    Dearest Louis,

Oh, Thank You so much for sharing your lovely home and magical tree with us! Do you know we enlarge the photos, and search for our favorites on your tree? Our own tree this year is small, but pretty as can be. Most of my ornaments are boxed, yet I am so grateful to have Walter here with me, to get out his favorites and carefully trim and decorate 🙂 We didn’t quite manage Jac’s “Snow on the Mountain” bread yet, but might try for New Years; you and dear Jac in our prayers. Our real present this year was our beloved son-in-law, a paramedic, got his vaccine Christmas Eve morning! Love and Hugs and Blessings!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Same to you Cathy….my best wishes to Walter!!! So happy to he about your SIL….it’s such a terrible time.

What a labor of Love. After the birth of all three of our boys, I had given each of them a special ornament every year for the tree, which they opened on Christmas Eve. My mother did the same, as she had done with my sister and me. The idea was that when they left home and had their own trees, they would have something wonderful to start with. Only one has married since and has a tree, so ours has gotten very crowded, but is very beautiful with memories. After our youngest died a few days after Christmas 2 years ago, it was terribly hard for me to unwrap those ornies last year from their individual boxes with his name on them, for every ornament held a vivid and painful memory of what we would be missing, for Christmas was Ben’s favorite holiday, despite having to work so hard thru the season as a chef, where Christmas Eve is a night where they work late and the patrons of a fancy Italian restaurant are NOT thinking of where the kitchen might rather be. He would always take a photo of our tree on his phone to show his friends at the restaurant, he was so proud of it. What you are honoring in Jac’s memory is very real to me; and I hope it brings you comfort and joy. God bless you, Merry Christmas, and may we all have a Happy New Year.
    Your Linea Friend, April

Dear April, my heart aches for you and your family. What unbelievable pain. Thank you for sharing your story and for sharing Ben with us. Why does it always seem to happen around the Holidays…..maybe so we remember their passing even more if that’s possible. For me, with Jac passing on Dec.12th, Christmas will never be joyful for me the way it was when Jac was with me. Since it was just the two of us Holidays, especially Christmas is especially lonely, even when I’m with family. Everything I can do to keep Jac’s memory alive gives me comfort……maybe a day will come when joy accompanies the comfort. I pray and hope that the day will come for you when unwrapping Ben’s ornaments brings you comfort and brings you only the good memories and not the grief! I know decorating my tree floods me with good memories of Jac when I decorate the tree every year. People always want to help knowing what a big job it is, but the tree is something I have to do by myself. I want to unwrap each ornament, recognize it, feel it and place in their special spots on the tree. I know where each ornament came from and where we bought them. That gives me joy…The hard part isn’t taking them out of the boxes….it’s putting them away. Taking the tree down is the very last thing I do. It’s like saying goodbye. I would leave it up all year! It’s so hard April, but with time the pain does ease….it never goes away, and I feel it really shouldn’t, but the good memories grow stronger. They say “the deeper the love the deeper the grief”…….I can’t imagine a deeper love than for a child……I pray for your heart, and hope the New Year brings you some peace.

Louis, your home is pure Christmas magic! A beautiful reminder of a time when rich color, sparkling light, and treasured traditions were shared in order to bring joy to friends and family. At the end of a dreary, difficult year, it’s so wonderful to know that the magic is still there.

I adore your star pieces and plan to buy the silver ring – a reminder that this year, no matter how difficult, brings the gifts of friendship, beauty, and inspiration. I went out every night last week until I saw the “Christmas Star” – that special conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn not seen since the Middle Ages. It was glorious and hopeful in the night sky. The ring will remind of that, too.

As far as the Q, I started shopping there because of your designs. When you go, I go.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Enjay…..I am a strong believer in there is a reason for everything…..Many times the answer to why is very elusive, and can bring more questions than answers. I had a very strong feeling for doing a STAR design for this Christmas. It was just an overwhelming feeling. Stars have always been a sense of wonder for both Jac and myself. It’s hard to comprehend that the light we see from stars takes so many years to get to earth that the actual star is no longer there! So to have the “Christmas Star” or as some call it, the “Bethlehem Star” in real time is a true miracle. The fact that it takes thousands of years for this phenomena to happen just makes these star pieces even more timely. You will always remember The Christmas Star happened the same time you got your ring……..Unfortunately, it was to cloudy hear to see the “Christmas Star”. I was very disappointed knowing it won’t be back in my life time. As for the Q. I totally understand your feelings about the Q. It was a betrayal to all of the Linea customers.

