…………………..The first flowers to show their beautiful faces in my garden are the …..ALLIUM….the IRISES…..the PEONIES…….and my ROSE TREES are bursting with flowers……I love to take my morning walk through the garden, tea cup in hand, and talk to my beautiful friends…..They do love to be adored!
…………………………Yesterday evening I attended a memorial for………CONNIE LYNN FRANCIS CIOFFI……….I worked with Connie at Anne Klein for 14 years…….She was in charge of PR, all of my National Ads and look books, was my personal assistant…….and a very dear friend……..Connie passed away one year ago….Her husband, John….organized this memorial for many friends and family who were invited……The group in the photos were of people I worked with at Anne Klein and friends. I haven’t seen them in years!….and it was a wonderful reunion…..From left to right….me….Joseph who was my sales manager……Sweeny a friend…..Ralph was a salesman who had the best sense of humor and a great laugh…..Kathy was a merchandise manager…..and Joe, another friend….We promised to get together!…..John show a beautiful video montage of Connie….it was a beautiful memorial.
………………….I watched the documentary on……ETHEL KENNEDY……..on HBO……………..At first I wasn’t going to watch it, but I got hooked immediately……..WATCH IT!!!!…….Her story and her and Bobby’s story, and the stories that surrounded them……JFK and their ELEVEN children…..it filled my heart……..It was sobering to realize the difference in RFK and JFK….and what we have today……..POLAR OPPOSITES!…….I can only wonder what Robert Francis Kennedy would think of his son RFK Jr. today…..He is everything his dad wasn’t…..I can’t imagine what his siblings think of their brother…..SHAME……is the only word that I can think of…The path he has taken is so different from theirs…..SO DIFFERENT THAN WHAT THEIR FATHER HOPED FOR………..If you want to see a documentary about LOVE….HOPE and CARING for all AMERICANS….this is an important film to see…….I think Ethel Kennedy DESERVES so much more credit than what she was ever given…….Perfect….maybe not, but who is?….She brought her eleven children up practically by herself, and for the most part did an incredible job…….So much loss…..so much tragedy…….so much LOVE.
……………………When you’re cooking for one you really have to be “IN THE MOOD”….you have to be INSPIRED……or else it’s easier to make scrambled eggs or open a can of tuna!….I’m sure many of you know what I mean…..Last night I was in the mood for my…..ITALIAN HOT SAUSAGE…..CHICKEN…..PEPPERS…..and POTATO dish…….It’s really easy….yes you do have to peal and cut the potatoes……cut the sausage and chicken into smaller pieces and slice the peppers……Anything good does take a little effort!…. I cook them in three roasting pans….The chicken and sausage in one…the peppers in another and the potatoes on their own in another…..Just as all three are getting done I put them all together with the chicken and sausage….mix it all up and let it finish cooking….and VOILA…..dinner is served…..and there is plenty left over for another one or two dinners…..It’s so delicious…..and….IT’S VERY ITALIAN!
…………………I always loved to use the very small hand sewn sequins. They gave a lacquered effect……….Christy is wearing a SEQUIN CHEMISE dress in RED….while Giselle is wearing the signature shape of the collection in ACID GREEN sequins….The jewelry was all made out of resin faceted beads……They are timeless dresses that never go out of style……After 31 years, for me, they are just as fresh….just as modern as the first day I showed them……..Jac loved wearing these dresses to different events!
