“OCTOBER SNEAK PEEK # 13”

“October Sneak Peek # 13″ is A229472…….the Polyester/Rayon/Span trousers. The colors are ………IVORY…………BLACK………… The inseam measures approx. 32 inches and the pant has an approx. 10 inch leg opening. This is a zip front trouser and it has elastic gores in the side front and back……leaving the front and back of the pant perfectly flat. This is an UNLINED pant…….. I know the question will be…..”why unlined”? There is a method to my madness. From now until next MARCH there will be three ivory pants in three different fabrics and three black….and that will be all of the ivory or black pants for spring and summer season….the first is this GABERDINE fabric UNLINED, the second in JAN. will be an Ivory PONTE KNIT pant, UNLINED and in FEB. there will be an Ivory CREPE pant….. LINED. Each pant is a different silhouette and has a different purpose. These pants are really SEASON-LESS because they are unlined. There are separate pant liners you can buy for these pants and they work well for knit pants too……. if you so desire…..they may be a handy thing to have.. There are no pockets in these pants. They have an easy “GARBO” or “HEPBURN” look to them. As far as the sizing and  fit……they will be NUMERICALLY SIZED…….if my pants have fit you before ….these will too…….All I can say is every single time I have done an IVORY pant it is gone, and it is on a very very very rare occasion that they are reordered……By the way the gorgeous GOLD NECKLACE and DROP earring will be new for JAN.     the earring will be a little shorter….We all felt is was a bit to long for many women, but it still looks fabulous. I believe it will be in gold and silver…………..An important note!….when you look at the pictures above, realize that the pants are not “on” the mannequin…….they are just tucked under an elastic in the front…..I can not put pants on this particular mannequin….just skirts….so if they look like they are hanging strangely…that is the reason.

……………………………………………………………………………………………………….Enjoy……….much Love……………..LOUIS

The turtle neck shown (the bright pink one) ~~ is that the A72448 Fushcia?? Or does it have a different number and is it that bright luscious color??

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Shari……it is the A72448 Fuchsia Turtle Neck….It’s the flash from my camera that made it look like a hot pink….the color is in between that and the photo on the bottom left.

  2. Celia

Louis, are the new turtlenecks in the smaller sizes seriously sold out or have they just not arrived yet?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Celia…..in this case….they may already have sold out….sometimes it may take a while for a style in all colors and sizes to get processed and “loaded” into the system, but in this case I think many women ordered early. If this is not the case and they haven’t been loaded yet….then they should show up early on the morning of the show….if they aren’t there by then….they are definitely sold out. I know every piece has been shipped to QVC without any problems arising…the new colors always go quick……..GOOD LUCK

    Love the new necklace/earrings!

  4. Sybil

    Louis,
Thank you for Ivory and Petite sizes. I have the ivory A line skirt and 3 button blazer and I wonder if any pants will be in that fabric? I love it so much I have navy and red as well. I went to the mall today and bought….. Nothing. Thank you for all you do, I’m having more fun with my wardrobe than ever. Sybil A.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sybil….I will have pants in Ivory and Black in the same fabric in Feb.

  5. Marla

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have been wanting to ask, beg, implore, etc. for you to bring some ivory pants. I need at least 3 pairs, so I will get one of each. I was even contemplating making my own. I used to sew but with the wonderful quality and the price point from you why. You find the best fabrics and design–WOW!!! You understand our bodies better than we do. I trusted you with the pleated knit skirt and purchased it. I would not have if you hadn’t told us that the chubby (me) could wear them. Again thank you for bringing your creative genius to those of us who couldn’t have purchased your designs before you came to QVC.

      Dear Louis,
I love your turtlenecks. I own about 8 now. I am sad the xx smalls are already sold out in the new colors. I really like the magenta. Oh well, I guess thats money for something else.

    Dear Louis:

In the spirit of topic “Pant Liners” – Are you familiar with WinterSilks?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’m not sure. I have seen products that features all kinds of silk under wear for both women and men….even long johns…..is that what you are referring to?

  7. Donna

    Hi Louis!
Thanks so much for bringing us these pants, especially in IVORY! In terms of style/fit, would you say these are closer to the herringbone pants or the “safari” pants (that came in mushroom and navy)? We are still getting used to the numbered sizing and I am hoping to be able to cut down on returns…

  8. Chris/Jazzmom

Thank you, I was going to ask if the upper right and lower left T neck was the new fuchsia T neck without a flash on it. You answered the question.

  9. Kathnern

    Louis,

Do you mean that the opening of the leg is 10″ or is it 10″ across and the opening is 20″? Thanks! Kathnern

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Whenever you are given a measurement leg opening it is always with the pant lying flat on the table and it is measured from side seam to side seam. If it is 10 inches it has a circumference of 20 inches…which this has. It is not a slim leg. Slim leg pants range from 6 to 8 inches…….regards

Dear Louis: Your beautiful necklace resembles one in my Egyptology book I kept from college days. The gold and lapis blue the Egyptians wore still resonates today – I saw similar pieces at the King Tut exhibit in NY years ago – can’t keep my eyes off staring at the design and undulated strips of your new creation. You make the ancients proud.

  11. Mary

Dear Louis: Thank you for explaining the three different types of pants that will be coming. So glad to have a pair in Ivory, and I already have the black and white tie blouses, which are just gorgeous. I noticed the necklace right away – I especially like the chain style you used. Can’t wait for that.

I love the Fuschia color, and although I love this turtleneck and have it in Ivory and Magenta, I’m wondering if you’ll be offering this color or other jewel tones in Whisper Knit pieces to wear under a suit jacket. I need to make up my mind.

I have never felt so well dressed. You have changed my life with your beautiful clothes. Thank you.

    1. Mary

I should have read the Ask Louis section before my comment. You’ve answered my Whisper Knit questions.

  12. Jane

    Hi Louis,

Of course, I love the new ivory pants and they look great with the new fuschia turtleneck and the black blouse (both of which are at home already). But, what really caught my eye was the new necklace. About 30 years ago (yikes!) I was in Greece and bought a necklace very much like this. I wore it many years and especially liked it with turtlenecks. I am looking forward to January when your necklace will be available and it will be a birthday present to me!

    Jane

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I am so happy you like the necklace. You are so right when you compare it to something you had from Greece. Ancient things are always an inspiration to me. There really is so little know about the artisans of the ancient world. What were they thinking about when they were creating and where did their inspiration come. I love all things from ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, Etruscan etc. etc and I like to incorporate into my work. This piece is definitely a blend of the ancient and the modern. Actually, I always find ancient jewelry very modern.

  13. Deedy

Louis — What can you tell me about the turtlenecks in Sneak Peek #13? I hot pink is speaking to me. Thnx. Deedy

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

It’s actually the new fuchsia…..the flash lightened and brightened it.
