“THE BLACK SATIN SHIRT & TUNIC TANK”

……………The IMPORTANCE of a SATIN SHIRT!…..There is something very special and very unique about a fluid satin shirt….it is pure luxury, and feels on the body like no other fabric. For those who think satin is strictly a fall/winter fabric you would be mistaken…..The sheen of a satin shirt in the spring and summer adds a beautiful silky texture to any outfit… The satin has a semi matte finish, and is not extremely shiny. It has a SENSUAL feel on the body like wearing expensive lingerie….This is NOT a flimsy fabric….The WEIGHT and DRAPE adds to the luxurious feel when worn……I truly believe a BLACK SATIN shirt is an ESSENTIAL item in everyone’s wardrobe….A beautiful black shirt is not easy to find especially one that will not fade and will always maintain the deep inky black color….These satin pieces can be very dressy or worn casually depending on how you put it together……Casually you ask? Pair it with jeans and voila…..dressy casual!…..I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…….there is nothing more CHIC…..ever…..than BLACK, IVORY and GOLD………Here you have the BLACK Matte Satin Shirt, A374709,  and Tank Tunic, A374664, worn with ivory pants and an ivory skirt, both with GOLD accent jewelry. The Gold Grecian and the Midas necklace with the black beads add just the right amount of glamour………Belt them or not….that’s up to you….Wear the shirt or the tank on their own or combine them as a shirt jacket and tank, or the tank under the buttoned shirt as a layering piece…..I’m partial to gold, but black and white can take any metal color…..Silver, Chocolate, Verdigris, Gunmetal, and Shiny Black to name a few…..I love the Midas necklaces, worn with the RADIANT GOLD HOOP EARRING. The cuts in the metal hoop look like the bugle beads, so they work really well together for a more exotic look…………Of course I am only showing you one way to wear the shirt and tunic, but the options are limitless for day and night…..For instance….try them with the new embroidered skirts…..your SEQUIN PANTS for a dressy look with a CASUAL ATTITUDE…..How’s about a color crop pant like Linen, Yellow, Red, P. Pink on and on and on…..Bring on the PRINTS…like the FLORAL CROP or the long WOOD CUT pant……….Now you see just how these pieces can work for you…..true investment pieces, and they are totally washable!………………………enjoy……………………much Love………………………Louis

Love the shirts! I am delighted that you have decided to travel, again! What a fabulous trip you have planned to the delight of your nephew! I do hope you get to meet your elephant! Friends have taken Emirates to Dubai and then to Indonesia and have been thrilled and spoiled with the airline. I don’t know how long a layover you have but I’ve been told Dubai is worth seeing! The actual word was spectacular! How delightful to be staying in treehouses, makes me think of Mogambo with Clark Gable & Ava Gardner. What an adventure you have ahead of you and all the stories you will be able to tell us and the designs this trip will inspire!!!! Yeah, good for you! oxoxoxox Cat

Louis, your trip sounds fantastic! A dream of a lifetime. How did you decide on Botswana?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

First, I have learned there is no right or wrong place to go in Africa, but there is a right and wrong time to go. Since there seasons are the opposite of ours you don’t want to go in there peek heat season which is Nov, Dec, Jan and Feb. Of course prices are less, but the heat can be extreme. A friend of one of my best friends has been on safari numerous times, and since it is a very expensive trip, I figured he would be a good person to ask. He not only recommended Botswana, but I am using the travel agency he uses for every one of his trips….Ultimate African Safaris. They are located in the state of Washington.

Pure class as always, Louis! For some reason, when I saw this blouse, the Moody Blues song, “Knights in White Satin” popped into my head. I think “Ladies in Black Satin” would also be a huge hit. 🙂

All three colors for me. Now, please tell us about your SAFARI. That’s been on my bucket list for years. I’ve collected brochures from travel companies, but that’s as far as it has gone. Please share. My bucket list trip this year is a month in French Polynesia. I need to travel while I can still get around. I see so many people with walkers traveling these days.

This is a trip that was on the very top of Jac and my list…..I decided it was time to go…I will be taking my nephew. We will be flying Emirates Airline from NYC to Dubai, and then on to Johannesburg. We stay overnight in Johannesburg one night to rest from the very long flights, and then on to Campsite #1. We will be staying at 3 different camp sites in Botswana seeing all of the big 5 animals. I’m very excited about seeing the elephants at camp site #2…..The rooms are in tree houses and the elephants roam below. We will be able to mingle with them and even feed them. I will be going in the South African Spring time when the weather is at its’ best and not brutally hot.
