of every color. Their cut and fabric make them the perfect career pant. I can sit through six hours of meetings and stand up and look neat and fresh (while the others look distinctly rumpled from their long sit). If this pant came back – and in new colors – I’d hope the Q would triple order them, because that is what I’d do!
I’m right there with you ladies. I have two black and one olive in A217972 and wear them regularly. Perfect with short boots, sandals, flats. Year round professional wear and can be called in for a dressier look with the right top. I can not say enough about these pants. Love the fabric. Love the cut. So slimming and comfortable. I, too, would order multiples in all colors available. By the way, the last time I flew, I actually made sure they were in my carry on because if my suitcase got lost, nothing in my suitcase would distress me to lose like those pants.
I’m joining the bandwagon! I have two of each color. These are my all time favorite Linea pants. I echo all the remarks above – the BEST!
Add me to the chorus on these pants! Greenie that I am, I have two pairs of the olive just in case something happens to one of them. I would love to have these pants return to the Linea lineup and have it become an “essential” in multiple colors. –Blinddogs

Dear Delores….I tried them together and I like them together. You have to realize the Indigo denim is a bit distresses and the T is solid so the navies aren’t exact, but that’s nit picking…the the oldd Linea jewerly it will look fabulous. I also tried it under the sunshine yellow the white and aqua and liked it with all of them
Howdy Louis – Just returned from a trip out West. Missed your recent shows, but have watched the videos. Very excited for the B/W Striped WK sweater Jac was wearing with the White denim jacket. Will this ‘new’ style be offered in multiple colors such as Navy?

It comes in three color combinations but none are navy.

Louis, The sunshine yellow jeans are calling to me. Loved the sneak peek of the new jeans during the show. Louis you are always so creative on how you style the models and get in all the extras that are not item being sold–Bravo. Two items I’d love to have are a whisper knit maxi and whisper knit slim pants. Any chance they we could see the pants & maxi in WK sometime?

I liked your suggestion to wear the Charcoal one over the Heather Grey legging but would you leave the Anorak on as coverage over a tank? Any other suggestion as to how to style it would be welcome. Dear Jennifer there are no set ways or rules how you can wear it. I would suggest try it with lots of different bottoms, from jeans to khakis, to georgette skirts and pleated skirts. It certainly doesn’t have to be worn just as an outerwear jacket. Wear it with turtlenecks and tanks, button down shirts and all kinds of sweaters….dresses are another option! Really, HAVE FUN WITH IT!…leggings, capris, crop pants, pencil skirts, Long straight skirts, pleated skirts etc etc. try all kings of colors under them ….I can go on and on…..if you have my BLACK sequin skirts wear them for evening….that would look incredible. Try them with things you would never think of putting them with…that’s the fun of it!
Dear Jennifer…..I would, but that’s me……I think you would get a 50/50 vote on that….I don’t think it’s any heavier than any other jacket……certainly lighter than a leather or suede and women wear them indoors as a blazer substitute.
I plan on using it like a jacket/blazer and keep it on inside…I always have a jacket of some sort on…what a way to look with these beauties.

Someone started a thread on the forum asking about our favorite Linea pieces and in looking through my closet, hand’s down, my workhorse would be A221798,the poly/rayon/spandex pants that came in black, lavender, and sand. I have all three colors and wear them all the time with and without the matching pearl-button blazers. They’re comfortable, appropriate for work or dressed up, don’t stretch out or bag in the knees or seat, and don’t fade after many washings. I’m putting a request in for a reorder of these great pants. Please tell me you have something in the works.

A very similar pant is coming in the same crepe fabric to go with the reorder jacket with the signature metal buttons tat came last year in Navy, Ivory and the new Aqua…..the new color is a pewter or smoke gray and the pant will come in all the colors….and the ivory is lined.
Please, when May we expect these fabulous pieces? That is the best fitting jacket for me…also the new zip front ponte jacket fits equally as great.
Sorry, I forget you don’t see where the question is coming from…When are the pewter/smoke grey crepe fabric pants and jacket scheduled for delivery. The one that was in the Navy, Ivory, and new Aqua. So love that jacket and pants.
The jacket and pant will be coming in April…..Ivory, Aqua and Pewter only.
I have the Navy, Ivory, and Red…so…I think the Pewter will be coming my way…love all shades of Grey.

Louis, I’m so glad you and Jac made it home safely. Your shows were great. I bought 2 denim jackets, 2 chiffon jacquard tunics and 2 of the reordered georgette crepe tops. Can’t wait for them to arrive.
Do you remember what size Maria was wearing in the jacquard tunic? I use her as a guideline on what size to choose for myself. It looked like she might have been wearing an XL in that one. If so, I need to change sizes in mine before they ship. Thanks for all you do for us.

Dear Kay H….I had the stylist get both sizes for her o see which worked best, but I don’t know which one she wore…..if you are between…I’d go up, as I personally prefer these looser rather than skimpy.

I have question on the new Anorak Jacket that is available for ordering. Is the material water resistant and if not would light rain be an issue for this Jacket?
Couldn’t watch the shows live as I am currently on travel but checked out some of the videos – looked like a great show. Ordered the faux silk pieces in slate and moss and the limoges blue sweater.

Dear Laura….the jacket fabric has not been treated for any kind of water resistance. It adds cost to the garment to add these special finishes and quite frankly they are not guaranteed after a few washings…..May I suggest a pretty umbrella!!! LOL…….Have a good trip!

Since the order isn’t written I can not say for sure whether or not it will happen!?
