“THE IVORY CREPE GAUZE SHIRT/JACKET”

………………………….Crepe Gauze has become a signature Linea fabric. I love it for many reasons….The weight is a perfect 12 month fabric. The gauze weave texture is there, but it’s still subtle and refined. The softness and drape of the fabric is everything a designer looks for. It not only looks good in soft drappy silhouettes, but it tailors like a dream, and stitches beautifully. The new trench jacket, the unlined blazer and the long tunic shirt are just a few examples. I can make anything out of this fabric….jackets, pants, skirts, tunics, tanks, dresses and shirts. It also dyes magnificently, and takes color in a saturated rich way…..When I was at Anne Klein I used to find fabrics similar to this in Italy…..and they were in polyester too. There were beautiful linens too that had the look, but they wrinkled badly. You will always look fresh and crisp in crepe gauze…………What’s not to like!?

…………………………The SHIRT/JACKET above, A378730, has all the characteristics I love. It drapes, it flows, it’s weightless, and just looks Spring and Summer. It has a very GOSSAMER look, which makes it look cool and comfortable. The top has a stand collar like a button down shirt. It has a button front, and it has 3/4 length sleeves. The center front is approx. 24 1/2 inches for the xxs size, and then cascades down the sides to create these handkerchief points. The front length will become very important to my petite ladies. Even though the sides are long, it’s the 24 1/2″ front measurement that will prevent the shirt from looking overwhelming or too long. The length of the sides doesn’t really matter. The sides could come below the calf, but as long as the front is short it will work for most. Also, the fact that the handkerchief points are split creates a beautiful movement. There are bust darts for fit and balance……There are band pockets and the pocket bags are stitched through and through to prevent them from flopping about. This detail also prevents the pocket bags from showing and sticking out beneath the hem of the shirt when you put your hands in the pockets……The buttons are dyed to match……..An IMPORTANT FACT!!!!! The Ivory color is not dense, but all you really need is a nude bra, and nothing will show. I have chosen to put an ivory tank under the top because I know the lights at QVC are very strong and they will want me to use one…….A tank DOES NOT come with this shirt/jacket. You all have something you can wear if you so choose……Why add expense to the top for a tank you probably already own?? You also might want to wear a tank and leave the top open as a jacket………There are many many bottoms that would look great with this top including leggings, Capri pants, crop slim pants or crop wide leg pants, ankle pants. classic trousers and a wider leg long pant as the NEW DOUBLE LAYER pant I’m showing above. Skirts of all lengths and shapes can also work including your BOHOs. Because the length of the shirt in the front is on the shorter side….fuller softer skirts can look great……………Then there are the prints and different colors that can work with an Ivory top………………This top is the perfect backdrop for the NEW MAASAI necklace, earring and bracelet in the Black, White, Grey and Silver…..They look like they were made for each other especially with the new dramatic double layer pant…..I often say it is difficult to find a summer top with a sleeve that will keep you cool in the hottest climates. Since this shirt flows away from the body and allows air circulation, I think you will find it very comfortable……….. This……SHIRT…..JACKET….is all  that, and with STYLE!!!!!!!…………..enjoy………………..much Love…………………………Louis

Oh Louis , what a beauty of a shirt you have created! Your creativity is fabulous and every one of your creations are just beyond stunning. I love the feminine vibe this has……I think we Linea ladies will just float across the floor! This may sound corny but I am just overwhelmed by your new spring items Between this top and your sand dollar necklace, I am almost speechless. I am sure Ann Klein wishes you had never left😊😊😊.

I see there is a March 31st show listed on your important dates page. Will you be showing the top and pants on that show? I love the pants, but not so sure about the jacket–I need to see it on a live model–one who has arms. LOL Is the ivory of this jacket/pants the same as the ivory of the A349646 tunic or the A293753 tank? I have those already.

Carol……I can’t find the ivory tank but the ivory of the tunic does match so if you have both and they both match each other or are close than that gives you two tops that will work with the black/ivory and the espresso/ivory pants. I haven’t received my script for the show yet, but since it is a QVC1 show I would think these pieces would be on it, but one never knows

Louis, I am mad for this shirt in both the blue and the white! So feminine, flowy, soft and perfect for summer! The pants…………GENIUS! I’m 5’9″ and the white insert will not only accentuate my legs in profile but make me appear even taller which will delight me! Illusion, illusion, illusion!! How fabulous! Brilliant! oxoxoxo Cat
