“THE IVORY & NAVY TUNIC & PANT”

……………………Pebble Crepe continues to be a popular fabric with many of you. I was recently asked what is the difference between Pebble Crepe and Gauze Crepe. First they are both woven fabrics, but that’s where the similarity ends……..The gauze crepe is a slightly weightier fabric, and though soft and does have a nice drape, is doesn’t have as much drape as Pebble Crepe. The pebble Crepe, for me, is more casual fabric, though you can wear it for dressier occasions. The surface of the Pebble Crepe has a little more texture. The “hand” and look are quite different. The Gauze is also 97% polyester and 3% spandex while the Pebble Crepe is 70% Rayon and 30% polyester. The Pebble Crepe, due to the weave, has natural stretch. It is a very COOL and COMFORTABLE fabric.

…………………The TUNIC, A351110, will be sized XXS to 3X. It is approx. 28 inches long for the xxs, and has generous SIDE SLITS……It has a BANDED, OVERLAPPING V NECK…..There are two PATCH POCKETS! There are bust darts for shape and balance….The sleeve is 3/4 length……On the sleeve there is a placket and on this placket there are 4 METAL STUDS. On the NAVY and IVORY they are GOLD……These studs are the exact same studs that I used on the cotton/span TEE SHIRT, A, so they coordinate beautifully…..This is an easy flowing COMFORTABLE top. It fits TRUE TO SIZE, but if you are in between sizes or you like things very roomy and relaxed looking, with this particular style I think you could size up one size………BUT……..read the garment measurements first…..Who knows some may want to size down a size!??? I do not recommend that for the “look” of the top…………………The colors above are the NAVY and IVORY………..These will be fun tops to accessorize……..Any of the COLOR FANTASY FISH or the METAL FISH will be great fun….The new DISC NECKLACE & EARRING set was designed to go with these pieces along with the Tee shirt……..The TANGIERS Necklace and Earring set is still another option. Actually, all of the metal and color jewelry will look great. Think of the BROOCH NECKLACE in the Multi Color or Clear for a fun and fabulous way to look for a dinner out!

………………..The PULL-ON PANT, A351111……..is easy, breezy and all about comfort, and keeping COOL……..The elastic waist band has the center stitch to avoid any twisting of the elastic tunneled in the waist band. The leg is also easy and languid with an 8 inch opening for the xxs……The pant will be sized XXS through 3X……There are slant deep pockets! Again, the pant is detailed with the same metal studs. There is a placket starting at the hem and going up the side of the leg to accommodate 4 STUDS……The inseam for the XXS is approx. 26 inches…..so for my petites these will be a full length pant [no petite sizing for this style], and for my average height ladies they will be more of an ankle pant. Of course this always depends on the length of your legs versus your torso…..it varies a great deal from one person to another…….The IVORY PANTS are LINED! The other colors are not…………………There will be times when you will want to wear these pieces as a matching outfit….all Navy top and bottom. or all Ivory top and bottom. There will be times when you want to mix you Ivory top with your Navy bottom and visa versa [that’s assuming you buy both colors]…..or you will want to beak it up entirely and wear your top and bottom with other things you may own like the TEE SHIRT above……If you own any of my nautical stripe sweaters or stripe tees from years passes….or going WAY BACK my cable cardigan, and V-neck pull-over trimmed with gold and navy stripes. Jeans and dress pants, pencil skirts and Bohos will all work with these pieces. Spring is here for many where the warm temperatures have been with you for months. For many these will be your year long clothes….Florida, Southern Cal. parts of Texas and Louisiana where winters are mercifully short. For the rest of us you know what happens….Spring can be very short going right into summer!…………………………

……………………………enjoy…………………………….much Love………………………….Louis

I really love the weight of this fabric especially with the warmer weather in the South. Question–what will be the inseam on the medium and/or large pants? I saw the listing for the XXS but hope that the bigger sizes will be a little longer. Looking forward to the next show!

I don’t have that info. I just measured my sample. They usually don’t grade pant lengths, but I’ll ask

Institches…..I just got the answer to your question and it is as I thought….pant lengths are not graded…..all sizes will have a 26 inch inseam. They are not supposed to be long pants. They would be impossible to shorten with the stud detail. We felt a 26 inseam would also work for petites since we were,’y offering petites in this style……not my choice.

Thanks for the reply to my question. Sorry it took so long for me to get back but life sometimes is hectic…even for a retired baby boomer!

These pieces look wonderful. I can’t seem to expand the photographs. Could the pictures be made larger to see detail? Thanks

Can’t wait. Perfect for SE North Carolina. It’s had a few 70 degree days already.p

  4. Hi Louis,
The new pieces sound perfect for our hot summers. Pebble crepe is cooler for summer and now I realize why. The rayon! I had never noticed that it contained rayon. Thank you for such a complete description of the fabrics. Crepe gauze works perfectly nearly year round where I am in California. I love both these fabrics.
