“THE INDIGO LACE SEPARATES”

……………………….INDIGO LACE……even the name sounds exotic………………You know what I always say…………there is lace…………and then there is LACE! I was immediately attracted to this lace for many reasons, but the main reason was the NEW FINISH. I call it DENIM LACE……It has a slight distressed look that is achieved through the dying process……The lace has body, meaning it is not mushy or very soft…It needs to have this finish to create the pieces I have designed….The lace is machine washable. I would recommend  turning the pant inside out and washing both items on the delicate cycle in a lingerie bag…..The LACE JACKET, A349651, has a jewel neckline, a 3/4 sleeve and is banned with solid Indigo faux de Chine around the neckline, the sleeve bottom, down the front and around the bottom. The jacket has BODY DARTS front and back to give the jacket a subtle shape…The jacket is UNLINED..It is not boxy…..The size “4” jacket is approx. 25 inches long…..The LACE PANT, A349652, for the reg, and A349997 for the petite, is a pull-on pant style which has an approx. 9 inch leg opening for the size 4….Th elastic waist band and lining is made in a STRETCH TRICOT KNIT…so it is smooth against the skin…The lace isn’t a stretch lace, but due to the openness of the pattern and the “strings” connecting the pattern there is a certain amount of give….not stretch……The solid pieces above, the FAUX DE CHINE TANK, A349650, and the crop trouser pant in INDIGO, A349647 for the reg, and A349648 for the petite, all coordinate with the Indigo lace, and are great pieces on their own. The crop pant is in a new fabric, and is a heavier weight from the tank….but still light and has lots of drape. It has a zip front, pockets and an part of the waist band is elasticized…… It doesn’t stop there……Indigo jeans, and jean jackets, white or ivory tops and bottoms will all look great with these pieces. Wear the tank and lace pant with an ivory blazer for a wonderful summer look. A white Tee over the lace pant, and a pair of flip flops is a wonderful island look. The LACE JACKET with a white tank and white jeans will make a cool summer look…It looks great belted with a navy belt…………………The VENETIAN NECKLACE and EARRING set was created to go with all the lace colors, and is the perfect compliment………….I know your first thought will be ….”these are dressy pants”……..If you don’t consider the other possibilities….like a white tee and sandals for day wear……you will be missing half the fun of wearing these lace pieces……..On the other hand the “suit” would be perfect for any spring/summer/fall/winter occasion coming up…….Mother of the bride or groom?……………..enjoy…………………………much Love………………………………Louis

Breathtakingly beautiful, Louis! Each and every one of the indigo pieces are coming home to me.

Do you remember the lace skirt w/ matching top you did years ago ? (came in blue, yellow, maybe other colors?) Do you think this tank would go well w/ that skirt? That skirt had a navy lining w/ almost lavender hue to the lace.

Dear makp…..I remember them well. There were denim pieces to coordinate. The third color was aqua. I no longer have those samples so I couldn’t even guess if the colors are similar or if the tank would work. I wouldn’t want to mislead you!

Louis, I have that skirt and top in the indigo color–it is one of my favorite outfits that I still wear. The pieces are beautiful and flattering.

And I say there are designers…then there’s LOUIS DELL OLIO ..a gift to us at QVC. I love fashion and always have. I appreciate QVC for being smart enough to have you and myself dor being smart enough to stick with QVC ONLY for you. If they cut me off right now…couldn’t care less except for you. Apologies for the long speech but have to praise you for sequin pants and tuxedo jacket. Had to have them even though thought may NEVER have anywhere to wear…but lo and behold my 16y.o. neice was nominated student of year for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I was invited to attend the gala tonight to honer she and others.. She won..raising 40000 in 7Wks. WOW! I had SO many compliments on my outfit. It made me think of you and Jac. LOVE LINEA AND LOUIS. Wish I could meet you one day

P.S. lace pants and crepe tunic already otw…now have to have this jacket…You…!

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Pamela…..what a wonderful niece you have! In the midst of all the bad news we have to consume every day…..it’s a bright light to hear of people like your niece. I think it would be a great thing if we all could share a story, big or small, of someone doing a good deed or just something a little special to make us all feel good. I am so happy the special occasion came up for you to wear your tuxedo and sequin pant. It will forever be a wonderful memory for you.

Oh my…….I have been anxiously awaiting this sneak peek and it certainly does not disappoint!!

Everything is so beautiful! All the colors, all the pieces, the way you styled everything. Just gorgeous!

It’s going to be hard deciding what to get. Leaning towards every piece in the indigo. And then some pieces in the dill and/or boysenberry. The ice is beautiful but I’m liking the rich colors. I am overwhelmed!!

    Louis,

Your description made me reconsider these lace pants (I know I’m buying the jacket and tank!) I often have my pants taken in a bit; but wonder if, with the lining, it will be difficult to alter these pants? Sometimes I have to take in the lower part of the tummy area, as well as the legs. Thank you.

I’ve already ordered the indigo and boysenberry lace pants and boysenberry tunic. Cannot wait to see them in person. The lace jacket, the crops, the tank–they will come in all four colors of the lace, right? Just want to make sure I got that right.

    Standing ovation for this collection.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Carol….the tank and lace jacket do come in all four colors but the soft crop zip front pant only will come in the ivory [which matches the Ice lace], indigo and black.

I just saw Sheesh’s post. The THUD made me laugh. I love the blue lace pants and the photo of the white tee with the pants persuaded me to buy them. I will likely buy the tank too. That look is very much my style. I have several of your blue necklaces to choose and I may add either the blue/blue or blue/mint scarves. I think that would look nice too. Louis, when you post all the mix and match ideas, it really gives me a lot of ideas. Had you not shown me the casual option I might have passed thinking they were too dressy. Thanks much!

THUD!!! I just fainted at the beauty of it all!
