“THE IRIS PEBBLE CREPE TUNIC”

JP

……………………………..PEBBLE CREPE, as a fabric, has become a Linea favorite. I have used this fabric many times over the years, and I always try to add one or two pieces each season. This summer it will be one new piece….the BUTTON FRONT SLEEVELESS TUNIC, A276300……………The top has a scoop neckline and a button front. The buttons are all REAL ABALONE SHELL!…..The tunic also has PATCH POCKETS and a band inserted into the patch for entry. There are also side slits……..There is a back yoke and a top stitched center back seam for added detail…….The tunic is approx. 28 1/2 inches for the XXS…………….For those of you who are new to PEBBLE CREPE it is a fabric with a pebbled uneven surface giving it a casual look. It has a wonderful drape and does NOT CLING……..It is LIGHT WEIGHT……..It is a COOL fabric, and that is why I believe it has reached the popularity that it has………………..The colors always dye very saturated as is the new……IRIS above. Really what more can you ask from a summer garment……………COOL and COMFORTABLE…………..and easy care TOO……..With such an uncomplicated simple top…..accessories are mandatory…….This tunic can take a statement piece, and I have chosen the very modern, Dingle Dangle necklace, J325473 in SILVER, along with the SILVER BOLD HOOP, J288005………….The IVORY WK PENCIL SKIRT, A273380 is the perfect Ivory skirt to go with the tunic. The WK pencil skirt has done very well this season and there are a few left in the larger sizes only. I have read all of the reviews on the skirt and they are all five star except for two which I would like to address. They both agreed they loved the fabric the weight and the colors…The mutual problem seems to be that both found that between the waistband and the high hip there was extra fabric that pouched out. Since no one else had this problem the only explanation I can give is that the skirt was too small in the hip forcing the skirt to rise up to wear it is a larger measurement therefore pushing this excess fabric up causing it to pouch out. I would bet if they went up a size this problem would disappear……..I can say this is the best WK skirt I have ever done, and that’s saying something. Because I did the skirt in the MILANO KNIT, which is much more dense, but less stretchy than the ENR, enables me to offer a WK skirt in pale colors without any see through or need to wear anything else under it. This less stretchy knit can also be the reason the women who had a problem would need to size up one size. I really think larger women would be very surprised how flattering this skirt is on…..It’s the dense Milano Knit that does the trick!……………………If this top is as popular as all of the Pebble Crepe pieces I have offered before….I don’t expect it to last long………………..enjoy……….much Love…………………………..Louis

Louis, this top has already been posted on QVC along with the moss crepe pants and top and novelty top. Their pictures do not do justice to these beautiful items.

They rarely do…..that’s the main reason I started my sneak peeks…….when I saw the QVC photos for most of the items I was horrified. How do you like the photo of the moss crepe tunic with the high low hem in the black, lt. khaki and slate blue? It looks nothing like the top and if I were a customer I would pass it right by.

    Thank you
