Hi Louis, Thank you for your reply. I usually wear a medium. I wear a 34G (not intentional) which creates the need for me to go up a size sometimes although I am narrow through the midriff and hips. Most of the tops you recommended are not available in the black in either M or L. I have already tried the one with the ruffle at the end of the sleeve and didn’t care for that with the skirt. The ruffle seemed “too much”. I do love the peplum and will continue to watch it in case there’s a return. I ordered the Midas necklace and bracelet. I am a redhead and I do have a black crystal which I could wear with a gold necklace or the midas. I also have a peasant blouse I purchased from you at least 10 years ago. I might try that on too. Again, thank you for all you do to make us all look beautful Louis. You are a real treasure to us all. I hope you had the opportunity to look at the Living Desert website.

Hi Louis, I haven’t communicated with you in a while, but am still a Huge fan! I bought this skirt for a formal 50th anniversary gala at the Living Desert, Palm Desert. (www.livingdesert.org). Anyway, it’s black tie optional and the early part of the evening (cocktail hour) is outdoors in their beautiful gardens, but it IS the desert and could be very windy or warm. I am wondering what top I could wear that won’t be so “form fitting” as my “form” is not what it use to be. I don’t want to be visual pollution. What do you suggest? As for your next color in this skirt, I think copper would be stunning!! I like ivory as well. Thank you for your time and attention.

Dear Nancy….there are many options avail, but the sizes are limited in the Black, and I don’t know what size you are…..so here goes:
1-A302549, the black over blouse with flounce sleeve
2-A306416, the black crinkle georgette peasant convertible blouse….can be worn off the shoulder or not, good for the desert
3-A302559, the black moss crepe peplum top
4-A341728, the black moss crepe top
These can all be worn out over the skirt thought the peasant top looks good belted or tucked in. I would definitely suggest wear a combination of the GLITTERATI necklaces….the black with the tan for the latte skirt or the black with the blue for the vivid blue skirt. These match and work perfectly and will add just enough glitter for a black tie even….especially at sunset in the gardens! J482966 is the style number…….Also you may own the WK crop cardigan and tank in black that you can try with it…..or you may have a bolero and tank in black that works.

Thinking of the recent BD in the Perfectly Pink I like the idea Sheesh mentioned of perfectly pink for this skirt. I have many perfectly pink tops, so I would like some bottoms to go with them. I wore the grey whisper knit maxi skirt today. I think this skirt in Perfectly Pink with grey or black in a skirt would be awesome. I also like the idea of port with grey or port with black. Thanks.

    Louis
I am so happy you are bringing those skirts back. I own both Latte and Vivid Blue. They are both sensational. I have worn both with mostly your whisper knit black turtleneck changing up with various jewelry. Best part I am not tall so petite version hits me a few inches above ankle. I can wear my black suede comfortable boots rather than uncomfortable heels. Also skirt is very packable. I took vivid blue on trip. When I removed from suitcase,it was barely wrinkled and skirt hung out beautifully. I will purchase whatever color you choose.

    Ivory
    Espresso

A deep brown would be gorgeous. Speaking of brown, I know I’m late for the party, but I am hoping you will include a Walnut whisper knit turtleneck in your collection for Fall.

  10. Enjay

Oops. Just saw your post to Grace. Looking forward to the new black on black embroidered skirt!

And great news – after the Q screwed up my order and didn’t ship my latte skirt, one popped up recently and I grabbed it. Sooooo beautiful! I’ve already worn it to a formal dinner with the WK sleeveless black turtleneck you did a few years ago. Perfect, classic look. I’m so happy I finally got the skirt!

  11. Enjay

Black on black and silver grey on black. Gorgeous!

  12. Carolyn Muse

Thank you Louis! I would like to see a holiday red or green. Also another of my choices would be black with white. You are so wonderful to ask all of us. I also vote for a top to coordinate with the skirts. I know it will be beautiful! Thank you so much Louis.

  13. Sheesh

OK, I just saw your post to Grace re the Black on Black (great minds think a like), so how about Perfectly Pink? We already have many Perfectly Pink tops to go with!

