“THE IVORY DOUBLE BREASTED BLAZER & TROUSER PANT”

…………………….One of the hottest silhouettes in jackets is the DOUBLE BREASTED BLAZER, A378656……and this is a beautiful one with all of the Linea touches……The TAILORING is SUPERB. The COLLAR and LAPEL have a beautiful graceful shape and look very designer. The shoulders are straight with shoulder pads. The jacket follows the lines of the body. The bottom is cutaway and the pockets are real. The pocket flap can be tucked in as you can see in the photo in the center column third down from the top……This is a BEAUTIFULLY BALANCED blazer…..so when it is worn completely open it “hangs” well. The double breasted front is narrow for a BD jacket because there is literately only one bottom button and an inside button…..These buttons I have used before many years ago for Linea. I originally had them made by my Anne Klein jewelry maker, and used them on my AK Couture Collection….. The domed rim is GOLD and the center pearl is DOMED too for dimension. There is also one button on the sleeve, but there isn’t a button hole for those who may have to shorten the sleeve. The fabric is a beautiful GABERDINE in a poly/rayon/span blend with a stretch lining…….There will also be a TROUSER PANT, A378723 for the regular, and A378727 for the petite. It is a zip front pant with a waist band button, and there are pockets……It will be avail in the IVORY and BLACK to perfectly match the blazers. I like to mix it up by putting contrast bottoms with the blazers, so they aren’t worn only as suits. Color pants like the RED above and the SAPPHIRE can be a fun alternative to the classic colors….What do you wear under an IVORY BLAZER??………..EVERYTHING……from a black or ivory shell to colors like the red tank with the jeans…..to any print in any color you want to……….some examples above……..I love this blazer worn dressy, maybe with the lace pant for a spring/summer event, and casual with a stripe sweater, a tee and jean ankle pants with white or color sneakers!…………………This is a timeless, elegant jacket that will not only always be in fashion, but will always look VERY CLASSY!..

..These styles are all slotted for the April show…………………..enjoy…………………….much Love………………………Louis

    Hi Louis…

I ordered the new blazer in white and love it! The fabric has a nice weight to it so it hangs beautifully, and I am really looking forward to seeing the matching trousers. Just a note: I find that the sizing of this blazer is much more true to size than in previous jackets. I had to exchange this jacket from a Plus 18 to a size Large; previously (in the last year or so) have had to up-size to plus 18 in order to get the proper arm length and torso fit. Thank you for a gorgeous jacket…the buttons and tailoring are elegant!

Dear Penelope, I’m so pleased your happy with your blazer. I noticed there was a post started on the Linea Forum about the blazer. It would be nice if you added your voice to the post so women know your opinion about sizing.

What a stunning jacket, Louis! The cut away really makes it for me, as it looks so nice open or closed. Just gorgeous 🙂 How close do you think the color match is between the ivory jacket and the ivory lace pants? That outfit sounds divine … ropes of pearls … ooh, my.

WOW Cathy…..they are perfect together!!! What a sensational outfit. I would recommend the ivory Faux De Chine tank that coordinated the with the ivory lace jacket and pant for a perfect match.

    Hi Louis
I ordered the ivory shantung jacket. Do you think the ivory pants coming that match the new ivory blazer will match the ivory shantung jacket?

I also ordered the black as well as ivory blazer. I have purchased your clothing for years even from Anne Klein Couture. I am familiar with the beautiful buttons on your new blazers. They are so classy. Thank you Louis.

Dear Joanne….they aren’t quite the same, not bad but not the same…..I would recommend trying to put it together with ivory pants you may own, and see if any work. Since you ordered the ivory blazer you should get the ivory pant so you don’t run into this matching problem with the blazer. You can wear the shantung jacket and pant together. When you have it all together with jewelry and perhaps a tank, I think the difference will less noticeable.

Perfect, should be good for everyone.

Hello Dear Louis, I love your new blazers. How would you describe the Ivory? Is it warm or cooler in tone? Thank you, Melanie

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Melanie that’s hard to answer. There isn’t hat much color in it…not much yellow or blue, so I guess it’s pretty neutral.

Louis, I so love this jacket in the white. I plan on ordering today and wearing both casual and dressy. For the dressy version I would love a button earring to match the buttons on the jacket. I remember a chocker necklace my grandmother had back in the 50’s that had buttons like these set in the gold in graduating sizes around the neck. Wish I had it. It would work so well with this jacket. I feel so special and pretty when I wear your clothes. Take care of yourself and enjoy the girls. Sincerely Bev from Illinois.

Hello Louis..Such a great style, and happy to see double breasted jackets making a come back. I have 2 of your jackets from some years ago with those buttons. Thank you for the more casual styling ideas. I have usually worn the jackets for more dressy events. Your help in expanding the options is always appreciated.
