“OCTOBER SNEAK PEEK # 6”

“October Sneak Peek # 6”, is my STRETCH VELVET LONG SKIRT, A228337. It is the same print, colors, [Walnut, Tarragon and Black], and fabric as the A228336, velvet top. The skirt is 33 inches long and has a slight A-Line shape…..not too much, just enough to be able to take a good stride without the need of a slit. It has a FULL ELASTIC WAIST BAND, so it has no zipper….just pull in on. This skirt has ALL the attributes of the velvet top…..it works with the tweeds…. plus sweaters and jackets you may already own. It can be casual with boots and a jean jacket…..somewhat more dressy with a leather or suede jacket and dressier still when worn with the matching top for a two piece dress look…..great for women who require different sizes top and bottom. I think the photos above will give you a true and accurate idea of the way it drapes and will look on the body. These will be the only velvet pieces I have done for this Fall/Winter season, so I hope you find them interesting, and something that you feel will definitely add to and expand your existing  wardrobes………….Enjoy, much Love……Louis

Thank you Louis for the beautiful velvet. This is my go-to fabric in winter because it makes even a pair of jeans look dressed up; also it has that “come hither” come touch me look while not having to say a word! 🙂
I’m loving it for the tweed jacket also. It’s a layering of textures that’s so rich and brings the tweed to a new level of luxe. I think the reason these two work is that every color in the tweed is also in the velvet and vice versa. Perfectly complementary.

My print team and I worked very diligently to get the colors just right. I hope you like it when you receive them.

    Dear Louis:

Looks like the Charcoal/Violet Jacquard Jacket (A210357) would go nicely with these new separates? Love it – that you make matching prints for that head-to-toe ‘Look’!

I also have same jacket in Bronze/Black & adore it with the Mushroom Feather print. The Zebra jacquard in Cocoa (A89785) is just as stunning w/feather too! Contrast of textures is most appealing…..your fabric choices are amazing!

Hope to pre-order before the stampede – LoL

Hi Pamela….I get such a kick from “speaking” with someone so far away. Sometimes I hear from Marie…..she’s in Japan. It sounds like you have quite a Linea collection!. I don’t really know how those two pieces would look together. I no longer have that sample jacket to check for you.

Just recently skyped with an old college friend in Melbourne(longtime Aussie transplant from Essex). Had so much fun showing off all my ‘new’ Linea – we giggled like little girls! Annie immediately hatched plans for a Thanksgiving Ski trip to AK in order to pickup her own QVC Linea purchases State side & she’s serious! She thinks I’m her personal stylist, when I assure her that YOU are! Just thought I’d share…..

She does! And plans to watch the upcoming Oct. shows ‘LIVE’ via the internet…She’s an Instant Fan……loves classic fashion. She would be so thrilled if you’d give ‘Aussie Annie’ a shout-out on live t.v.

I will try, but “they” really frown upon “us ” sending out personal hellos…..tell her I said hello anyway!

Dear Marla……13 years…that’s fabulous!!!!!The turtle neck in the picture is the new TOPAZ color. I try in the photo to cover the flash with my finger so the colors come up truer….that is why some of them have strange lighting effects….It’s a great golden pumpkin color….very rich and saturated…..

The turtleneck on the right side is that violet color? What is the difference between this color and the violet T neck I have already? Is it a totally different color or a different shade? The topaz turtleneck has my name on it!
The velvet skirt and V neck top are just lovely!! So feminine and fresh looking for fall.

That IS the turtleneck you already have! Unfortunately, that is a retired color, but you are fortunate to already have it!The new Violet is deeper….much darker and jewel tone than the existing violet TN.The WK TN will not be coming in the new Violet.

What is the new color in the center pic? It is not persimmon is it? I bought the entire Tarragon pieces at the last show. I need that top to go with the walnut pieces I purchased. Louis, I have not worn dresses or skirts since I had breast cancer 13 years ago. You have made me want to do just that now. I have 4 of your skirts. I discovered you 18 months ago and I can’t get enough. Thank you so much for your designs for us xl gals.
