Louis, I wonder if you can help me with this question. Since the Q has not yet posted a photo of the TWIG color in the ponte knit jacket now available – A233182 – and I cannot recall seeing a photo of it here – can you tell me which shade of the boho skirt best co-ordinates with this particular jacket’s shade of Twig? Nancy, It’s me Cela, not Louis but I think he said that is the Taupe boho with the twig printed top in the sneak peek. Isn’t it perfect?
Thanks Cela for jumping in 🙂 But then he did the mocha boho with the twig print shirt. So, since we haven’t seen the shade of twig in the jacket …. I’m afraid to go ahead and order.
I am home from the shows and have checked out the colors. First the Ponte knit has a slight pink tint, but is a taupe color, so I think the TAUPE Boho works best even though it is does not have a pink caste. The print is darker than the Ponte and has even more of a pink cast and that is why I like it much more with the mocha boho….color is a very funny and illusive thing.
Thank you Louis 🙂 I’m so glad to have this information! Especially since I pull off taupes with a pink tint better than ones with a more yellow tint. (Did I get that right?) I am often frustrated that the Q waits weeks, sometimes months, to actually post photos of new colors of items (reorders) until long after they are up for sale. I have the taupe boho and will be ordering the twig version of the jacket – A233182. Looking forward to the Wed and Thursday shows.
Just so you know…the Q has NOT changed the show times listed on the Linea site.

As a lover of all shades of pink, just popping on to thank you for that gorgeous geranium pink I just received in the sleeveless WK v-neck. What a beautiful color! And it pairs up so well with so many unexpected things. Like the navy floral maxi boho of 2 seasons ago. And it looks luscious with the perfectly pink boho, paired with an ivory jacket. Wow! It’s a stunning contrast to so many Linea jackets in my wardrobe! 2nd thank you for the new chili pepper red ponte knit jacket which arrived in the same order. So perfect with my chili pepper paisley border print skirt and of course with my chili pepper boho. It will be YUM with the Linea Ivory pleated skirt, the white boho and the navy boho. Such a rich red! Sometimes mouth-watering color is more satisfying than food!

The new whisper knit tank (A253408) is up for order. However, in checking the measurements on QVC, the medium chest and sweep measurements are each 3″ smaller than the whisper knit tank (A237404) that was offered last fall. Is there additional stretch in the new version? Should I size up to the large in the new tank? Thanks!

Carol, I have forwarded your question to my production team for a better answer. I would guess that since it is an Every Needle Rib construction there is more stretch or else there would not be such a difference in measurements, but I will get back to you as soon as I here.
Carol….I just heard back, and it was as I had thought. The measurements are smaller because of the ENR. I have been advised to9 tell you to buy your regular size….do not size up.
So these tanks are similar in fit to the ribbed V neck tank you had from several years ago that came in navy and white? Trying to wrap my head around how a 33″ measurement of garment is going to fit a 38″ bra wearing person!!
I have no answer…that’s what they are telling me….if you are large I guess it wouldn’t hurt to size up one……..what is the bust measurement one size up?

Bust measurement for Small is 33″ and for Medium its 35.5″ I am also looking at armhole height too. 7″ for the Small and 7.5 for the Medium.
I was talking to you….sorry. It would make more sense if your a 38 the 35 1/2 would be better than the 33. I hate to say this but maybe you should just get the white in both sizes and see which you like best then order what ever else color you want. The white will probably go the quickest.

I have to say, Louis, this is really annoying. Nowhere in the QVC item description does it say it is ENR; there is no reason to think it would be any different from the WK tanks of the past. I admit I’m cranky after being shipped a D&Co top instead of the raspberry Posh muffler I paid for, plus a $140 order that was never delivered that I couldn’t be aware of within QVC’s 45 day policy for claims. I try to keep up with your blog which I love, but I don’t always have time to scroll through multiple posts to find a single comment about an item. Isn’t there a better way of identifying these items that would make clear the distinctions between all the varieties of WK available now?
Dear jmarie…..this is not something the people In charge of writing the script would be aware of, and defining the category of W Knits is what is most important. I will always let you know which sweaters are ENR.

