As much as I hate it when they cancel your shows, you now have a decent break before the Big Deal. Get some rest and enjoy the last days of summer on Long Island Sound. I grew up on the other side of the Sound in the Huntington/Centerport/Northport area of Suffolk County, and how we loved our summers on the Sound! I used to take a Boston Whaler across with a boyfriend and we’d have hamburgers and Cokes at the one of the Yacht Clubs on the CT side—never told my mother!!!! Came back across in some scary storms with lightening–oh, the crazy things teenagers do! I always told my sons they could never pull anything over on me as “I wrote the book!”
