“THE PINE/MAGENTA BLOUSE”

………………………This MINI FLORAL print blouse, A385146, in the PINE MULTI was created specifically to go with the Pine Tartan blazer……The colors are exact and the two fabrics meld together perfectly…..This may look like a very simple band collar blouse, but it is far from simple!……The fabric is a LIGHT AS AIR WOVEN GEORGETTE, so it’s perfect for layering especially in the south where layering can become hot. The fabric drapes and flows and has a very feminine look…..It reminds me of something I might see in a Sundance catalog, worn by a model who has it half tucked into jeans, cowboy boots and some southwest jewelry…..It’s just that kind of print…..not fussy or formal at all…The entire blouse can easily be tucked in if you care to….it’s that light………Starting at the top the blouse….it has a very narrow stand , more like the stand on a man’s dress shirt…..It has a narrow delicate PLACKET FRONT…..The buttons are very sweet….They are tiny COVERED buttons in the SELF FLORAL FABRIC, and have two tiny METAL SILVER GROMMETS………The shoulder has a SMOCKING treatment which is hard to see due to the print, but it adds a feminine touch to the blouse and also creates the flow and ease to the body of the blouse….The smocking also provides some STRETCH…..There is a back yoke which just adds to the casual look……The sleeve is finished with a narrow buttoned band cuff, and a narrow ruffle……..Actually, more like a FLUTTER than a ruffle……..The bottom of the blouse has a curved hem which looks great worn out…….As I said this is a 100% polyester georgette so there is sheerness to the blouse, but due to the ease and the dense print “we” all felt there was no need to line it…….There will always be some who will feel more comfy with a light cami, but truly a nude bra will suffice……The blouse may have been designed to go with the plaid, but you can see from the photos at the right that it also is a wonderful compliment to PLUM…..shown under the Plum jacket and Plum cardigan…..If you own any thing in my forest green like the TCF blazer, or the faux suede pant, this print will look great with that too…..PLAY, PLAY, PLAY….Again, the WINE GLITTERATI works perfectly and blends with the print so there is no clashing or one competing with the other….it’s  all very harmonious…………………….enjoy…………much Love………..Louis

Louis, you said, “Again, the WINE GLITTERATI works perfectly and blends with the print” Is that the same as the burgandy Glitterati? I am sure it is, I just want to make sure. I am ordering EVERYTHING in the green and magenta.

Yes Karen….it’s the Burgundy….sorry too many names to keep straight!

Such special details Louis. Do you by chance know what size Jennifer takes in this? We are often the same size. I’m between a 2 and 4 so was wondering what size to get in this and the ribbon blouse.

  6. Sheri

I love both and just have to have them! The print is beautiful and the details – oh my. Thank you Louis for these special pieces.

Louis, The details of this beautiful Blouse are amazing! You rarely see covered buttons, smocking, ruffle/flutter, curved hem, back yoke – and here we have it all in this Blouse! Love the colours in the Pine Multi. I also have your Dark Green Leather/Knit Jacket that was a Big Deal a couple of years ago. Linea is the only Brand of Clothing I purchase – you can’t beat the design/style, quality and value.
    Seka.

Thank you Seka…..I am so happy and proud that you appreciate the design, the quality and the workmanship. I will forward your message to Elaine who is totally responsible for the production. She will appreciate your words very much!

Louis- I am not a blouse girl, but once again I think you have won me over with this beauty. I love how you show it with my plum WK cardi as well as how it would look worn casually. It’s your description of your attention to the details on this one as well as the magenta/ pine color combo that has done it for me.
More magenta, please! You have not done this color in years. Of course I still have my “vintage” magenta pieces.
The only blouses I own are Linea.

Dear queendiva….I’m happy to hear I’ve won you over with my blouses. You say you’re not a blouse person…..maybe it’s because you haven’t found the right ones that “sing” to you. There are women that love lots of prints to break up their solid wardrobes, and then there are women like you who may not be as comfortable wearing them, I’m not sure what the discomfort is, but it isn’t something to be questioned. I am happy enough to hear that there are a few blouses that you have liked from Linea. I am sure when you wear them it’s a very different feeling, and I hope a pleasant one.

I’m nuts about these, Louis! I can’t make up my mind which colors to get – and have a creeping feeling I’m going to get both. Because honestly … with everything going on, the colors make me feel happy, And I need some fun clothes!