Hello Louis, I need your professional opinion on this new linen look with the patterned pants. I am a plus size women that carries her weight around the middle section. Should a plus size women wear patterned pants or does it call attention to the problem areas. I really like the black look so please let me know about the pants please .
Dear Sharon….I think it looks good IF you cover the problem areas with a black longer top and have the print below that. You don’t want the print across the problem areas. My longer cotton knit V-neck tunic with the pockets is what I am talking about. That top would be perfect.
THANKYOU Louis for your advice. It’s very important that the jackets or sweater be the right length to cover the complete backside and not just half . I’m sure when you are out and about you see a plus size women from the back it doesn’t look good. My body needs at least 29 inches to look good and jackets and sweaters are getting shorter but I imagine cost has a lot to do with that. I must ask one more question, was there a difference in the spring summer whisper knits compared to later darker colors such as lapis blue in the late summer fall collection . The weight seems to be lighter with the Fiesta colors than the others or is it my imagination.
Dear Sharon…..the WK yarn is always the same. With darker colors the yarn soaks up more dye and does feel heavier, but they aren’t.It just the dye.

Louis, what I really would like is a topper length of A233950 the open front kimono cardigan for fall/winter. This is my all time favorite style cardigan you have done. It suits me perfectly, however there are times a longer topper length of this style IS just what I need. Would you please consider it? Thank you as always.

Could you please tell me about the sleeve length of the new short sleeve WK cardigan that is coming? Is it the length of your short sleeve scoop neck and v-neck tops, longer like the elbow length sleeve, or somewhere in-between? Also, is the lapis of the WK open front cardigan(A233950)the same as the lapis from last fall’s tank and drape front cardigan?

Dear rae…..The sleeve is aprox 7 1/2 inches which is approx the same as the short sleeve V-neck WK…..The lapis is the same.

Hi Louis, can you explain to me how the greys/grays differ in the Grey (A233187) reorder tunic and the Pewter crepe blazer/pants? Have never understood the difference between grey and gray either??? Thanks so much!
There really isn’t much difference in these grays. Pewter is a yellow based gray, or what is called a warm gray…..they are usually easier to wear especially the lighter the gray gets. Silver grays are cool grays and blue based. Almost everyone can wear the very dark grays….yellow or blue based…..The pale grays can was you out. Both the tunic and the pewter crepe jacket are warm grays just slightly different.
So these 2 shades of gray are very close…
Sherry, I just googled gray vs.grey and what came up is that in the US the color is spelled gray. Outside of the US, the color is spelled grey.

Dear Mary……Given the two choices…I would have to say yellow…BUT in no way is it orangey. It is warm with a little brown in it like a real CHILI PEPPER.Its a very saturated co9lor and it has been very successful. Maybe some of the Ladies who own it can add some comments to better help you decide. You will never really know until you try it. Also, sometimes a change in blush helps.

There will be new pebble crep crop pants in June. This version has a slimmer leg. The original had a straight wider led. There will also be C. Bean shorts in the light weight cotton in April.

Dear nikki….now that’s a tough as both colors look great with the skirt. Since you would wear the cardigan open with a tank….I would say the turquoise and the short sleeve cardigan , which you wear closed with just the bottom buttons OPENED, in the Chili Pepper…………I don’t even remember which styles the Turq. comes in ….LOL

Dear Goldie….not this year….it was Black or Navy…..and I’m doing more things that go with black….so black won out. It’s not that the navy didn’t do well…it did…..It’s sort of like Sophie’s choice….NOT quite, but you get what I mean. They are both good basic colors and both sell, but due to monies allotted a choice had to be made……..maybe next year.

Well Chris…this is the problem….I have not received my samples yet, because they are due in July. If the smoke boho matches the smoke georgette safari shirt then the color is a little off. I think they can still be worn with the jacket, but no guarantees until I see the skirt. When it comes in it may be slightly different again due to the fact the fabric was dyed separately so there are no guarantees it will be exactly the same….who knows it may match better.
I love the new color wisteria. Will there be anything else coming in it? Is it similar the last years iris?

The only thing coming in wisteria are thew sweaters listed, no clothing. It is an accent color. I can not find the Iris, but I do have last years Violet which is much darker and deeper than the Wisteria.
Louis, I love the small theaters and clubs of New York City. I so wanted to see Machinal, by a small production company there, but chickened out due to weather. Ironic that you mention change in the city, that is what this play was about, but it left March 2.
Do you think florals are going to be big this spring? Do we have “geraniums” coming to Linea? 🙂
I’m not doing any new floral prints for this spring, but I will have a reorder of the floral cardigan and in a new color, and the floral Ts that were reordered…. I’m taking a break from new florals because we have so many reorders. No more geraniums….only the reorder that came in the new taupe/grey combo.

