“SNEAK PEEK #4”

“Sneak Peek #4” is one of my most favorite pieces of the collection. It is my REAL LEATHER and RIB KNIT combination BLAZER. The style number is………..A228554……..the colors………..BLACK……….TARRAGON………….

The quality of the leather is superb and feels like soft glove leather. The styling is CLASSIC with a TWIST. This is a three button jacket, BOUND BUTTON HOLES of course. There are two patch pockets with flaps that are DOUBLE ENTRY, which means when you raise the flap  and you can get into the patch pocket…..or……..you can enter the pocket from the side. This is an extra detail that has become a SIGNATURE  LINEA element. The jacket has a beautifully PROPORTIONED collar and lapel. What really gives it the newness and separates it from all other leather blazers is the rib knit. The sleeves are rib knit so there are no worries about shortening…..just roll them once or twice for a cuff effect….or push them up a little and show the white cuff of you “KATE” shirt. From the PRINCESS SEAMS in the front…..to the leather panel in the back……..it is all rib knit. A more comfortable jacket in leather…. you will never find. The knit also adds another interesting texture and contrast to the leather that truly makes it look like a “DESIGNER JACKET”, and stands apart from any other leather blazer. It can go very casual as you can see in the photo at the top  center. There you see the Tarragon jacket with the Tarragon crew neck tunic and a pair of jeans…..[don’t worry about the sweater coming below the jacket…..it’s supposed to], add a pair of boots and a shoulder bag and you are set…….or change it up with the Tarragon crepe shirt and Tarragon WK pant and you are ready for the office, a lunch date or dinner with your special someone…….there’s also a picture of the same outfit with the Tarragon pleated skirt. Naturally the Tarragon will mix with many color bottoms…..black, charcoal grey, navy and the new walnut…..just to name a few. This is a jacket that you can create many different outfits with. Depending on your mood….. you can go from “TOUGH CHIC”….black jacket, black turtle neck, black pencil skirt, black tights and shoe booties……don’t forget the black sunglasses………to “BOHO CHIC”….. Tarragon jacket, a color turtle of your choice and a boho skirt, printed [think black or olive paisley] or a solid…. such as the new CHILI PEPPER and TAUPE with either color jacket. You can even wear it dressy with my sequin cowl neck sleeveless top, a pair of black jeans, and sky high heels. There is no limit how you can wear this one jacket! I rarely do leather pieces…….good quality leather is getting more and more expensive and you are seeing less and less of suede and leather on the Q. This is the one and only piece of leather , or suede, I will be doing for the entire fall/winter season…..so I hope you like it and take advantage of it…………..One warning…….lock the jacket up when you are not wearing it or your daughters with be wearing it for you!!!!!!!!!!……………………………………………………………………………….ENJOY, much Love………….Louis

Hello Louis, I love this jacket and am seriously contemplating getting both colors. JUST love it. How would you style the taupe boho with the tarragon jacket. What color turtlenck would you put it with. I love the 2 items, however i cannot imagine how to put them together, Thanks for your input

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I was actually thinking the taupe boho with the black jacket not the Tarragon. I think the chili pepper boho can work with both color jackets.

      1. nikki

Thanks, for your input, I guess the pale olive shirt, chilipepper boho and the tarragon jacket,WOuld that work? any turtle necks to pull the look with the tarragon? THankyou once again

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

That would work a n Olive turtle neck would work. The aubergine turtleneck would work with the olive boho

Dear Louis: Perfect blazer to wear to our “Protect Our Wild Mustangs” meeting in October. It doesn’t look too fitted but will follow the lines of the body and I LOVE the length. Don’t like short jackets with “stuff” showing beneath it. The tarragon is beautiful and will go fast – hope Q ordered enough so all will have the chance to strut your beautiful blazer. The walnut WK pants and my walnut colored boots will be great with it. Just in time, again.

This jacket is sooooo good. I’m going for the tarragon myself. I have seen leather mixed with other textures everywhere this fall. It’s a trend that I really like. I have several of your leather/suede and knit pieces and what I like most about them is the COMFORT. Can’t wait to get this home!

In a word.. STUNNING! What a gorgeous ADD to your line. I normally wear an XS or S in your line, but lean toward the S in the jackets. Should we stay true to what we normally order for this one? THANK YOU.
Louis do you have a style number for the new long WK sweater you’ll be introducing on the 10th? I will be GLUED to the TV, but would prefer to get a jump start on purchasing a few things prior to the show so that I can get my size and color.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Are you talking about Sneak Peek #3? It’s 29 inches long for the xs.

