“THE LODEN BIG DEAL TRENCH COAT”

…………………By now a great many of you have purchased either the original short Trench Coat or the newer longer version. Some of you even own them both and in more than one color. I don’t have to tell you what great quality they are, and they certainly rival coats that cost thousands of dollars….literally…………I have sort of taken the trench coat as my mantle, though I can not claim to be its’ originator. I have told you how the trench coat was “born”. A coat was commissioned by the British Government during WW1 to be designed and manufactured by a small men’s company call Burberry………It was to be worn by the soldiers fighting in the “TRENCHES”…….hence the name……..All of the details on the coat had specific purposes….for instance the epaulettes were used to hold their rifle straps so their hands would be free…..The double belt loops were for different height men etc…..My newest incantation is made in FAUX SUEDE, the same quality as the faux suede I used last fall for the slim pant…..The style numbers are A343444/reg. and A343445 petite……EVERY DETAIL of this fully lined Double Breasted coat is the same as my original Trench coat. The trench collar with the metal hook and eye closure, the epaulettes, the trench flaps front and back, the buttoned band pockets, the double belt loops, the sleeve straps with buckles, the belt with buckle, and the back vent are all here in this fully lined coat……….The LODEN color coordinates beautifully with all of the Loden pieces including the PLAID BLAZER, A366537, the new MOSS BLOUSE, A367141, the LODEN PANTS in Super Ponte, A268216/A303147, and the lighter weight Ponte LODEN KNIT PANT, A366190…..You will find that LODEN is a very NEUTRAL COLOR, and there is very little you can’t wear with it…..This is one of those special pieces that is going to be very difficult to choose just one color…….Coats like this rarely cross your path……….A370421 is the style number……………enjoy……………much Love……………….Louis

Thank you Louis for the info on the necklace. I will be waiting for it. It’s beautiful.

Glad I could make you laugh Louis!

I appreciate your honesty. We have some cold snaps here. They are usually just few and far between though.

It’s funny that when the temperature drops below 70 here, people don their fall/winter clothes, excited to wear them. LOL

Ok, I have some time to decide. Thanks!!

Louis – is there an item number for the necklace on the red top in the trench coat set of pictures. Thank you.

Dear Marianne….if you are referring to the necklace in the shots of the Espresso trench….I don’t have it yet. It is a 4 tier necklace with wine pearls and Russian Gold faceted beads. It’s called the Grapevine necklace and Earring set.

I cannot endorse this Loden color enough. About eight or more years ago I bought a raincoat in a color that approximates your Loden, Louis. It truly serves the wearer as a type of neutral. Obviously I’m wild about this shade. For those thinking of getting the Black and not the Loden, I suggest that you think twice. Perhaps Loden with thrill you in the form of an overcoat as much as it has me. Better yet, buy both the Loden and the Black! You can’t go wrong.

Hi Louis. Love…!!! Regarding Loden bottoms, are the super ponte or the new faux suede a closer match? Only shade in super ponte I don’t have yet but really want matchy if possible. Thank you

A366190 in Loden is a good match too just in case your size isn’t avail in the other two you mention…..they are all good matches considering the difference in fabric.

Oh my…I think this is going to be my hardest Linea purchase yet!

At first it was between the loden and espresso.
Then I saw scrolled down and saw the vino.
All such rich colors! How will I choose?
Could I possibly need a basic black one too? Nah. It couldn’t possibly be as pretty.
Wrong! I think I’d kick myself if I didn’t get the black.
    *sigh*

Louis, you know I live in Florida. How heavy are these? I know I must get one for sure, but trying to decide if I need two…

Melissa you make me laugh! How cold does it get in Tampa???? I can just see you happily walking along with your suede trench with beads of perspiration running down your face. Even though I’d love to see you get more than one, because they are so special……I really think one will be enough. They aren’t light weight

    Thank you, Louis!

Yes to Espresso! Yes to Vino! Bravo, Louis!

Louis! This Trench Coat is GORGEOUS! I have 2 of the original short version – and all 3 colours of the long version! They are SUPERB!
All the colour options are Beautiful. Yes – I am very happy there’s a Black option!
Will be purchasing the Loden and the Black! And maybe the Espresso!
