“THE PEARL WHITE WRAP TOP”

…………………The Pearl White Wrap Top…………A390846……is made in a beautiful heavier faux silk, one that I have used before which everyone seemed to love. It feels rich…..it feels expensive. The blouse has body seams front and back, starting at the shoulder and continuing down to the hem. These seams create a front and back panel which allows us to shape the garment so it follows the lines of the body with ease…….The V-neck wrap over is inserted on both sides into these panel seams…..The sleeves are classically straight without any adornment. It is actually a very simple blouse……..Now the V is deeper than usual due to the wrap over, and it is not tacked down anywhere. We tried it, but it created strange pulls and it was better to be as it should be….free. The blouse is meant to be worn with nothing under it, but some may feel more secure with a camisole, tank [like the WK shown above] or even the sleeveless TN, also shown above……I think the top has a retro 20’s look. It is a terrific neckline under many types of jackets like the new TOPPER at the extreme left. The Tuxedo, the Riding Jacket and the Classic Blazer all look great with this wrap over top under them…….It also looks fabulous with the new Big Deal Cardigan as you can see at the right in the caramel……Long skirts, short skirts, dress pants and jeans all work with the new top………Don’t be afraid of the wrap over or the V neckline…….A simple tank or anything else you would like to wear under will be fine, and make you feel very secure………………………………

enjoy…………………….much Love…………………………..Louis

My tip for these low or draped necklines: Double faced sticky body tape. I can’t remember the brand name, but it is easily found online. A tiny piece on either side of the neckline, or in the fabric overlap relieves all worries and keeps everyone and everything where you want it 🙂

So I’m a little confused about the construction—are you saying that there is nothing holding the V closed until the side seam at the waistline? I’m ordering the navy regardless as I have several camis in navy, and a cami won’t read through the fabric. The pearl is more see-through, so I’m hesitating on that one. I would ordinarily wear a nude cami under whites, but if you can see into the top when the V gaps, I would not be happy with a nude cami.

Dear Carol….I am saying there is nothing holding the V closed. They do not go all the way to the side seam. It is connected at the panel seam. In my photos I have the sleeveless black TN and a black tank both in WK under the pearl white top and there is very little grin through….nothing that would bother you….a nude cami isn’t the only answer….ivory would be ideal, but any color will work even a black one with black bottoms.

I love this blouse. I am buying all three colors. I purchased both your Ivory as well as black suit with the gold and pearl buttons last year. These blouses will be wonderful with those jackets.

By the way is QVC going out of their way to
show your clothing on people that your clothing does not flatter. The white blouse is shown on a person too large for the blouse. Don’t they want to make sales.

Your fall and winter collection is so wonderful. Thank you.

Joanne you have to understand….The people who take these pictures shoot all kinds of products. They are not fashion photographers. There are no “stylists” on the set making sure the model is in the right size or looks good. I have been told they pull 3 sizes for the photo shoot, xs, lg and 1x. The models are booked by the QVC model department. They show up and are given whatever size is avail. Many models are xxs, and look like the clothes are swimming on them. Others like this huge model in the wrap over white blouse is obviously wearing the wrong size, maybe 2 sizes too small which doesn’t help the customers at all deciding what size to b uy or if they should buy it at all! It should never be that tight and they should have given her a bigger size or have shot it on the missy model. I realize they want diversity, fine, then make sure you have the right size avail for the model booked. That picture should have NEVER been passed. QVC owns the blouses and it’s on them to sell them. They did not do themselves any favors by showing that photo.

Is the V neck wrap over in the back , too?
I definitely need this in my wardrobe. It’s an
elegant basic. Is there stretch in the fabric?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

the back is solid……I’ll have to check if it has stretch

    Hi Louis
Thanks for all of the photos. You were correct that online photo is horrendous- I think the model is in a blouse 2 sizes too small. If you are planning to use with something under should we size up?
Do you have the number of the previous item done in this fabric for reference?
I ordered the sequin tops and the navy sequin pant today- thanks for your photos. I know it takes a lot of time, but is so appreciated.

Sarah I think the top is generous. It was made that way due to the bust issue, so that really was way too small for that model. I’m sure they gave her the wrong size. As far as sizing up I put the sleeveless WK TN and the WK tank under it and there was still room to spare. I’m not sure if you wore a long sleeve and had double sleeves if that would be too tight as I don’t have anyone to try things on to let me know.
