March “SNEAK PEEK #2”

Sneak Peek # 2 is style A222275. This is a poly/span t-shirt which is the exact same fabric and fit as the cheetah t-shirt A214114. The print is Pucci inspired, but was designed and sketched by me…….my ode to Pucci. The color names are simply BLUE, PINK and YELLOW, but they are anything but simple. In each print there are 5 colors plus white. The blue has 5 shades of blue from the palest blue, CHAMBRAY BLUE, as the new boho skirt, to my dark navy. The pink ranges from wine and red to PERFECTLY PINK, again a perfect match to the P.P. boho. The yellow has a wonderful mixture of the palest lemon, pure yellow and TOBACCO. For all of you that already own the tobacco side zip Capri pants or the two tiered yellow georgette skirt from last spring…….the colors are great together. This is a fun print to wear with your new jeans or under your navy blazer with the gold buttons or your ivory blazer with the pearl buttons and your Linea navy acrylic/wool knit skirt [as in photo]. There are many things in your closet that will look great with these tops. Wash and wear…..easy care….great travel pieces! I want you to know these are “random cut” so no two t-shirt with be exactly alike…..it really doesn’t matter they all look great. I think this is the perfect piece to perk up your spring/summer wardrobes. Take a good peek and see if it is something you would enjoy wearing……….Love, Louis

Louis, will the blue coordinate with the new chambray boho? I love the bohos and was excited to get the new chambray, but it sees a bit different shade than just about any other blue in my closet – and I have a lot of blue! I so hope this works with it! Thanks!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Susie,
The blue chambray boho does work with this print as well as the “Kate” shirt in chambray blue, which will be back in July.

Oh Louis…these tops are lovely…I adore print tops for spring/summer. I have your other print tops in the same fabric and adore them. I also love colorful summer pants even pants in colorful prints…the Q had a designer, now gone, who sold her designs under the name Lilly and Van (she was Lilly P’s goddaughter). I bought up one of each one of her print pants and cardigans….I am a neutual girl mostly, but have loved that company’s print cardigans and print cropped pants for summer…flipping through my vogue, saw Alexander Wang has loads of print pants this season. I know everybody doesn’t love them…but they are so crisp and comfortable on a hot summer day. Loving the sneaks!

      Dear Victoria,
I totally agree with you. I love print slim crop pants too and I have made samples for QVC but it seams they always get passed by…..Maybe this coming spring I’ll be able to get one through.

  3. Kate

I just love the yellow option and will be scooping it up asap.

  4. Sherry

So, I have the red crepe skirt and the ivory/red piped pants…guess that means I “need” the red one….It’s so good to need things. (LOL) Thanks Louis, these are beautiful.

    1. Sherry

Just looking at the yellow….is that espresso in the mix….how about paired with the new espresso knit pants?

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

        Dear Sherry,
Good eye……yes it is espresso and the espresso jersey pant [same fabric] will definitely work as the navy pant will work with the blue t-shirt option.

Hi, Louis! So much temptation…Does the pink work with the ivory piped with red ankle pants and jacket from last year? Thanks so much!

Grrrreat!!!!! My wood block blouse in black just arrived. Old Grumpy stuck his head in the door when I was trying it on and pronounced that he LOVES IT on me! Makes my life so much easier as he loves Linea on me and I don’t have to hear his complaints on how I spend my money :-). I credit you with his new-found interest in buying clothes for himself! Now if it gets out of hand….

I love everything you make in this jersey. The colors are so vivid, the drape is so nice and it’s super-packable. It’s your Blue Ribbon Jersey! LOL. I’m getting every color. The red and the blue are required must buys for the red and navy crepe pieces and the yellow for my peasant skirt and tobacco crops. I have two pairs of the those tobacco crops I love them that much.

Gorgeous! Pucci inspired, absolutely. But, also reminds this Francophile of the prints I love — Souleiado, Les Olivades and others — from the south of France! Merci!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

You are absolutely correct…the little floral medallion in the print is very Souleiado inspired……AHHHH the south of France, what a wonderful thought. Very dear friends of Jac and I live in Aix [not sure if that’s spelled correctly]. They keep inviting us to visit. Maybe when we go to QVC London this May or August we will take some time for a side trip and visit them……..regards, Louis

      1. TourEiffel

AHHHH the south of France is right!! You really must visit your friends in Aix-en-Provence this year! Great outdoor markets, relaxed atmosphere, delicious brasserie food, easy driving to nearby towns. To get you in the mood, you might consider reading “A Year in Provence” and other books by Peter Mayle. Start planning now! You’ll be happy you did!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Thank you I have read them all quite a few years ago….I don’t need much to get me in the mood….just TIME!

          1. TourEiffel

            No time like the present!

  8. Chris/Jazzmom

All your jersey tops are terrific for travel and to wear. Love the red and blue!!Are those red crop pants I see? 🙂

    1. Debbie M

      I saw that too.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

      Yes Chris,
They are vintage Linea poly/rayon/span gab Capri pants. They came in off white black and the red. When I did them they were a slow seller. I never understood why because I thought they were the perfect “dress” Capri pants. Not super casual and very sleek. They eventually sold out so if there are women who still own them………..that’s what is in the photo. I get a little gun shy about doing pants in colors as they never seem to sell…..black, navy, khaki, white chino….etc……it’s the neutrals that are always the colors that sell and the “fashion colors lag behind”. Even the tobacco pant in the photo was a difficult sell and only sold out on clearance…..however, the women who have them love them and have come to realize just how much fun and versatile wearing a color pant can be. Most women will wear these tops with white, navy, black and jeans. I did butter yellow crops years ago that would also work. I’m sure they are still in good condition…How are you liking this glorious weather? All I can see from my office windows, looking over the sound…is FOG!…..regards, Louis

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

It’s not raining here and that is a plus!! Despite the warm temps, I want some sun!
I would definitely wear red— hint hint! :)But I do have the piped pants in red/white and pink/navy so that will go with these Pucci inspired tops.
        Enjoy the weekend,
        Chris
