Thank you for responding Louis! And thank you for checking how it goes (or doesn’t go) with the skirt.

Regardless, I will be getting the red. It’s often too warm at Christmas for a red sweater, so this will be my Christmas top. 😊
I’m probably going to want this top in all the colors. In your other post, you said you liked the bisque top with the skirt, so that will be a nice change if I don’t want to wear black or perfectly pink with it.

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

I’m generally not a red girl. I like it but not on me as much as colors like sapphire, plum, etc. However, this is stunning.

I’m definitely going to pick up the red wrap top as I’m missing a good red top, especially for holidays.

I know this post is about the topper, but I have a few questions about the wrap top.
In your opinion, does the wrap top look good on its own with a pair of jeans or slacks? Or is it better as a layering piece, under a blazer or topper?

Also, how does the red look with the coquette skirt?

Dear Melissa…First, every question is valid and a good question….so ask away! The top looks great on its’ own and is not just a layering piece….just a piece of jewelry…or not and the sleeves pushed up when wearing it with jeans….or not depending on you…..I checked the s. red with the red of the emb. skirt and did not care for them together, but then I’m a purist. I found the s. red to be too red and the flowers are a bit more on the coral/red side….I found then to clash.

Is there a scarlet red turtleneck coming this season?

  4. Sheri

Oh this will be a hard choice! I just love the red topper with the red turtleneck, bold gold chain and jeans. A pop of class and sass. Thank you for showing these items in the dressed up for going out, the all business looks and the more casual but put together options. With these uncertain times it is wonderful to be able to have multiple visions and flexibility for these pieces.

Dear Sheri, there isn’t one color you can’t wear super casual. Wear it open and think of it as a long cardigan. Then you can wear it with jeans, joggers, crops, draw string pants….tees, sweaters and all kinds of shirts. The V-neckline works with everything!…..Also the RED is great for fall and winter….perfect for the Holidays and great from spring with white and navy and for something brighter….the sapphire pant if you own them.

Dear Louis, I was trying to convince myself that I don’t need another Jacket. I was almost there until I saw the scarlet and sapphire. These Big Deal Toppers are all so beautiful in all colors. All I can say now is thank you, thank you Louis.

Carolyn, I think you have to look at it this way…..the style is unlike most jackets…..it’s timeless and classic though it’s a topper….itr’s a jacket you will wear forever…..it doubles as a jacket and a light weight coat….and I’m sure, it being a Big Deal, it will be reasonably priced…..It’s a win/win/win
