The “ROBYN” shirt is back!

The ROBYN shirt, A213617,ย  is back…..but many of you know that already!!! I think it’s great that QVC doesn’t hold you back from ordering certain styles before the presentation…so…. many of you have already ordered and are wearing the Robyn shirt. It has taken a full year to bring this shirt back so PLEASE if you really want it…..don’t wait. I will be making a formal presentation of the shirt this Friday on the Morning Show, starting at 6am.

THE STORY: How did this shirt come about? I was on the phone with a dear friend of mine …Robyn. I know Robyn for more years than both of us would like to admit. I hired Robyn years ago to do the runway makeup for my Anne Klein shows….which she continued to do until I left the company. During that time she moved back to Calif. and married a fantastic man name Armando, who also was a famous hair and make up artist. They would both fly in twice a year to do my shows. I must say all of the models loved being made up by them, because they always made them looked beautiful. He has sadly passed, but Robyn continues to be one of California’s premiere makeup artists to the STARS……. So….the shirt……one day we were talking and Robyn said, “you know what I really need!”, I said, “Robyn what do you really need?”. She said, “I need a white shirt, but just not any white shirt….I want a white COTTON classic man’sย  shirt for a woman, with a little stretch and NO polyester! I want it long enough to cover my butt [her words], and I want it to have SHAPE!!! I don’t want a big baggy shirt, but I want to be able to work in it all day long, standing inย  the salon, [she works out of the Sally Hirshberger salon in LA], so it has to be comfortable, but still show my shape. I designed this shirt for Robyn and I think she has a dozen of them in white and I think a half dozen of the navy and chino. I even think she has sold a few at the salon….giving the A number out to her clients…..LOL…. I searched for the right cotton fabric with no success….so I had it made. This shirting has a fine twill construction which give the fabric a little more weight than your average white shirt. It is 98% cotton and 2 % spandex for comfort. It is 27 inches long for an xs and has a shirt tail bottom. For shape I have added princess seams front and back and to give it the extra special menswear detail….I added collar stays to always keep the collar crisp as a shirt collar should be…..no curling! It is cotton so if you choose to launder it…. it will require some pressing…….for me….it’s worth it to have a quality shirt at an UNBELIEVABLE price. You will not find this exact shirt anywhere else. It you are a white or a mens shirt lover……..you will LOVE this shirt as many already have….and I think you may, like Robyn, want multiples…………..love, Louis

    Dear Louis,

Thank you, and please thank Robyn for me for such a wonderful shirt! I got the navy and white last year, and just received a kahki and another white the other day. These are just beautiful!

    Hi Louis!

Good news! QVC re-ordered A87423, your short sleeve mock neck sweater, and in all colors! I’m so happy that QVC really does listen to our suggestions!

    Hi Louis:

I have the “Kate” shirt in blue and white, so now I have ordered the “Robyn” shirt in the khaki. For me this will be perfect for ‘casual Fridays’ at work and for weekends! It’s good that QVC lets us order before the airing ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Best,

As Louis says, “Who wouldn’t want to look like that?”. I have the Robyn in navy and chino and have the white coming. I agree with Carol, that whatever color this shirt comes in, I’m getting. I just can’t say enough good things about this blouse. I will say though that I did have to size down before I got to experience just how wonderful this shirt is; I originally ordered it in my regular size and was so disappointed because I thought there was something wrong with ME and my body, as I wasn’t experiencing what everybody else seemed to be experiencing with the blouse. I took a chance and sized down and then I “got it”! Just sharing this in case others experience the same thing that I did. I almost gave up and chalked it up to my figure but then decided to try a smaller size and that made all the difference. Anyway, thanks for such a wonderful shirt and for showing us all the fabulous ways we can wear it.

Hello Louis – This is my first Robyn and I cannot wait to receive. Since I ordered the White and Navy in the Lily, I chose the white and Khaki in the Robyn. I was just complaining to myself that I didn’t have a button down shirt that I could wear belted with a tank on the weekends. Lo and behold, I’ve found the perfect one!!! Thanks so much, I’m sure I’ll love as much as these stylin’ Linea Ladies. Oh, and that belt is to die for………I so NEED it ๐Ÿ™‚

      Dear Pixie66,
I am sure you will love the Robyn shirt….it sounds just what you are looking for…..Isn’t the belt great….it was something I did at Anne Klein many moons ago and still looks fabulous. The horse harness type belts never go out of style. It’s too bad no one makes these kinds of belts…..they really fill a huge void……………..regards, Louis

        Dear Louis,

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you could bring us a small, select line of high fashion Belts?!? We plus size ladies especially, can never find a great belt … sigh, wishful thinking I suppose, but a girl can dream … I fell in love with that black suede one outlined in patent … ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Louis — I adore the way you’ve styled each Robyn shirt with a scarf, particularly the chino/lime combination. Are those cotton scarves? cotton/linen? viscose? I often wear my Robyn/Kate shirts with a silk scarf tied at the neck. But, I’d love to replicate this cool look for spring/summer. Many thanks!

      Hi TourEiffel,
I don’t remember the yarn content and I took the labels off long ago. They were very inexpensive. I think some were from Macy’s and maybe even Forever 21. They were VERY big and I had them cut in half and re-hemmed……so now I have two of each…………….regards, Louis

      1. TourEiffel

Thanks, Louis! Information appreciated. In searching online for colorful scarves I saw some that are quite huge. So, great idea to cut in half. Looking forward to your upcoming shows!

  7. Kate

Well I have six of this shirt already but one more can’t hurt. The khaki looks lovely. I will order now because I know my size is adios on Friday morning!

  8. Sharon Santourian-Holman

Well I have ordered my first Robyn and hope I enjoy it as much as everyone says they do.

I love this shirt and now own 4 in navy-2 white and 2 of the new khaki. Mr. Louis this would make a perfect TSV and pink and burgundy as additional colors would be fanTabulous. Keep bringing these classy classics. Fondly, coco

  10. Carol

Whatever color this blouse comes in, I’m getting. This shirt and jeans are all a girl needs to live in. Not that I’m ever going to limit myself to that, but if I had to, I could.

Thanks, Louis, for this wonderful shape and fabric.