Dear Cela the blue colors in the sweater are paler than the wisteria but they definitely work….the geranium is a little more saturated in the WK but they are almost exact, so you can definitely wear them together.
Louis, could you please check if the Q ordered 3X in chili pepper or coffee bean in the A233952 scoop neck top? They took the 3X option down after last season and did not put it back up when they loaded in the new colors. If I phone order, they only read what I see on the monitor – that there are no 3X colors in that top. They didn’t load any chili pepper in 3x in the A233950 cardigan either, but that probably is just a warehouse oversight. I’m hoping the lack of 3X scoop neck tops may be just webbie forgeting to reload the option. But I thought I’d check if they ordered them in the first place. I hate to bother you with the question; but, I have the chili pepper ponte knit jacket on waitlist and ordered the coffee bean cardigan this morning. I would like very much to have a matching top to wear underneath each of those – preferably with some sleeves. Thank you!

Louis, many thanks for posting the WK program. I’m using a print out of your post – much better than my own notes. It’s also an effective way to keep track of previous purchases/colors. ( Afraid to do a real count – lots of lineal ft of WK in my closet!)

GREAT description on the Dk. Tan and the latte: “The Dk. Tan matches my Hemp Feather Jersey……say 60% coffee and 40% milk and the Latte….is more 30% coffee and 60% milk….make sense?….” Thank you! It makes sense. Would you mind commenting on the color ingredients in the coming TWIG ponte knit jacket and how do these color ingredients work with last years BAMBOO pleated skirt? Harmoniously?

These are tan colors and the twig is a taupe….not at all alike.
Dear Nancy…..the Twig is a med. Taupe. To make taupe you tale a tan and you add gray or black depending on the shade you want. There are yellow based taupes and pink based taupes. I would call the Twig color in general a yellow based taupe. A232345, the WK tank with the rib bottom works perfectly with the jacket. The A252344, cotton span legging, the A252354 rayon/span skirt and the matching A252353, rayon span tank are all twig and are all slightly…very slightly different from the jacket. In my lighting, today’s a cloudy day, they look fine together. The rayon has a little bit of pink in it compared to the jacket . The legging is closer, but you would never find anything to match any better. As I have said before taupes and greys are very difficult to match from one fabric to another especially when you are dealing with different fabric mills in different parts of the country. There is a tolerance that is acceptable and I think these four fabrics meet that tolerance. As for the bamboo…..that’s a horse of another color. It is a true yellow straw color. I o like them together, but that’s me. I love mixing neutrals, but your accesories will play a key role in making it all work………..I don’t know if I have said this and it’s a little off subject, but the Twig rayon span looks great with the lace jackets.
Boy, I don’t know where I was when I sat in art classes in HS and later in one oil painting class in college – but I have just learned volumes from you regarding components of and color mixing with these various taupes as well as your to-the-point treatise regarding purples. This tells me a LOT about why I can pull off some taupes with ease and hardly much make-up and literally struggle with other neutrals in this family. Heartfelt thanks for this education and explanation!
The new colors are up for ordering on the A-233940 WK V-Neck Cardigan and A-233942 WK V-Neck Tank w/Rib Trim. I have previously ordered both of these items on Wait List in the color White. The Cardigan is now listed for the color White but only available on wait list for all sizes. But for the V-Neck Tank, the color White is not listed at all.
I checked the status of my previous orders for both of these items in White and my orders are still showing as “Wait List”. Do you know if there is a problem with the color White ever becoming available? I will be heart broken as I have REALLY been wanting both of these items in White.

Dear Cyndi….as far as I know there are no problems, but I’ll check. I have my samples, which come from the first pieces of production, so the production was done.
Your graphic doesn’t show “white” as an option for the v-neck tank.