Merry Christmas! Louis, your home looks lovely with all of the Christmas decorations. Thank you for sharing it with us. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas Day with family/friends.

  7. Grace

Merry Christmas, Louis. Your home is magical. Wishing you all the best in 2021.

  8. Donna from California

    Merry Christmas Louis!
You and Jac created such a lovely home. It looks amazing as always. I think the highest compliment you can pay someone is to invite them into your personal space. I have enjoyed being a guest in yours.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Donna….that is so nicely expressed. I think it’s sad when a home is decorated and not seen by anyone. It is something to be shared, and these days that has become very difficult. I’m happy to have this blog to share my photos.

  9. CGee

What a Christmas treat in a tough year! The rooms are stunning and the close-ups of the ornaments are such fun — I’ve never seen a mermaid ornament before. Do you have a tree dedicated to Scottie ornaments too?

  10. Carolyn Muse

Merry Christmas Louis! Your home is beautiful and shines bright just like you. I am Believing for God’s Best for you and the Linea Ladies this season and throughout the New Year!

  11. Mary

Merry Christmas to you, Louis. Thank you for sharing the pictures of your beautiful home. Every aspect is so warm, exquisite, festive and inviting. Hope you are having a very enjoyable Christmas!

Will the star jewelry be returning do you know, or did it sell out? I sure hope it didn’t as I missed it earlier.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Mary….you didn’t miss it!!! I’m not sure if it’s loaded yet. Can you do a wait list for it?

      1. Mary

Thanks, Louis, I will try in the morning. They only have the pendant posted tonight—which I got—so hopefully they’ll have the others available in the morning. The pendant is a treasure of a piece for sure, and I’m so grateful I was able to get it ordered. What a lovely piece in many ways!! Again, thank you so much. So sad QVC is ending their relationship with you. It will basically end my need to even look at the site once you’re items are no longer on it. I do think it will also reflect negatively on them by ending a line of such quality as yours.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Mary….I don’t understand the direction QVC is taking. It seems to me they are only keeping casual and lounge wear companies. The others are either being dropped or their budgets being drastically cut. They have added one designer, and honestly I don’t see that line being a big money maker……so who knows what they are doing. I realize that they are trying to make money, but you don’t through the baby out with the bathwater.

    Dear .Louis,
I hope you’re enjoying your day, and eating lots of good things . Merry Christmas, you know every day this year has been like Christmas to me because I’ve
Received a pretty piece of Linea. Having your clothing
Was definitely the cheerful side of things and numbed the pain of what was going on…a wonderful distraction and indulgence. Your “Star” jewelry is amazing, and I’m biting my lip to restrain myself. Please be careful, avoid crabby people and buy your girls lots of goodies. 😀 My formula for being a star .

    1. Seka

Merry Christmas, Louis. Your home looks magnificent…hope you had a wondrous day.

    Merry Christmas!
I don’t see the new jewelry pieces on QVC.
    Did they remove them?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I just checked and they are all there….first page at the top. I don’t know why you don’t see them?

  14. Evelyn

Louis,I wish you a very Merry Christmas & the Happiest of New Years. QVC will never be the same without you. You’re an A+ designer with an A+ heart. Please find a way to keep designing.I can tell it’s in your blood.

Christmas Blessing to you dear Louis, your family and all the Linea Leadies.

Merry Christmas dear Louis! Thank you so much for sending us pictures of your lovely decorating. So beautiful with all the white lights. Love the blown glass ornaments! You must have to store them all so carefully. Our tree fell over last year and my ornament from a German glass blowing company that we visited years ago broke. Lots of love and hugs to you!

    Beautiful Louis. Merry Christmas!

  18. Carol

I was happily surprised to see the new Star jewelry posted this morning. So lovely. Now to choose…..

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Carol, I am just as surprised as you. I was expecting them to be posted next week for the New Year…..I’m a little miffed because QVC doesn’t state that each piece is inscribed with…..” You are the Star of your own life”….which is something Jac and I would say to each other when we needed a boost. They are all made by the same Italian company that made my other group of “All you have to be is Wonderful” The Star group is SUPERB!!

      1. Melinda

Sadly the new star jewelry appears to have disappeared…just before 2PM east coast time. I am sure it was as gorgeous as the “wonderful” pieces are. Bless you, Mr. D., for all that you are, and all that you do.

  19. Rose

Absolutely beautiful! You definitely put the spirit back into Christmas!
