……………Introducing……..BELLA……she is my nephew Chris’ Bernese Mountain Dog……She has the sweetest personality…..The pics to the right are from when she was a puppy, and the one at the left is  her today….She loves watching other animals on TV, and will just sit and stare. She used to bark, but now sits quietly and enjoys it. She loves being with my brother and they have scrambled eggs together for breakfast…..She follows him everywhere. My brother, who never had animals until his grown children started bring them home, has become a softy, and in spite of himself, they all gravitate to him….he loves it!

………………..Angela made me an “uncle” again! He’s a baby Doberman Pincher, and his name is Bodhi…….He’s such a ham already posing with a flower in his mouth………Those EYES!!!

………………………I came across these pictures of my brother Mauro and his beautiful family, and decided to post them……..Across the top is my bro Mauro…..John his oldest son who tragically died in a freak accident at the age of 21…….my SIL Kathy………on the bottom row is Christopher who i took to Africa with me almost two years ago!…….my niece Jeannine……..and the baby of the family Mathew who is now 6’5″!……..They were wonderful children, and now they are terrific adults……..It’s been a fun journey watching them grow, and becoming the terrific individuals they are today.

…………….For my birthday Angela and Chantal sent me this firepit!………..Lou and I set it up Sunday morning, [more Lou than me….I watched] LOL………Now we just have to wait for the evenings to get cool enough, but there has been a sudden cool down here in CT…….I think it’s going to be sooner rather than later. Hopefully, when the girls come and pay me a visit we can sit around the fire, looking at the sea, sipping some very cold Rose!

…………………..Summer is the only time I will make one of my favorite lunches…………..THE TOMATO SANDWICH……….You MUST HAVE good tomatoes and good bread. I get my tomatoes from the Farmer’s Markets around the different towns. They are the only ones that taste the way tomatoes should. The grocery store tomatoes are never the same……The bread is very important! The slices have to be large and without HOLES!…..So many loafs of bread look good, but when you open them, and take out the slices they have huge holes! I’m not paying for holes!…..I usually get Portuguese Bread. The slices are just right, and no holes….I toast the bread, and then SLATHER it with mayonnaise…..lots of mayonnaise!…Place my tomatoes on top…..and add salt and pepper to taste……Voila your sandwich is ready to eat…..I like to have mine with a glass of ice cold lemonade!