Louis, as I am planning my purchases for the wk I was wondering if you could offer some suggestions. I am planning to get all the colors in the denim jeans. Besides the black, navy and white, what colors would you recommend with the yellow and turquoise jeans? Since you are a master at mixing colors, I would love your suggestions. It will help me decide my wk purchases.
Dear Nikki…..that’s a difficult question and here is why. With the Aqua, yellow, white and indigo jrans all of the Fiesta colors from last year work such as the Aqua, Lime, Nectarine, and Hot Pink. The Jan group of red and yellow all work. The new colors are a little trickier. While all the new colors, the coffee bean, turquoise, g. pink, latte, chili pepper etc work with the indigo and white jeans, they were not planned to go with the color jeans. That said, I think the coffee bean, c pepper, turq and wisteria can work with thew aqua and yellow, but what is going to make the difference is the accessories to pull it together. I can make anything work because I have a vast collection of accessories and scarves to pull the colors together. I would love the wisteria and aqua together as well as the c. bean with the aqua. The turq with the yellow will work beautifully…..I know I haven’t given you much direction or eliminated much, but if you already own something in a dark brown or chili pepper or turq and a blue purple…anything….put it with your jeans and see if you have any accessories that work…..even if the colors aren’t exact it will give you an idea what you will be comfortable with…..If you what to discuss this further with specifics be my quest.

I have a question about the WK cardigan as well. Q shows a picture of the Latte, but no picture of the Dark Tan…what’s the difference, please?

Dear Yvette….the Dark Tan is almost a perfect match to the HEMP Feather Jersey. The Dk Tan tops look fabulous with the hemp FJ pants and pencil skirt. It’s a deep, not dark, warm tan.

The Dk. Tan is darker the Latte is lighter and they can be worn and mixed with each other. The Dk. Tan matches my Hemp Feather Jersey……say 60% coffee and 40% milk and the Latte….is more 30% coffee and 60% milk….make sense?….They are both beautiful neutral colors……My plan is to offer all of you a full range of neutral taupes, beiges and sands and tans……

Louis, could you give me a brief education on purples? I have the purple boho and apparently the OLO WK mock neck sleeveless top – A233947 – will be coming in purple since there is now a picture of a model wearing that color at QVC online though “purple” is not yet listed as a coming option. I’m on waitlist for “butter” so I check it periodically. Is the purple pictured in this item – a – excuse my ignorance if I get this all wrong – a blue-based purple? And the purple boho was a red-based purple? If so, they wouldn’t exactly work together, is that right? Purples – though I love em – confuse me.
Dear Nancy….it would be my pleasure to give you a lesson on PURPLE. First, it is an ancient color and only Kings and Queens were allowed to wear it, dating back to the Romans. Purple is made from mixing the two primary colors…RED and BLUE………….Equal amounts of blue and red will give you a TRUE PURPLE. Add a little more blue and the purple changes to a Purple Blue….add more blue and it becomes a Blue Purple….like a blueberry. Add a little red and it becomes a purple red….add more red and it becomes a red purple….even more and it becomes fuchsia. By the amount of blue and red you add or subtract will create many different shades of purple…….add white and you get your lavenders…..add black and you get you eggplants. So you see creating a color is a balancing act. Your Boho is a RED purple, meaning there is more red then blue. The new color for the mock neck is Wisteria and is more BLUE than red so they do not match and are the opposite ends of the purple range. Can they be worn together is a matter of taste. I do like the two purples worn together….but and it’s a big BUT……you have to be very clever with accessories. The mock neck has to be tucked into the skirt and a belt of a third color needs to break up the two purples….say red, turquoise or bright green would all look good…..a print scarf ties around the waist would also work and look very bohemian…..If this is not something you would feel comfortable doing than I would say do not put the two purples together…..I hope I have helped…………Louis

The short boho is actually more red. I compared it with the new Wisteria @WK and it is definitely redder. I compared it to the purple boho and they are in the same family of purples….except the short skirt is a deeper, darker purple. A little black was added to make it darker, but definitely in the red purple range…

But if you add the accents of turq or green (which come from adding a little yellow to blue) you are adding colors which are the contrast of purple which is Yellow, the direct opposite of purple on the color wheel?
But that’s blue, what if you added accents on the red side, mixed with purples opposite, yellow, like orange or persimmon?

Aren’t blue mixed with yellow turquoise and green, depending on the amount of yellow you add.
My question is, what about the other side of purple, RED, mixed with yellow. Could you accent these purples with orange, or persimmon, just as well? Instead of a cool accent, you would have a warm accent?

