Byzantine Jewelry

I thought I’d post the picture of the Byzantine jewelry again since all of the new pieces [except the reorder of the cross and station necklace] are now avail. for purchasing on line. I can’t tell you how pleased I am with how each piece came out. When I started doing the jewelry for QVC, I was really dreading the idea that I was going to have to compromise with the design and quality to meet the desired price points, but I am pleased to say with a lot of HANDS ON and sacrifice …….on my and my manufacturers part, I have managed to get exactly what I wanted. Of course, the original large quilted beads and some of the others beads in the original  necklace were made out of Murano glass…….but that necklace was also$400 and that was 15 years ago. Believe me when I say , from looking at them, you can’t tell the difference.  I am very excited about the new Byzantine earrings….the three for one…… a button, a Baroque pearl drop and a matching color drop. If you get two colors…..even more combinations. Since the floral maxi sold out before I had a chance to present it this past Friday, I want you to know I had planned  multiples of the station and bead necklaces on each model along with the cross….it looked incredible! These pieces are also going to look incredible with all the new offerings I have around the bend for Fall. These beads on the new tweeds….yes you read that right…..TWEEDs….looks sensational! When Jac and I were in Paris she wore the whole Byzantine set with the earrings out to dinner. A lovely “French” woman sitting at the table next to us bent over to tell Jac what beautiful jewelry she was wearing. I have to say we were really taken off guard. Another evening, wearing the same jewelry. a very chic American lady form S. Carolina did the same thing….it was very gratifying…………don’t wait too long or you will be waiting even longer ….if you know what I mean…LOL

Love the new earrings and bought all 3 colors. Would definitely be interested in a gold pearl square with a black or gold fluted drop. Maybe even a navy square with a navy drop or even a Tahitian black pearl gold rimmed square with a Tahitian black pearl drop. The possibilities are endless! 🙂

Hi Chris……so glad to hear you love the earrings. I know the possibilities are endless. Please don’t forget to post your reviews on the Linea QVC site. It’s important that other women know how you like them. If it all sells well then I can bring more new in.

        Dear louis,

I could kick myself for not ordering your print maxi dress A224712. Would love it in all 3 colors. Any chance there will be a reorder this season?
I would need a medium. Please Please bring it back ASAP.

Hi, Louis! My green and my purple earrings arrived today and I am very happy with them. Just what we needed to wear with our beautiful Byzantine necklaces. But I have a question. The little hook on the back of the earring is VERY close to the back of the earring and I am reluctant to switch out the drops out of fear that the strain on it will cause the hook to break off. Any pointers for us? I will also ask a friend who owns a jewelry store and will share anything helpful she might tell me. Thanks so much! Barbara

Dear Barbara, the hook in the back is supposed to be close so the drop does not fall off….however, it should not be so tight that it s difficult to get the drops on and off. Are the hooks on both sets of earrings exactly the same. If you are very worried you may snap it off, then take it to your friend and get their opinion if it can be opened slightly.

They are both the same, Louis. They are pretty tight on my earrings and I don’t want to put any more force than I have already tried on the drops to change them. I am afraid of damaging either the finding on the drop or the little hook. I will ask my friend. I have had other drops come off their hooks, including on the dance floor! Thanks again! Barbara

OK, I took a teeny instrument and opened the little hook just a bit and my earrings now work as you describe the way they should work. There is no stress either on the hook or on the findings of the drops. Don’t think I will leave any drops on the dance floor!!! It looks like something may have gone awry in the manufacturing process. Like whoever attached the colored drop then pushed the hook back to be virtually flush with the back of the earring. They are grrrreat now! As always, Barbara

    Louis,

I have all the chain hoops now, and all the Byzantine pieces–with the earrings winging their way to me. I’m planning to use the green and purple earrings for the Lana dresses I’m getting.

I was wondering if we could get, at some future time, a pearl “top” piece with maybe a black drop or a gold fluted drop? Then we could wear all pearl if we chose, etc. Just an idea…….

I am so hoping they continue to let you expand the jewelry line. I’m so happy with every piece I have received. Then we want a jewelry show so you don’t have to feel like a carnival barker, and finally a jewelry TSV!

I’m late to the banquet on these sumptuous-looking pieces and cannot wait until they begin arriving. I purchased all the earrings and two necklaces (one is waitlisted). I could not help myself. Normally, I don’t weaken for such unchecked self-indulgence. Count me as an A-No. 1 fan of this look. The collection captures a certain “heavy” richness that I am unable to describe adequately. Luxurious, jewel-toned, seriously elegant. (I tried.)
