Morning Everyone!!!

What a morning!!!! We made it home safe and sound. Jac drove most of the way because I just couldn’t keep my eyes open and then when Jac was driving I couldn’t sleep????.
As I said “WHAT A MORNING!” At 2;30am I find out the stylist assigned to my show had a medical emergency and wouldn’t be able to run the show….PANIC TIME! Of course who are they going to find at 2:30am to come in for a 4am Sunday morning show! To make a long story short. Holly, one of the young ladies at the front desk, called the Operations Desk, was assigned to help. She had never done this before, so I gave her a crash course in how to put on a show….I felt like Mickey Rooney! Clothes still had to be pressed and I went over with her which models had to share which clothes, belts accessories etc…..it can be very daunting for a seasoned stylist let alone for a novice. Thank goodness Staci Dickerson, the tall African American model was there and volunteered to help with the show….what a trooper! She knows what needs to happen to keep a show running smoothly. So, we had a meeting with all the models, Angela, Kate, Chantal Maria, Brenda and my Jac, to let them know what was going on and everyone helped. The show went on without a hitch. I am extremely organized and there is little guess work.Every outfit is sketched out and each model has an accessory bag with a sketch of each outfit so she knows exactly how I want her to look. I always assign what model I want wearing which outfit, so a lot of the work is preplanned. It’s really a matter of getting the models dressed and out in time and make sure they are wearing the right outfit for the sell being presented. This was the second time I have worked with Jennifer and she is a lovely woman. Again, I want to thank Staci, Holly and all the models for a job well done………Now..on to PreFall and Fall. I will have a FULL schedule with lots and lots of wonderful new things. A whole new program of Whisper Knit Essentials in all new colors plus many of your favorites are coming back….and yes the classic cardigan from last fall is coming back too! The clothes are looking GREAT and the fabrics are gorgeous! I really can’t wait to bring it all to you!…………….much Love, Louis

Thank you and the staff for putting on such a wonderful show for us to enjoy. I didn’t see the presentation of my butterfly cardigan last time. I love the olive/mustard/aqua color combination in the one I own. What a vibrant, upscale, unique mix.

Can you give us a hint what the new colors in the v-neck whisper knits will be for budgeting purposes? Thanks so much!

I love the butterfly cardigan and I think each color combination came out beautiful, but we all have our favorites and the olive is mine too.

Really enjoyed your shows. Being a night owl, I can handle a 1 am show, although I did doze off a few times. Fortunately it was on my DVR, so I could back up and resume when that happened. I love seeing the different combos I can make with my Linea garments. Since I owned most everything you showed, I couldn’t buy anything. But I am super-excited about the coming jewelry!
Thanks for your effort to make your shows so enjoyable. You always inspire me to look my best.

    Hi Louis:

I love to read about “behind the scenes drama”, and when you know the models and the designer, it makes you feel like you are a part of it. Of course none of the scramble was evident from the other side of the camera. We just experienced a smooth presentation. That is because you are all such professionals!!!

    Show well done ;-))

Thanks for letting us know what goes on behind the scenes. It’s all so interesting how involved the work is getting everyone ready.

So glad your emergency was rescued through your thorough planning and some great help! That’s when such diligent planning really comes into play.

I await those luscious fall colors and fabrics with baited breath … and anxiously stalk those wonderful sneak peeks LOL!

Meanwhile, I’m off to the nursing home to visit my Dad, meeting my grandson there, and when he gets bored, take him to feed carrots to a camel … in my crops and aqua blue boatneck tunic … just perfect for today, thanks to you 🙂

    Louis,

I am thrilled to learn that the whisper knit cardigans will be coming back. They are such essential, quality pieces that I had to lobby the buyers for a reorder and new colors and rallied the troops on the Q forum with a thread specifically calling for their return. Glad our pleas were heard. Can’t wait to see the fall line up and what you have in store for us. Such great news!

    Dear Louis,

I don’t know how you get up with the roosters and then pull off a brilliant show. Not only was it mighty early in the morning, but you were thrown some unforeseen challenges. Smart boy, being as organized as you are. I cheated and looked at my recording of the show, but I was left with no choices for the couple items I wanted to order. Today’s jewelry sneak peek tantalized me wickedly. Will the new pieces be “kissin’ cousins” of the black bead and goldtone necklace (J153875) and bracelet (J154281)? The quick glimpses of the new adornments suggested that they were derived from that very rich combo of black and gold. It would be wonderful to mix them all up.

I watched much of the show, very bleary-eyed. I already had many things in the show so didn’t buy anything new. I was going to call in to give a testimonial on what I already had and to say “Hi” to you and Jac, but thought better of it, as groggy as I was :-). I found the tape with the new gold/black jewelry, but couldn’t find the tape where you showed the new love knot necklaces. Which garment did you show them with? The chain-print jacket video is also on the “blue skies” blazer so I am thinking it was that one. I thought that the show went wonderfully well with Jennifer!

Looking forward to the summer items coming up and of course the whisper knit items coming in fall!!
As my DH would say: You done good!

Someone set off 5 firecrackers outside at 4:15 AM which woke me up. So I enjoyed the show. The models looked incredible as always. I am looking forward to the new season and the new jewelry. I hope you and Jac can enjoy the rest of this beautiful day!

I had no idea you sketched everything out in that detail. Even though there was nothing ‘new’ I bought a few things I missed the first time around: the light colored sequin detail dress (which looked amazing on the host); the butterfly sweater in olive; and the chain skirt in pink (of course, I already have the other colors). Super excited about the new jewelry (love me some love-knots) and all the fab fall fashions!

It was a great show, Louis! Your preplanning made it all that much easier for those gals who had to “step up and carry on”. No one would have suspected until you gave your kudos to them at the end of the show! I wish they wouldn’t give you these crazy hours…but I’m thankful that you HAVE hours! Can’t wait for your fall collection…and beautiful jewelry(always enjoy the “sneak peeks”). May Jac and you enjoy the rest of your summer.