Thanks to my (now retired) Aunt in the Midwest who was a HUGE Anne Klein lover – I now own several vintage AK pieces including the Palm Frond Necklace. Do you know if the NEW Palm Frond earrings will pair well with it’s original counterpart? – as far as the Gold? Would say my vintage necklace is in excellent condition.
Also, rec’d a Gold/Black Bib Necklace that is quite the statement piece. It has Black cabochons (small @ top mounted on a wave of Gold w/large cab @ bottom to create the circular structure of the piece.) It’s marked Anne Klein Couture – Do you remember this one? It’s gorgeous – I’m a very lucky woman to own! Has an Egyptian vibe & the cabs appear to be Lucite?

I understand that the fronds on the QVC palm frond necklace are the same length as those on the original version. To my eye, the QVC fronds are a wee bit wider. Are they? Perhaps the increase in width helps compensate for the two fronds eliminated from the QVC modified version.
Am I seeing that correctly? Just wondering… This will not make a difference in my purchase, believe me, but inquiring minds want to know. 🙂

Dear Cathy….if memory serves I don’t believe the boho is due until July delivery. That said, with reorder styles, they usually ship out wait listed items as soon as the item is delivered and processed, so you may get the skirt sooner. Whenever an order of a reorder style is processed they list it on the site even if it isn’t due for months……I suppose this has its good and bad points.
I have all three colors in the boucle topper and I get so many compliments. Especially when I wear it as a “column of color”, just smashing! I also would buy this topper in black, winter white and camel. I love the Jackie Kennedy look with the 3/4 sleeves. I love my bracelets and if it is cold I wear the long sleeve WK and the 3/4 sleeve carries the topper into spring.
I do have a question about the gauze Kimono jacket that was available last spring or summer in sage, black and aqua. Has it been reordered and will there be new colors?

Dear Joan…I don’t really know the answer to your question. I can only guess the initial wait list was too large to take any more. This was before the decision to reorder both colors which will be avail in June. So there will definitely be a lot more coming.

Dear Jennifer, there really isn’t anything similar to that pant. They were side zip pants that were not very popular, so I did not repeat them, however, I use many similar fabrics as the poly/rayon/span those were made in. I would recommend the ponte knit slim pant that did very well, received high praise from the majority of women and has be reordered for Aug.I will have new pants on the spring lines in crepe, and cotton sateen.

I think we are talking about two different pants…..I’m referring to the ones that came in black, walnut, navy and heather gray….no the the red navy and gray….thought they are very similar, and fit almost exactly the same.
The first ponte pant fits me the best…that little bit of extra length in the rise of the second style was too much for me, would need petites in that style. Of course I need petites in length anyway. There were no new colors added, and the crepe and the linen blend are the only pants for April.
A few of us want to know if A211602– the faux shantung stand collar jacket fabric is going to be used again by you for other items like a tank or open cardigan or maybe pants? That fabric was wonderful!! I have it in the blue sapphire and olive colors that jacket.

There are no plans to repeat this fabric, since it did not do well and the fabric has no stretch no one really wants me to use it again.
Oh, so sad to hear that the faux shantung will not be used again! I also have the blue and olive and have worn them for all four seasons. The jackets wash beautifully, are literally stain proof, and are the perfect weight for layering. I wore them in Scotland and England, while on vacation, with the slim pants and boho shirts in black and olive. They packed beautifully. I guess I’ll just have to wear them until holes appear! I love the fabric and the safari design of the jacket.

The WK pant has’t been reordered, but I am doing a new WK pant, basically they are the same.
I hope the new WK pants will be as long as or longer than the previous style. If not, I’ll be out of luck.

This style was quite a bit too long in the rise and also too tight in the waist for me, I can take care of legs being too long (which these were), but I won’t mess with the rise of a pant. So sad…had to return my Twig leggings. I do still have the Twig rayon/span skirt and tank…LOVE!!!

I scored an amazing deal on ebay the other day–an AK vintage gold cross similar in size to the large gold cross with the five cabochons. The one I got is matte gold, all the cabochons are black, and the gold is textured/hammered. I’d love to have one in silver like this, and I’m sure the Linea Ladies would also like it in gold. Any chances for this one?
