“JANUARY SNEAK PEEK #13”

January Sneak Peek #13, A231141, the PYTHON JACQUARD DRESS. This is a new jacquard jersey fabric and I think it is very chic. It is already posted on the QVC LINEA website so you can get all the details and measurements you may need. As you can see in the photos, the dress follows the line of the body without being tight. The form is an XS and the dress is an XS. I never pin anything in to look better or more fitted…..what you see is what you gey. There are two front and back body seams, so if anyone needs to have it more fitted…..it’s an easy alteration. The asymmetrical neck line gives the dress a new twist and it looks great under jackets too. Notice the small picture at the bottom to the left……..there is also a matching unlined shirt jacket coming too….but more about that later…………………Enjoy, much Love, Louis

This dress was shown in the email sent out for the TSV. As soon as I saw that this dress is a basic long sleeved sheath with a designer neckline I knew I would love and I do. Great fabric. Got all three colors; perhaps should have only purchased 2. But now with matching shirts coming, I’ll have to keep all 3. I wore the purple with a large pin at the point of the vneck with gorgeous long earrings and a huge ring. When I walked in the room my guy just stood there staring and said “You look Magnificent”. This is really a very basic dress and if you do in solid black, brown or any of your greens in solid, this should be an essential. Not too tight or too low to be inappropriate, can go anywhere. Love long sleeves; glad not 3/4 sleeves. Will the matching shirts come in all three colors? Thanks again, Louis

Dear HAPPY LADY….so glad you and your guy like the dress! Yes, the shirt jacket will be avail in all three colors. It is “styled” after the A226256, but due to the knew fabric, it was re fit. I love the two together. and it’s a great dress, as you know, on it’s own.It will be avail. at the very end of the month.

When this dress 1st appeared on Q website – my Tarragon fortuny-esque skirt came to mind by wearing it over the dress – maybe? What do you think? I’m thin in the hips & could appreciate the added layer this time of year. And you stated it looks great with a jacket.

Any pink tones in the Putty colorway? TIA

Heidi comes to mind LOL. I don’t think that will work……the top isn’t that fitted. It must REALLY BE COLD up there for you you want to layer a skirt over a dress! There are cases where I can see this working, but not in this one with those two pieces. Better to wear layered sweaters with a longer bulky one and ribbed tights and leg warmers with short boots……..not an easy look to pull off but it can look great on the right person done the right way……dancers come to mind once again…..The putty does not have pink in it.

Have a couple of cashmere sweater dresses I layer-up when needed. We saw 20F below AM temps in Nov -burrrr – wore fleece tights too! & Rock the dancer look for Yoga weekly. Think I’ll get the python dress to go with the Topaz blazer instead?

      Have a great weekend.

p.s. Got my little niece a Shirley Temple box set for her birthday last year – you’re funny, Louis.

Personally. I like it clean……All you really need are earrings and a bracelet/watch.

    Louis:

I’ve already ordered mine! I think the neckline on this so elegant. What do you think about wearing a brooch when the neckline comes to a point? Does the iris TSV jacket coordinate with this dress in the purple color?

My tsv jacket and wk sweater arrived today. This is exactly the kind of relaxed dressing that is so versatile in my wardrobe. Can’t wait to get the skirt and pants, too.