THanks so much… that’s the piece. I’m off to see if it’s available yet. I already have your new tarragon tweed blazer in my cart! All the best for a successful sell out show. We love you.

DELICIOUS, LUXE, OUTSTANDING GORGEOUSNESS IN A JACKET.

Love the flattering princess seaming, subtle gleem of the leather, ease of movement while your driving due to the knit (is it whisper knit or every needle knit?)
Just a friend we’ll have forever in our wardrobes. I’ve heard of comfort food, and THIS is “comfort clothing.”

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Neither….It’s a special yarn and rib I use for leather and suede garments.

    Very nice!!

  8. Deedy

Louis — this leather jacket is fantastic. I feel a Tarragon attack coming on — the sweater to be sure and maybe the pleated skirt as well! Looking forward to Monday.

Wow! Thank you so much for the sneak peak and for the jacket! It is going to be a favorite I can tell! This is the one that that many of us have been waiting for. Is it semi-fitted, fitted or relaxed? Your designs just keep getting better all the time!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I would say, due to the rib knit it’s more semi fitted, but it definitely has shape. You really can’t force rib knit to shape much.

    Oh Louis

just looking at this picture give me “the vespers” LOL can’t wait I just don’t know how you do your magic and keep designing these fabulous pieces !!Now I have a question..Is this jacket fitted? I am between a large and XL also have lost some weight this summer and plan to lose a bit more..should I go with the large ? do you think the leather will stretch a bit? Also your WK pants …is the sizing the same as the pants that went with the tribal top? those ran a bit large on me and I needed to exchange for a smaller size.

Thank you Louis can’t wait for your show

    Vicki

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

If you plan to wear the jacket more open or keep just the top button buttoned, which I prefer….then go with the large. The leather has natural give, but you do not want to stretch it too much. What has the comfort stretch is all the rib knit. I would not compare the WK pant to the pant you mentioned. I really don’t want to advise on fit because everyone likes their clothes to fit differently. I have been told they are running true to size. If you got the drawstring pant and liked the size then that’s what you should order.

      1. Toni Fisher

Louis: During the drawstring pant presentation, you asked the models about their size and they all said, they sized up, even Jac. They were wearing small vs. x-small. You said during the presentation, that you would size up for a more comfy style. What do you think?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

That was strictly my personal preference. I like the “paper bag” drawstring look, which means the bat looks bigger than what you would necessarily wear, Many women do not like or understand this look because they think it makes them look heavier…..I think it makes the look more relaxed. If you like a more trim look, stay with you size……but I like them a little on the loose baggy side…..again….personal preference……I don’t think going up one size will make a huge difference.

          1. Toni Fisher

Thank you Louis, I agree, I like baggy also. Watched Fashion Night Out on Q tonight and I really think you top all the designers.

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Toni…..I appreciate your vote of confidence. I think the Q uses the word “designer” very loosely. I have been trained and have worked with the best of the best people, craftsmen, and technicians. The fabric manufactures, printers etc., have taught me much during the 40 years I have been in the business. I think I have earned the word “Designer”.

            2. Nancy

You haven’t just “earned” that word Louis, though I always appreciate your humble way of understatement, you EMBODY the term! And I think it is obvious to a whole lot of your loyal Linea fans.

            3. Lenora

I agree! You seem to be the only one who understands the meaning of “collection” and not just a bunch of ramdom pieces that have no relation to each other and cannot be built upon. Mr Costa also brought beautiful items to QVC and I see he’s gone, too, to make room for these dreadful reality “stars” whose only claim to fame are their drama-ridden lives, not the hard work and training required when you were first starting.

I had a pair of Anne Klein wedge espadrilles from your time there that had squared toes and the lion’s head embroidered on them, and I WORE them out! They were gorgeous, just like all you do now.

            4. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Lenore, I remember those wedges well. The lion was Anne Klein’s Logo…..she was a Leo. That was quite a few years ago….but who’s counting!

  11. marcia29

Oh…and I will buy one in black for my daughter. She will wear it totally differently yet love it equally as much, for sure.

  12. marcia29

Oh Louis, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your new jacket! I live in a somewhat warmer climate and now I can truly wear a leather jacket. I know I will often choose to roll up the sleeves so that I can show off my Linea bracelets and watches. I will “cowgirl” it up with western boots and hat. I will soften it with perfectly pink pieces, or your suggestion of the paisley bohos. Oh, yes, so many ways to wear it. This will be my very first leather jacket and I am supremely excited and grateful!
