“THE INDIGO FLORAL & BUTTERFLY TOP & SKIRT”

Q1,201810

……………………..For this show I am offering one print……….I call it the FLORAL & BUTTERFLY print……….It is reminiscent of all the Delft Vases and Ginger Jars that Jac and I have collected over the years. Many from our trips to the Netherlands and Amsterdam, one of our most favorite cities in the world.. It is a substantial fabric……similar to the handkerchief tunic fabric, but by no means is it heavy, but it will hide any imperfections….. The top has PRINCESS SEAMING, front and back, for a body skimming fit. It is shaped but not fitted. I would call it SEMI FITTED…….It has a FAUX WRAP FRONT, and the two fronts are connected only where the tie is inserted on the right side. There is also a tie coming from the same side inserted in the back princess seam……so the look is as if you wrapped and tied it yourself, but it is all done for you…..you only have to slip it on and take the two straps and tie them WITH A ONE SIDED LOOP……Look CLOSELY at the photo…..You may have to practice tying it until you get the hang of it. By tying it you can also give the top a more fitted look if you so desire. The sleeves are longish. I say longish because the bottom is slanted not straight…..slightly longer in the back than in the front. There are many CONTRAST FACINGS on this top. The entire neckline, and front wrap, the tie and the sleeve bottom are faced in a contrast color…..in this case the blue. If you wish you can casually turn the sleeve back to create a cuff….NOTICE that the top panel is SLIGHTLY LONGER than the under panel…..This is not a mistake….it was designed to be this way….It is sized from xxs to 3x…..In the photo above I am showing the top with a pair of indigo jeans……..The FABULOUS necklace is also new this season…..I call it my COZUMEL necklace which also comes with a double bead earring. The beads are made of COPPER COATED resin and then plated in SILVER OX for an “antiqued look”. The necklace is made up with a series of IRREGULAR SHAPED ROUND BEADS and one LARGE DISC asymmetrically placed…..It is actually very light in weight and comfortable to wear….The beads are tied and hand knotted together with a cord which also helps to reduce the weight. It is a truly unique and fabulous piece…..a true BOUTIQUE item.

……………………….The wrap skirt in the print is a normal pull-on skirt, and is also sizes xxs through 3x. It has a REAL WRAP FRONT, but it is stitched down approx. 11 inches….so there is no possibility of it flying open, or opening when you sit. The wrap is also faced with the blue solid contrast color…..The skirt is approx. 29, 29 1/2 inches long, which I would consider a midi length. The skirt is unlined. There truly is no need for one……….I have layered my sleeveless WK SHELL, A287618, in Ivory, under a new top. The Indigo ruffle bottom rayon jersey top……Sneak peek to come……If you like try some fun color tees or tanks with the skirt…..PLAY…….If you are so inclined you can certainly wear the print top and print skirt together as a two piece dress…..Worn together or strictly as separates there are lots of possibilities to extend your wardrobe…………Style numbers for the print top are…………….A302560,………. and for the skirt…..A302561…………..

…………………………..enjoy…………………Much Love………………………………Louis

Gorgeous blue prints! (And I’m a “blue girl” most of the time, too.) You have shown so many beautiful items that I want to purchase, but on a retirement budget I will have to narrow down my list. Thank you so much for these great photos and descriptions you always give us. Looking forward to seeing you once again on QVC! You are in our prayers and thoughts each day even if we’ve never met in person.

For me…..I feel like I know you all. I wish you could post pictures of yourselves….Maybe on my facebook page?

Hi Louis, I love this print and especially the blue facings. From the rear, is it a straight hem? Thanks! Love coming to you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Trish….the back is straight. It is only at the end bottom of the front panel that the hem dips a little.

Please bear with me as I am a bit confused as to which are sneak peeks and which are previews of Tuesday night’s show offerings. Do you mind clarifying? I’m recovering from the third virus I’ve causght since Jac…and I’ve been down for the count most of the past week+. The only good thing is having slept through the third anniversary of losing my mother. I like this top very much. My mom planted butterfly-attracting plants and flowers often.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Rochelle……all of the sneak peeks are for the Jan 31st, 1:00am show. I will not be participation on the Tuesday QVC2 show. It will just be the host, who I believe will be Jill Bower.

    Louis,
Wow, what a lovely surprise! I thought I had made my purchase decisions-navy cardigan, tank and wk short sleeve sweater, ivory pants suit and blue and white tees. But, I can’t resist this outfit. I also have a blue and white collection and enjoy my pieces as well. Thanks for making the skirt longer. I love everything about this.
I am thinking about you preparing for your show. Have a safe trip and will “see you” soon.

I love Delftware and your interpretation is wonderful! Perchance, does the fabric have some stretch to it? The Cozumel and Cancun necklaces are fabulous too. It all looks very resort chic and I’m ready for it!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Ruth the fabric is 100% polyester. It has no spandex but the woven fabric has natural stretch

  6. Carol

Louis, is this a stretch polyester woven fabric? Beautiful print!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Carol, the fabric is woven, no spandex, but it has natural stretch.

What are the item numbers? These are a must buy for me. WooHoo

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Oops…..I just added them to the post……A302560 is the print top, and A302561 is the print skirt.

Loving this and the Cozumel necklace.

How dare I ever say I am a non-print woman. One quick glance at my closets shows that I have a passion for nearly everyone of your prints. Okay, I’ve always loved paisleys, but you took me beyond to my first geometric prints, etc., since my fine days in the late 1960s to the early ’80s.

      1. Goldie76

        …every one of your prints…

Been feeling icky lately and am making errors.

No matter what, this is one fabulous outfit, Louis.

Best of luck on your “Late Show”, Louis! Like so many others, I’ll be cheering you on and thinking good thoughts.