  14. Sheesh

Black on Black is my choice!

  15. Nancy (AKA The Owl) )

Red. 😊 That was easy and Thank you Sir for asking!

  16. Pratt

I think white and red would be too similar to the skirt coming in feb. may be I am wrong!

  17. Angela

I think white with black would be so stunning, timeless, and classic.
Great to wear at weddings and formal occasions.
Thanks for taking our preferences into account, Louis.

  18. Grace

Oh, you have piqued my interest, Louis!!! I’ll be looking forward to that skirt 🙂

  19. Grace

Louis, I have both the latte & sapphire skirts, but I would buy another one in black on black!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Well Grace….I can’t do black on black because I have another spectacular emb. skirt planned for the 2020 Holidays that is Black on Black….but that’s all I can say…..The sample hasn’t even been made yet so I have no idea what the price will be!

  20. Patricia in Chicago

Copper, just like the color in the gorgeous glass statement necklace that comes in copper, black and gunmetal/silver. I love the combo of espresso and black or tones therein.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Patricia…..Copper would be pretty….if ….it were a metallic thread or else it will just look rust.

  21. Kate

Another vote for burgundy/wine! Goes with so many colors. And I have to ask for black, too.

  22. Rose

Ivory over Ivory or Pink over pink or black over black

  23. Cathy in PA

Oh, Louis, ANY deep red/burgundy shade you bring us would be wonderful … doesn’t have to be “Aubergine”. Anything from your Cranberry through those shades would be great.

Also, I think Carol’s idea of a black top trimmed with a bit of the black lace would be fantastic. Maybe all black, scalloped edges, so we could wear with any of the skirts? Oooh, La La!!!

    Thank You,

    Cathy in PA

  24. Jackie

Emerald/Irish/Kelly green would be a knock out – year round elegance. A glass necklace in green similar to the blue one I purchased to wear with the blue skirt would be nice. Same color green wrap/shawl in satin to match satin threads in skirt would be icing on cake. A girl has got to ask, ya know?😀. I am always looking for colorful tops and coordinating wraps to wear with my black pants.

  25. Pratt

I vote for Lavender, silver, emerald green 😊

  26. Carol in FL

Bright or matte silver on black or possibly a black on black would be my choices. Thanks for asking!

    Carol

  27. Carol

I would love a black and silver version. A matte silver like the latte is a matte gold. I would definitely buy a coordinating top if you make one. Maybe with the black scalloped lace as a sleeve or hem trim?

  28. Sharon

I would love to see black and white or off white and black. It has such a formal look for special occasions.

  29. Laurienda

Hello Lewis, I would like a deep red/burgundy. I love this year’s blue and have received compliments each time I’ve worn it. Also, it would be nice to have a top to go with the Latte. Thanks

  30. Sylvia

I would like red/burgundy/aubergine. I think black on black would be pretty.

  31. Pamela

Something to coordinate with silk shantung jackets I think. Thanks for asking. Pamela in the sunny south.

  32. Joanne C

    Hi
How about silver/gray, burgundy or green?

  33. Karen in WI

A deep emerald or deep red/burgundy would be beautiful!

I plan on wearing my WK waist whittling black sweater with my blue one that is coming, but I am hoping that you will have a matching tops to go with the new skirts to give us options. A shorter sleeve for the warmer weather would be nice too. I’m not asking too much, am I?

  34. Karen in WA

    Red

  35. Somersault

Louis, your blue was so vibrant, it made me think of Emerald green. I don’t know how popular it would be. You would know best as to which colors would be best! oxoxoxo Cat

  36. Seka

Your beautiful Red – or shades of Gray.
    Thank you for asking.

  37. Cathy in PA

    Hi Louis!

How about a rich Burgundy, in whichever of your shades you think best ie. Augergine, Port etc.? Although it’s not my color, I’d bet a lot of ladies might like a light silvery Grey.

    Thanks,

    Cathy in PA

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I have to use the colors from the emb thread color card so it won’t as specific as Aubergine unless I’m lucky.
