“MARCH SNEAK PEEK #2 & #3”

Did I happen to mention that STRIPES are going to be a BIG TREND this SPRING??? Stripes of all sizes and widths, done in a variety of fabrics from prints to knits. Sneak Peek #2 & #3 is of the knit variety. ………………………..The V-neck T-shirt top is A232518………..The fabric is 75% Polyester and 25% cotton. The yarn has a nubby slub in it, which gives the stripe an uneven variegated look.  For me, the combination of the yarn and the narrow variegated stripe looks fresh and new. The T-shirt has an open V-neck…..front and back!!……is bra friendly……and has a cap sleeve. There is a  COVER STITCH outlining the V-neck, the sleeve hem, the bottom garment hem and the center front. The length of the garment is approx. 24 inches for the XS. Once again , I have taken the stripes and cut them on the BIAS, creating a MITERED V FRONT. This not only gives the garment a beautiful “hang” and drape, but is very slenderizing. Between the narrow stripe and the cut of the garment…..anyone of any size and shape can wear this style and still be flattering. This is EVERY WOMAN’S STRIPE……….The colors are………………

…………………………SUNSHINE YELLOW………………..INDIGO…………………ESPRESSO………all with WHITE………….. Wear it belted, if you choose, but it really isn’t necessary, because it does follow the line of the body without being tight. DO NOT BUY it SMALLER or LARGER or you will be disappointed! …..but always check the MEASUREMENTS, especially if you have a particular figure problem. For most of you I would suggest to buy your normal size. You can see in the photos above I have paired the tops with The JEAN JACKETS, A232350, in Indigo and Sunshine Yellow…..the white is splendid too. Your peplum jackets. last year’s denim or this years TSV, look great with these tops. I am sure you have a zillion things already in your closets that you can wear these tops with. Also, in the pictures above you will notice, at the bottom right, the yellow top with the new WHITE BOHO!!!! coming later in the season…………………Also, in the pictures you will notice the matching STRIPE SKIRT…..that is SNEAK PEEK #3…………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

…………………………………………….Scroll down for those pics…………………I hope you enjoy…the last STRIPES of the season……………..much Love……………………….Louis

What do you think of wearing the yellow stripe top with the espresso brown skirt or the navy skirt?

I think it can work…..BUT…….you have to be very clever how you pull the two together. Being that they are the same fabric and the same stripe….you have a head start…….accessories to pull them together will be very important.

I’m THRILLED with the narrow stripe and the longer length matching skirt and I’m BEYOND thrilled that a white boho is coming!!!! I’ve had the navy boho on waitlist for months and got a QVC e-mail that it is due out in May. Is that when the white boho should come out also?????

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’m not 100% sure but I do think May is the date.

    Dear Louis,

I’m loving this, but will the sequestration/sequester keep me from it? Only time will tell…

Navy for me!!!!! woohoo I adore it! I had a knit sweater and skirt very similar in style to this in the 70’s–but the top zipped up the front. It was my go to “skinny” dress. I cannot wait for this to arrive!

Louis, these are so cute; elegant and casual at the same time. A few questions: Would the espresso set look nice mixed and matched for travel with the new Espresso Georgette shirt and tank? Technical question: On the sneak peek of the yellow skirt, the direction of the mitre appears to be opposite of the top and opposite of the other colors; is it so, or is the skirt just twisted on the mannequin? I THINK the indigo is my favorite … LOVE the new lace trimmed NAVY sweater …

Hi Cathy…………yes the espresso safari shirt and the espresso stripe skirt work perfectly together…if I use the same name, in this case espresso, i give the same color standard out….so anything called espresso should be similar, but mistakes do happen..it’s hard to come up with names for brown…………
As for the yellow stripe….BOY I have to keep on my toes with you!!!LOL. I didn’t even notice the difference. The reason the stripes are going in a different direction from the other shirts is….I have it on the mannequin wrong. That is the side seam in the center front…..other wise they are all the same..

In the early dawn hours in a hotel room getting ready for a trade show, I’ve often had to have Walter double check tags, zipper placement etc., to be sure I wasn’t wearing a skirt the “wrong way” LOL … I thought that might be the case. I LOVE these sets; thinking the Indigo set, the espresso set and maybe the yellow skirt to go with my new favorite yellow denim jacket 🙂

Yes! This one is for me. I love this knit stripe. Thanks for the close-ups of the knit. Beautiful. I think I can even wear this yellow with the ivory stripe to break it up. I have been afraid of the bright yellow, even though I love it. It will look great with my white denim jacket. Very nice design. Love the separates. A little more casual. Perfect!

I LOVE THIS COLLECTION !! Buying every piece. Unconstructed knit pieces, if done correctly, look so expensive. I have several pieces similiar to these and they never go out of style and are so comfortable. Thanks for including yellow in your new color palette. I love yellow with navy. Brown and white are one of my favorite color combinations for spring. HAPPY!
