The PONTE KNIT MAXI SKIRT,  A239318, is coming at the end of the month, scheduled for Dec 27th ……The color above is HEATHER GREY. The shape of the skirt is known as a TULIP SHAPE……meaning it fits over the hips, gliding over the body and then flares out to the bottom….not TOO MUCH…..enough to give walking room and comfort. This silhouette is perfect with all shapes of jackets and a variety of tops. This is a pull-on skirt….no zippers or buttons. The top of the skirt has a wide contour band similar to the band and construction of the slim ponte pant that sold out and everyone loved…..fingers crossed that it will be reordered for next fall…….The top of the skirt is flat and smooth…..great for over tops and great for tucking in.  Above, I have the skirt shown two  ways….on the extreme  left….it’s with an ivory MOCK NECK , 3/4 SLEEVE WK with ribbed sleeves and bottom band……It’s coming this spring. With that is the LINEA PONTE HOODED BLAZER, A237551, also in the HEATHER GREY. This skirt is a great companion piece to the hooded blazer….the two were meant for each other!………………….The second way I’m showing the grey skirt  is with the POSH KNIT TANK, A238525, and the POSH KNIT CARDIGAN, A238520. I accessorized this look with the new FACETED GLASS BEAD NECKLACE, J278125, and the matching DROP BEAD EARRING, J278127, both in the GREY……………….it really can’t get  more simple than that……or more CHIC……………Unfortunately, this skirt is not avail in petites, but don’t despair…..it is easily shortened without ruining the silhouette……………as a matter of fact there are many lengths I can see this skirt at……2 to 3 inches below the knee….mid calf or anywhere in between mid calf and maxi…….This silhouette works for all lengths. If you own anything in the  FOREST GREEN PONTE KNIT, you know what a marvelous rich color it is! Worn as a suit with the LINEA PONTE TWO WAY ZIP JACKET, A237387, looks just as good as any runway look I’ve seen, and no one…..absolutely no one will believe were you bought it…….Worn with the multi strand gold Linea necklace and the new LINEA GOLD HOOP, coming this spring….. it is a million dollar look…..sophisticated and timeless. Speaking of the FOREST GREEN two way zip jacket. This jacket was “born” from the A230025, two way zip ponte jacket in what I call the TORTOISE pattern jacquard [QVC calls it animal. but my inspiration for the pattern was from the markings on tortoise’s shells]….. 53 out of 54 women highly recommended this jacket, and this was from women of ALL SIZES. YOU asked me to give you the Tortoise jacket in solid colors……and A237387 is it. It has the same silhouette, fit, two way zipper and invisible zippers in the seams where the pocket are. This jacket, due to the two way zipper can be worn many different way…..it’s comfortable and practical…..it works as a suit, shown above or as casual as you want to get…..Worn with  jeans it’s a zillion times better looking than an ordinary zip front sweat shirt…….I digress….. When buying this skirt the important size to look at is the HIP. There is enough stretch in the fabric so you don’t have to worry about that….but you do not want the hip measurement to be too big or the skirt will lose it’s sleek effect. I would say this skirt fits like most of my other Ponte skirts so order accordingly. One of the best things about this FOREST GREEN is….it goes with everything…..it’s actually a very neutral color…. If you want to go for the Town & Country look mix it with warm earth tones……camel, sienna, caramel, topaz, walnut, burnt orange etc…….or………jewel tones such as VIOLET, FUCHSIA, RUBY,  MALLARD BLUE,  etc…. will give the FOREST GREEN a glamorous spike. Of course, you knew I would have to make avail. such a classic yet dramatic skirt like this in the most important color………………………BLACK…………………………..It works with EVERYTHING….. I just put it with one of my most popular WK sweaters….the A210360….in CADET BLUE and piled on the HAMMERED LINK & MULTI COLOR BEAD NECKLACES in the GUNMETAL COLOR, J284043, and the matching drop bead earring J284042. I really can’t think of any jacket or top this skirt wouldn’t look good with…………..I also think it will be flattering on MOST body types…………..your only decision is ….what length…..don’t let that deter you from a fabulous skirt!….. Let’s talk about the “LINEA PONTE KNIT”. Almost every style I have done in the ponte knit is made from the same Linea Ponte fabric. The TSV ponte jacket with the peplum, the drawstring skirt and matching jacket in Limoges Blue, White, Black and Tangerine, all of the pants and all of the OLO pieces are all made in the same cloth. The only pieces that are a different ponte are one or two dresses, that because of their style, are made in a slightly lighter weight, and of course the jacquard fabrics.. This particular ponte fabric has gotten very good reviews by the majority of women. It is a fabric that travels well and washes well. I have chosen the LINEA PONTE WINE MAXI SKIRT, A239318, to be my last color presented…….because……I wanted to illustrate how VERSATILE a COLOR can be. I know some of you will automatically look for the matching top, but that limits the wide range of possibilities ………so………..I took the exact same accessories…………..THE CROSS NECKLACE in WINE, J271859…………..THE COORDINATING STATION NECKLACE in the same WINE, J271861….. a wine CROCODILE BELT…and dressed the form with the WINE PONTE SKIRT and all the same accessories….except…..I changed the  color and styles of the WK SWEATERS………………The result is the “LOOKS”….look totally different! This, my friends, is an exercise in how to play with………………COLOR………….I used the DARK MALLARD BLUE WK TURTLE NECK, A72448, and the A237387,  TOPAZ SHAWL COLLAR SWEATER, and created two fabulous looks……………………DO NOT BE AFRAID TO MIX COLORS…………….YOU do yourselves a great disservice when you feel insecure unless it matches……..I love that COLUMN OF COLOR as much as you do, but you also want to get as much wear from your clothes as possible……that requires you to MIX as well as MATCH. I can list a slew of colors I would put with this wine skirt but I’d rather hear from you….what colors you would mix with the wine. It doesn’t matter if it’s classic like OLIVE, or outrageous like TURQUOISE………….and I could use the same accessories as I have above and it would all still work….so imagine all the possibilities when you change colors and accessories……………………………………………..the mind boggles……………………………………but that’s the FUN OF DRESSING!!!!!!……………………………………………………………..
